Förannonsering och medieval och dess påverkan på attityder, third person effect och investeringsattityden

This bachelor thesis explores earlier findings regarding the Nextopia Effect and the choice of media for advertising, and how these phenomena influence consumer attitudes toward the ad itself as well as the brand. It also explores the Effect of advertising future products and advertising in two different media on the third person Effect. Lastly, it addresses the Effect of advertising of future products and media choice on the attitude of potential investors..

TOM effekten i Sverige: En studie rörande överavkastning kring månadsskiften på den svenska börsen

The purpose of this paper is to study whether or not stock returns increase abnormally over month ends on the Swedish stock exchange. Previous research has proven an international so called ?Turn-of-the-Month? Effect where stock returns increase significantly over a few days around month ends. If the Effect exists, it is a violation of Fama?s Efficient Market Hypothesis.

Välfärdseffekten av en konkurrensutsatt tågmarknad

The aim of this paper is to describe how to measure welfare Effect of the deregulation and increased competition of the public transport by railway in Sweden. The paper also includes a numerical example of how to measure the welfare Effect. In our study we use public data from SJ regaring quantity and ticket prices for the period 1996 - 2005. We have used equivalent variation, EV, as the method to measure the welfare Effect. We demonstrate how to derive the equation to calculate EV by starting with a Marschallian demand function.

Den synliga övervakningens effekt

The purpose of this essay is to explain which factors influence the disciplinary Effect of visible constant surveillance on the people under surveillance. In order to do this we have used recorded video from a tv-show called Big Brother, which is characterized by this kind of surveillance. In addition, an open-ended interview was performed with one of the participants from the show. We have, based on a number of theoretical assumptions, as well as reflections from the interview, precisely defined expected symptoms of the participants, that would indicate when the disciplinary Effect was low respectively high. Our observations and analysis allows us to conclude that the disciplinary Effect of surveillance in many situations is counteracted when surveillance is constant, leading to relatively low levels of disciplinary Effect in Big Brother..

Hur lidande nyttjas för att producera effekt : En kvalitativ textanalys av reklamfilm vars huvudsakliga innehåll är djur

For the sender of television advertising, it is important to utilize content that gives Effect, especially to get the receiver?s attention and then maintain it (Hägg, 1998). What is the content of a commercial that creates Effect? Previous research focused on the impact that commercials have on the receivers. A discussion of which content that produced Effect in commercials does not occur.

Intentionen till generositet - Hur den påverkas av gener, hormoner och religiositet

Many studies have pointed out that generosity depends on different things like gender, age and nationality. We wanted to see if predetermined factors like genetics also had an Effect on the intention of generosity. There is a ratio between the index finger (2D) and ring finger (4D) that is determined by the levels of testosterone in the amniotic fluid and that have had some significant Effect on personality attributes like musical and leadership skills. We wanted to see if that ratio had any Effect on the intention of generosity. We experimentally examined a group of priest student and two groups of young handball players and let the groups answer a survey that included a sort of dictator game and we photo copied their hands to get their 2D:4D-ratio.

Kommunikation mellan en reklambyrå och dess kunder

The purpose of this thesis is to find out how clients at Effect Reklambyrå (an advertising agency) view the communication and relationship with Effect. Conclusions are then drawn based on what the clients say. The conclusions show how Effect can improve in these areas. The study uses a qualitative research method since the phenomenon studied is complex and requires deep understanding. A total of 16 interviews took place. Seven clients were interviewed by phone and nine clients participated in a personal interview face-to-face.

En kunskapsöversikt över psykologiska interventioner till föräldrar med cancersjuka barn

The purpose of this essay is to compile interventions for parents of children with cancer in a literature review based on 13 peer-reviewed articles. The objective is twofold: to describe the aim of the interventions, and to investigate their Effectiveness. Results indicate that the aim is to reduce stress, prevent the development of posttraumatisk stress, improve problem-solving skills, improve coping behaviour or increase parents? knowledge of childcancer. Some of the interventions have intended Effect, others have Effect but not intended Effect, and finally some show no Effect at all.

En bostadsrättsförenings påverkan i kommunikation genom en Internetportal

Internet  has  given  possibilities  to  a  whole  new world within communication. Nowadays  the communication  inside organisations and companies  takes place  through  the Internet. The  idea  of  this paper  arose when one of  the  authors discussed  the  general  involvement of  the  tenant-owner?s association  in  the committee. Providing a new channel  for  communication  through a homepage  could  affect  the  attitude  of  the  tenants.  We  were  curious  of  what  Effect  on communication  introducing a homepage would give.

