The purpose of this thesis is to examine the representation of race, social class and gender in the 2013 video game Grand Theft Auto V. Postcolonial theory, including terms such as cultural hegemony, whiteness and Michel Foucaults definition of power, has served as the basis for the analysis. The postcolonial theory has been combined with class theory and gender theory for an intersectional analysis. Semiotic analysis has been used as the method in the thesis, and a total of nine story missions ? three for each protagonist in the game ? have constituted the material.

The first of the dual purposes of this work has been to describe the research that has been done regarding the root causes of terrorism and second, using a general causal theory and examining the political dimensions of it, to discuss whether or not general causal theories (grand-theories) are helpful for researchers and policy-makers when reacting to social developments in the form of terrorism. The essay is a qualitative literature analysis and I have based my studies on mostly new books treating root causes of terrorism. I have concentrated on discussing international terrorism and how political dimensions may impact the occurence of this form of political violence. The conclusions I have made is that there is no widespread consensus among researchers and scholars as to what really causes terrorism. Neither can the general model examined in chapter 5 be used to predict when and where terrorism will occur next.

Detta självständiga arbete syftar till att ge ägarna till Château du Grand Val, Roland och Marie Nilsson ett utvecklingsförslag på de södra delarna av egendomen där deras mål med fastigheten är hörsammade och där planen är så tydlig att de kan följa den utan större svårigheter. Genom studiebesök, fält- och litteraturstudier har de södra delarna av egendomen fått ett nytt stigsystem där tyngdpunkten ligger på upplevelserikedom och orienterbarhet. Studiebesöken på Château du Grand Val har gett en bakgrundsinformation som sedan har använts till analyser över området. Analysmetoder som har använts är Patrik Grahns åtta parkkaraktärer och Gordon Cullens Serial Vision. Den första har använts som analys av vegetationens egenskaper och den andra för att analysera stigsystemet. Dessa analyser har sedan legat till grund för utformningen av stigsystemet och utvecklingen av den omgivande vegetationen. Arbetets fokus har legat på att skapa sammanbindande stråk mellan befi ntliga stigar och därefter anpassa vegetationen för att förstärka upplevelsen av stigen med hänsyn tagen till att gynna viltet på egendomen och den småskaliga skogsproduktionen. Resultatet redovisas i både text och illustrationer. Det innehåller en utförlig plan för skapande av ett sammanbindande stigsystem.

The work presented here aims to give the owners ofChâteau du Grand Val, Roland and Marie Nilssond?Aubigné an integrated creative forest management planin which their goals with the property is heeded, andwhere the plan is so clear that they can follow it withoutmuch difficulty.This work has come about through the normal processesof forest management plans, landscape architecturalproposals as well as through field trips, field andliterature studies, and our combined experience fromour studies. The study visits, both on location in Brittany,France, but also in other places, as for instance Högestad,has provided the background information that formedthe basis of our analysis and the proposal that is derived thereof. Some suggestions, which we consider importantto the overall impression of the property, is provided amore focused and detailed solution, while other parts,which are important but can either benefit from havingdynamics in the design process or will be adapted toadjacent sites, are developed using a more generalapproach. In some cases several possible developmentprinciples are presented.The proposal presents a detailed plan for themanagement of the forest from the experience, wildlifeand forestry economic standpoint.

Rapporten är en utredning av tillgängligheten (enkelt avhjälpta hinder) för fem olika delområden i Sollentuna C. i Stockholm som jämförs mot motsvarande delområden i shoppingcentrumet Grand Samarkand i Växjö.De utvalda delområdena jämförs i ett tillgänglighetsperspektiv för att utredas om de är tillgängliga eller inte. Jämförelsen visar olika hinder och olika åtgärdade hinder för motsvarande delområden i centrumen. På så sätt kan centrumen ta hjälp av varandra för att se olika alternativ till att åtgärda samma eller motsvarande hinder i samma delområde.I resultatet redovisas alla icke åtgärdade hinder för de olika delområdena i båda centrumen. Med hjälp av bifogade kartor kan läsaren lätt se var delområdena ligger i centrumen och var hindren finns som behöver åtgärdas..

I en hermeneutisk metod analyseras Kerstin Ekmans Grand final i skojarbranschen (2011) med syftet att porträttera och analysera protagonisterna, Lillemor och Babba, i förhållande till identitet som kvinna och författare. I diskussionen urtolkas en möjlig medveten intention med verket, som rör såväl genus och feminism som identitetsskapande. De båda protagonisterna utgör ett gemensamt författarskap, där deras personligheter smälter samman. Det är uppenbart att Lillemor, i flera anseenden, agerar Babbas ansikte utåt och att Babba fungerar som Lillemors kreativa begåvning. Ur ett feministiskt perspektiv påverkas deras förhållande av ett misogynt tillstånd, som samtidigt är oundvikligt för att nå framgång.

Dilaterad kardiomyopati (DCM) är en allvarlig hjärtsjukdom som drabbar flera hundraser, men är vanligast bland de stora raserna. Sjukdomen drabbar hjärtmuskulaturen varpå hjärtats kontraktionsförmåga försämras. Detta leder på sikt till volymsöverbelastning, dilatation av hjärtats hålrum och kliniska tecken på hjärtsvikt. DCM är en viktig dödsorsak hos grand danois och den höga prevalensen tyder på att det finns en genetisk faktor bakom utvecklandet av sjukdom. Resultat från flera studier där ärftligheten studerats, tyder på en autosomal dominant nedärvning, men även x-bunden recessiv nedärvning har föreslagits. Syftet med denna studie var att, utifrån en studiepopulation bestående av renrasiga grand danois hemmahörande i Sverige och Norge, undersöka de vanligaste dödsorsakerna, och om det fanns någon signifikant skillnad i medeldödsålder mellan hundar som dött i DCM och hundar som dött av övriga orsaker.

With a thorough case study of ?The Grand Hotel in Lund? ,our intentions is to gain knowledge about the demands a hotel must keep up with in order to be a successful independent hotel, in a market dominated by chain-constellations. Methodology: An abductive method is used as the study form the basis for hypothesis. The first part of the thesis, which describes the line of business, is based primary on secondary data.
