This report discusses how well the competences the master program in Information Technology, given by the Royal Institute of Technology, meet the demands from the business life. It is made qualitative and about 20 companies have taken part to get the results. The study has been made to see how well the three first years and the entire five year master, with different aiming, meets the demands. The results shows that the master program needs to be remodeled to meet the demands in the more ?softer competencies?, which for example is people management and an understanding about economical, juridical and cultural aspects.

UtvÀrderingar som gjorts pÄ programmen fokuserar oftast pÄ sjÀlva programmen och inte pÄ individerna som deltar i dem. DÀrför fann vi det intressant att undersöka detta. Syftet med denna uppsats Àr att beskriva och analysera vad det innebÀr för lÄngtidsarbetslösa nÀr de gÄr frÄn öppen arbetslöshet till medverkan i ett arbetsmarknadspolitiskt program.

The development of IT systems is usually accomplished by some form of system development methodology. It can be performed as the waterfall method, where each phase is completed before the next begins. One of the reasons to follow a development methodology is that the process is more structured, faster and that the product will have higher quality. One risk of not using a system development approach is that the code can be unstructured and difficult to maintain.This paper describes an alternative method in which the development occurred without the use of any system development methodology. This has been possible because there was a clear goal of the program that should be developed.

The aim of this paper is to study the long-term effects of stuttering treatment according to the Lidcombe Program in Sweden and to answer questions whether underlying factors may have affected the treatment results. Participants were seven children, one girl and six boys aged 7:10-14:2, who all completed Stage 1 of the program approximately 2-7 years ago.The children were video recorded during a conversation with one of the authors and while reading aloud. Before the recording, their parents estimated the level of stuttering according to a Severity Range (SR) Scale. The evaluations were used as reference for determining whether the recordings were representative for the childrenÂŽs current speech fluency. Proportions of stuttered syllables (%SS) were calculated from the video recorded material and compared with the proportions of stuttered syllables (%SS) at the time when the first stage of the program was initiated.The results showed that the Lidcombe Program had a significant (z=-2.37, p=0.02) long term effect on stuttering treatment for the participants in this study.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka eventuella skillnader, i matematikbetyg samt matematisk och allmÀn sjÀlvuppfattning, mellan flickor respektive pojkar och mellan elever som vÀljer studie- respektive yrkesförberedande program pÄ gymnasiet. I studien deltog 174 elever frÄn sju klasser i Ärskurs 9 frÄn tvÄ utvalda skolor, en pÄ en mindre ort och en pÄ en större, bÄda med nÀrliggande storstad. Eleverna svarade pÄ frÄgor om betyg och sjÀlvuppfattning genom en enkÀt. Huvudresultaten i studien har visat att flickor har lÀgre sjÀlvuppfattning Àn pojkar i matematik och att elever som vÀljer yrkesförberedande program har ett genomsnittligt lÀgre vÀrde i sjÀlvuppfattning Àn elever som vÀljer studieförberedande program till gymnasiet. Studien kunde inte pÄvisa nÄgon större könsskillnad i matematikbetyget för samtliga elever men dÀremot att pojkar har högre betyg Àn flickor bland dem som valt studieförberedande program och att det motsatta gÀller för elever som valt yrkesförberedande program.

Scania intends to introduce a new maintenance program for their rolling fleet. Withthis new program Scania hopes to increase their competiveness and add furthercustomer value. This thesis report is a mapping of the current maintenance program,along with its problematic features. Furthermore the report intends to describe thenew program, Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) and the problems that Scaniamust deal with before they can implement it.The report compiles basic information on how a mapping should be performed.Further on it will describe some of the theories of LEAN and leadership. Which aretwo of the most important features in this thesis work.The work has been performed through visits in different workshops, whereinterviews have taken place.

Chronic valvular disease (CVD) is the most common cardiac disease in dogs, which account for 75% of all the cardiac cases. Cavalier King Charles spaniel (CKCS) is the most affected breed and itÂŽs 13th times more likely that a CKCS, between the age of 7-10 years, will die or be euthanized for cardiac disease, compared with other breeds. The prevalence has been proven to bee independent of coat color and weight but highly dependent on age and gender in CKCS. In 2001 the Swedish Kennelclub and the Special club for cavalier King Charles spaniel created a breeding program against CVD in CKCS. In this program dogs are not allowed to breed until 4 years of age and have to have a heart auscultation without murmurs.

