In 1930 a new library reform came into force, which in reality was the beginning of the modern Swedish library. The purpose of this reform was to take measures to promote efficiency, for example to increase library co-operation. The Government grants were at the same time raised considerably. However, as early as in 1930, but especially the following year, the depression hit Sweden. The Government reduced the grants until the first half of 1936.

Bakgrund och problemdiskussion: I takt med att vår omgivning blir mer digitaliserad skapasvarje dag, timme och sekund allt mer data. De stora datamängder som skapas går underbenämningen ?big data? och kan förklaras som stora datamängder som överskrider kapacitetenför vad ett vanligt databassystem kan hantera. Genom big data kan företag få ökad informationoch kunskap om sina kunder och därmed få ett bättre underlag till sina Customer Intelligencelösningar.Big data är på många sätt lovande men det kvarstår en del utmaningar, bådeaffärsmässiga och tekniska innan det kan anammas fullt ut. Arbete och hantering av data tar idagupp cirka 7-10 % av bankers rörelseresultat och frågan är hur de skulle kunna utvinna och lagradenna data på ett effektivt sätt.

China has the world?s largest population and during the last thirty years the country has implemented political and economical changes that have affected China to move towards a more western market economic direction. At first this development was going slow but during the last five years it has increased which today has made China the world?s greatest growing economy. China?s improved cooperation with the world is one reason for this growth which has led to a cumulative of the consumer market.

This essay investigates how the chapters of the interwar and the Second World War have changed in the high school history textbooks during the period from 1944 to 2008. In the study eleven history textbooks have been studied, most quantitatively but also qualitatively. For example the number of pages and rows devoted to different subjects and countries are compared in the books over time. The result of the study shows that there are some big changes over time but in most sections there are also big differences between the books, which make it harder to draw general conclusions. There are a lot more names, pictures and dates in the newer books compared to the older ones, although the number of different names is about the same in all the books.

I Europa har ett led mot ökad jämförbarhet varit krav på börsnoterade företag att följa IFRS, vars målsättning är att skapa en redovisning som är jämförbar och harmoniserad på global nivå. 2007 infördes IFRS 7 Finansiella instrument: Upplysningar, som utvecklades då krav på riskupplysningar inte var tillräckliga i tidigare regelverk. Vid införandet fick regelverket större effekt på banksektorn än andra branscher, då bankernas totala tillgångar och skulder i genomsnitt 90 % utgörs av finansiella instrument. Banker har en central roll i samhället och en koppling till alla individer på ett eller annat sätt.Vår studie syftar till att undersöka hur banker på den svenska bankmarknaden lämnar riskupplysningar enligt kraven från IFRS 7, samt hur svenska banker riskupplyser i jämförelse med de utländska bankerna.

AbstractTo take the role of another is an important and a central part of human interaction. When we take the role of another we not only learn about them but also we learn about ourselves and how we interact with other people.  Social work in this form, working with directly with families in crises, is much about understanding other people?s perspective and feelings. It is important to know the strategy of one?s work and which perspective to work from.

Studien beskriver prevalensen av Otodectes cynotis (öronskabb) i två geografiskt skilda regioner i Sverige. I studien ingår 107 tamkatter som inkom för kastration till någon av klinikerna Djurakuten i Stockholm eller Alingsås djurklinik utanför Göteborg under perioden 01-05-2012 till 18-09-2012. Katterna otoskoperades och en provtagning med öronsvabb för mikroskopering genomfördes. I studien ingick även en frågeenkät till djurägarna för att utvärdera olika faktorer som kan ha betydelse för förekomsten av öronskabb. Sammantaget observerades en prevalens av öronskabb på ca 10%.

On the third of August 2002, in the middle of the ongoing Swedish election campaign, Lars Leijonborg beeing the leader of Folkpartiet (the Peoples Party) presented the partys new intergration programme for foreign nationals. One of the proposals was to instigate a language test for all immigrants seeking to obtain Swedish citizenship. This thesis addresses the medial debate that followed the proposal in the daily press. Using discourse analysis and postcolonial theory this thesis looks into the fact that there were not unity in the wake that followed the language test proposal resulting in one medial and one popular discourse. The newspapers investigated were largely negative in their tone, whereas on the opinion pages, the view of the people seemed much more positively inclined.