Är det utsidan som räknas

In this essay we have approached the problem with retailer brands that copy marketing leaders to get consumers attention in the storeshelf. We have sought to explore how much a designed package would change the consumers opinion of a brand and if this Effect is different depending on if the brand is a retailer brand or a market leader. Also we sought to find if this Effect would be greater with a salient color on the package. We made a quantitative study and with regression analysis we found that a designed package did have Effect on the consumers opinion of the brand, and that the design with the salient color made the biggest Effect..

Word of Nextopia - en djupare förståelse av Nextopia och hur det påverkar Word of mouth

The purpose of this study is to further develop the understanding of Nextopia, the belief that the next product will always be better, and the Effects it has on Word of mouth, both oral (WOM) and electronic (eWOM), and investigate possible causes of this Effect. This has been made through an experimental study of responses to two mineral water ads, with a manipulated time frame. First, this thesis supports the fact that there is a general Nextopia-Effect on customers being exposed to a future product, which makes them evaluating the product higher in terms of feelings, attitude and intention. Further this study shows that there is also a Nextopia-Effect on WOM and eWOM, by customers being more likely to recommend a future product rather than a current one. This propensity to recommend the product also has a relationship with responsibility, which correlates much stronger with WOM than eWOM.

Predatorinducerad fekunditet hos Daphnia pulex vid simulerade årstidsbundna temperaturvariationer

Female growth, number of eggs and egg growth of Daphnia pulex were studied at four temperatures, 12, 16, 18 and 20°C. I hypothesized that female growth and number of eggs would be lower and the size of the eggs larger in the presence of a predator (kairomones) than in its absence. This Effect was expected to be more evident at lower temperatures. I could not find any Effect of kairomones on female growth, number of eggs or egg size, although there was a weak tendency for an Effect on number of eggs. There was, however, an Effect of temperature, regardless of predator treatment (i.

Inverkan av den genetiska defekten Complex Vertebral Malformation på fruktsamheten hos SLB :

Complex Vertebral Malformation (CVM) is an autosomal recessive inherited defect in the Holstein breed. The defect has lead to structurally malformed calves and losses of pregnancies. To determine the Effect of CVM on fertility in the Swedish Holstein Breed 375 Holstein bulls used in breeding by Svensk Avel and Skånesemin were assigned to this study. 228 bulls matched the criteria of birth year, 1995-1999, > 75 inseminations and a known CVM-status. Of the total 228 bulls 53 of them were CVM-carriers and 175 were non-carriers. The SAS-programme was used to determine the Effects of CVM-status, the bull?s father and birth year on Non-return rates (NRR) for 28, 56 and 168 days.

Indexeffekten : En studie gjord på Nasdaq OMXS30 och OMXH25

AbstractMaster thesis in Business Administration, School of Business and Economics at Linneaus UniversityAuthors: Patrik Larsson and Pontus GislénSupervisor: Håkan LockingExaminer: Sven-Olof CollinTitle: The index Effect- a study on Nasdaq OMXS30 and OMXH25Introduction: A significant part of the financial literature is based on the Efficient Market Hypothesis which assumes that prices in the market reflects all available information. Anomalies, such as the index Effect, indicate weaknesses in this theory as it has been proved that it is possible to outperform the market using public information. Hence, the index Effect can be linked to market efficiency which makes it interesting to study from a theoretical perspective. The mapping of the index Effect is also interesting from a practical perspective, as it leads to a better understanding of whether investors and firms should take this anomaly into account.Problem: Is there an index Effect, how does it behave and what can explain this Effect?Purpose: The aim of this study is to investigate the index Effect.

Dexametasons effekt på trombocytaggregering och syreradikalproduktion

Platelets are important for the healing of damaged blood vessels since they have an importantpart to play in the coagulation process. At the same time, the blood must be kept fluid and notcoagulate at the wrong time. Therefore there are factors that Effect the aggregation of plateletsin a positive or a negative way.Previous investigations have shown that platelets during stirring conditions produce reactiveoxygen species (ROS) that weaken the inhibiting Effect of nitric oxides (NO) on platelets andthat the drug Dexamethasone (Dex) can reduce the ROS-production.The aim of this project was to investigate if glucocorticoids, in this case Dexamethasone, could restore the inhibiting Effect of NO on platelets and if there was any decrease in ROS-production.The result of the ROS-measurements showed a great variance and it was difficult to draw anyconclusions from them, but a clear decrease in ROS, as previous reported, was not shown. In the aggregation experiments the inhibiting Effect of NO was observed through the drug S-nitroso-N-acetylpenicillamine (SNAP), a NO-donator.From the aggregation experiments, the result seemed to be that SNAP during longerincubation time lost its inhibiting Effect, probably because the cells become desensitized. With superoxid dismutase (SOD), the Effect of SNAP increased, both in the experiment withlonger and shorter incubation times. Dex seemed to reinforce the aggregation in relation toboth SOD and SNAP.