This work of investigation was to report how four study counsellors see upon the facts regarding the amount of admission, the students social surroundings and local designs for the Individual program (IV) at upper secondary school. Through interviews with four professionals set to guide the students at four different schools in the rural districts of Boden, LuleÄ, PiteÄ and SkellefteÄ, this has become a paper that describes how they see these young adults today. Different handicaps and diagnosis, troubles at home, pregnancy and even drug abuse tend to make you wonder how they possibly can get through school at all. Regarding local development within the program there are no strings of what to do but for every district to deside for themselves and this has led to different ?experiments? with students not mentaly fit for school at all.

This study has focused on obesity prevention efforts in schools in the United States of America. The study was conducted in two states, Oklahoma and New Hampshire. In New Hampshire, the study was focused on more minor efforts which were the "CSHP", HEAL, Early Sprout, FIT, AFHY, 5210, and Kids CATCH Club. In Oklahoma, the focus on the study was on the program It's All About Kids.Method: Unstructured interviews and observation, analysis from an national policy document. A total of seventeen interviews conducted, seven of them in New Hampshire and ten in Oklahoma.

This master?s thesis report is a summary of the analysis performed together with ITAB Shop Concept located in Jönköping, Sweden. As a last element of the Master?s program at the School of Engineering, this 20 point level D thesis project has been the final work to bring my education to an end.ITAB Shop Concept expressed an aspiration that the Shop Counter Program B10/B11 should undergo an analysis to point out and possibly lead to improvement.Through interviews and data collection proposals for possible improvements has been drawn up and the analysis points out current deficiencies. By following the idea generation, proposals to solutions for every individual problem is presented.

Syfte med detta arbete Àr att skapa förstÄelse för gymnasieskolans utbildningsinnehÄll pÄ Hotell och Restaurangprogrammet respektive Livsmedelsprogrammet i relation till arbetslivets utveckling och utbildningsbehov. Genom en kartlÀggning av berörda branschers uppfattning om elevernas utbildningsbehov vill vi undersöka om det finns behov av att utveckla nytt specialutformat program med inriktning mot ?Butik och Cateringkock?. Metod Vi har genomfört en kvalitativ studie, dÀr vi gjort intervjuer med berörda branscher. DÀr söker vi svar pÄ frÄgan om utbildningsinnehÄllet pÄ gymnasieskolans ?Hotell och Restaurang program? och ?Livsmedelsprogram? motsvarar arbetslivets utveckling och framtida krav pÄ utbildningsbehov. Resultat Resultatet inleds med en övergripande introduktion som handlar om förÀndrade mattrender och livsstilar i dagens samhÀlle.

Allt fler riksomfattande rapporter gör gÀllande att svenska skolelevers hÀlsa har försÀmrats de senaste Ären bÄde avseende psykiskt och fysiskt mÄende. Enligt en del forskare beror detta pÄ en allt mer inaktiv livsstil med utökad tid för stillasittande arbete samt neddragen tid för skolgymnastik. Syftet med denna epidemiologiska tvÀrsnittsstudie var att fÄ kunskap om gymnasieelevers mÄende pÄ praktiska och teoretiska program och för att definiera en eventuell skillnad i arbetsmiljö samt sjÀlvskattad psykisk och fysisk hÀlsa mellan de olika programmen. Sammanlagt 87 elever frÄn 4 olika klasser undersöktes med svarsfrekvensen 69% (60 elever). Totalt gick 40 elever pÄ praktiskt program (bygg- och fordonstekniskt program) och 47 elever gick pÄ teoretiskt program (samhÀlls- och naturvetenskapligt program).

This thesis work resulted in a template for how the thermal spray process can be controlled through robot programs. The robots today and their programs need to be replaced, therefore a new structure which can be matched with the new robot systems is needed. The work is limited to only concern structured programming on the new robots on Thermal Spray Centre (TC) with the programming language Rapid. The basic data for the program was retrieved from interviews with concerned personnel at TC, from studies on process parameters for thermal spray and from existing specifications at Volvo Aero Corporation (VAC). The thesis work briefly describes the process thermal spray and the four methods used at VAC.