Wallyfy is planned to be a social webmagazine with a focus on good content, with a quality check and moderation of the published content. The author of the study provides Wallyfy with thoughts and ideas about the website content and functionality. The main problem of the study was to explore what makes good content in social media for the potential users of Wallyfy, also using this insight to provide Wallyfy with directions for making decisions regarding both functionality and content. The theory of the study is being used as a starting point for understanding the phenomenom social media and to easier grasp the problem. The method of the study is based on user- centered thinking in design, where the author seeks to understand the participant?s emotions, values and dreams.

Sedan 2005 har alla börsnoterade bolag inom EU varit tvungna att ställa upp årsredovisningar i enlighet med IFRS. Redovisningen av posten goodwill har ändrats från att avskrivas linjärt till att bli föremål för ett årligt nedskrivningstest. Sedan dess har ESMA rapporterat om bristande redovisning av posten goodwill bland europeiska utgivare. Syftet med den här studien var att bidra med kunskap om hur svensk redovisningspraxis gällande goodwill har utvecklats över tid. Vi studerade hur tjugofem large cap bolag inom fem olika branscher tillämpade IAS 36 under räkenskapsåren 2007 och 2012.

Aim: The purpose of this study is to explore how the media through a certain discourse constructs a view of the labor market and the power relations between companies, unions and employees. The goal is to explore this through studying the media coverage of SAS? financial situation between September-December 2012 and our research question is the following: What view of the labor market and its power relations was constructed and reproduced by Swedish newspapers through their portrayal of SAS during September-December 2012?Method: This study analyses the findings with the help of questions based on theories of social constructivism, discourse, agenda-setting and power. A content and discourse analysis was compiled of 360 articles from five Swedish newspapers that addressed SAS and their situation from September-December 2012. The results of these analyses were further processed using power analysis and John Gaventa?s power cube.Results: In this study we conclude that the medial discourse constructs identities of the different actors and affect power relations between them, in favor of the company.

The Swedish early childhood system is considered among the best in the world, however, in spite of this, we feel that there exists a conflict between educators? and parents? expectations of ?a good preschool?. During our teacher education training we have observed many different preschools and almost in all of them we have listened to anecdotes about one or more conflicts arising between educators and parents and which we have been able to pinpoint toward differing expectations. After talking with a preschool director, who also perceives that expectations of the preschool aims sometimes differ, our idea brought us to conduct this investigation.In this study, we have investigated parents? expectations of preschool and compared them with educators? expectations.

Integration av data hör till ett av de största problemen inom datakommunikationen, särskilt då det gäller data från olika system. Därför utvecklades det under 70- och 80-talet ?Standard Generalized Markup Language" (SGML). Tanken med SGML från början var att den skulle underlätta informationsutbytet och skapa mer strukturerade dokument. Problemet med SGML, är att det är oerhört komplext och svåranvänt.

Data Warehouse är ett relativt nytt fenomen i jämförelse med traditionella databassystem, och i och med de senaste årens kraftiga tekniska utveckling har förutsättningar för att realisera konceptet skapats. Inom branschen finns ett antal problem rörande metadata, som i denna uppsats legat till grund för vår inriktning. Många av dessa problem beskrivs utifrån ett tekniskt perspektiv, vilket detta arbete inte gör. Vi har istället valt att undersöka vilka problem som föreligger vid säkerställning av att metadata hålls uppdaterat i ett Data Warehouse med hjälp av tydlig ansvarsfördelning. Vi har funnit att det föreligger vissa likheter mellan de problem som konceptet Knowledge Management angriper och de problem som en organisation ställs inför när man söker säkerställa att metadata hålls uppdaterat med hjälp av tydlig ansvarsfördelning.
