The wild boar population grows rapidly in number in Sweden, and it has been predicted that the annual number of shot wild boar will soon exceed the cull of moose. According to estimates, the Swedish population encompassed some 150 000 individuals in 2010. The mean annual harvest has increased by 30% since 1990, indicating that the wild boar is a species we must learn to manage sustainably. A successful management of the boars aims for a population in balance with agriculture and traffic, and also provides good hunting opportunities. For this to be possible, understandings of several aspects of the ecology of wild boar is needed. The sows in this study had an average homerange of 707 hectares during summer, and 659 hectares in winter.

Syftet med denna undersökning är bidra med förklaringar till varför upplevdaljudkvalitetsskillnader kan uppstå mellan olika akters framträdanden vid event och festivalertrots att de använder samma utrustning och är i samma lokal och att förklaringarna ska utgöraen kunskapskälla för dem som eftersträvar en god ljudkvalité vid liveframträdanden.De metoder som har används är fallstudie, webbenkät, intervjuer och egen observation.Webbenkäten användes på Dreamhack Winter 2014 där en grupp undersökningsdeltagaresvarade på frågor om två olika DJ-akter på scenen i D-hallen, Elmia. Fem personer deltogsom intervjupersoner: scenansvarig från Dreamhack, tre ljudtekniker ifrån olika ställen iSverige och en person som jobbar med ljudteknisk konsultation och ljudmätning. Samtligaintervjuer genomfördes via mail. Intervjuerna eftersträvade att ge kunskap om dessa personersfunderingar kring ljudkvalitetsproblemet och scenansvarig svarade på frågor om scenen påDreamhack. En observation av upplevd ljudkvalitet och ljudteknikernas arbetssättgenomfördes av mig själv på Dreamhack Winter 2014.Resultatet från såväl enkätundersökningen som den egna observationen visar att inga storaupplevda skillnader fanns mellan de två akterna på Dreamhack Winter 2014.

Large amounts of phosphorus (P) are lost from the arable land due to water erosion. Both phosphorus attached to particles and dissolved phosphorus (mainly phosphate) are transported away with drainage-water and surface runoff. Good soil structure is important in minimizing these losses. In this study, soils from 50 fields were analysed with respect to aggregate stability as measured by dispersion of clay together with the content of total phosphorus (TotP), particulate phosphorus (PP) and phosphate phosphorus (PO4P) in the water phase. All soils were clay soils with clay content varying between 21 and 54%.

This thesis analyzes the effects of export subsidies on Swedish cereal export. The analyzes are based on data on cereal export from Sweden to countries outside the EU from 1990 to 2003. In 1995 Sweden became a member of the European Union. Before the membership, the Swedish agricultural policy was decoupled in a larger sense than the European CAP was, which means that the Swedish producers had decreased their production more than the European farmers. When Sweden became a member of the EU the production started to increase again to an EU level.

Today there is a limited demand for quality certified cereal in Sweden. The demand can in the future increase and become a requirement for the entire market. Since the first of January 2005, grain producers in Sweden are food producers and traceability is important for the food industry. It is possible for grain producers to certify the productions under the certification IP SIGILL. The purpose of this essay is to explore why some grain producers continue to be certified while other producers end the IP SIGILL certification.

The traditional Swedish way of dealing with browsing damages made by moose, is to reduce the moose population. However, a growing way of dealing with damages made by several ungulate species, including wild boars in particular is to redistribute them with supplementary food sources. Attracting them to settle in habitats less vulnerable to damages made during foraging. This study we tracked collared moose in southern Sweden from January throughout April in the year of 2009. From the tracking data their ?favourite? positions was selected and visited in order to study the features that attracts moose during winter.

Fuel wood is currently the third largest assortment from the forest in Sweden after pulpwood and lumber. Branches and tops i.e. logging residues are one of the assortments of fuel wood which is a common by-product after harvesting nowadays. The way to utilize, disintegrate and transport the logging residues varies between northern and southern Sweden. Branches and tops are collected throughout the year at appropriate stands, but are consumed mainly wintertime.

By using pollen analysis and 14C-dating, the history of vegetation and land use at the old shieling place (Sw: fäbodställe) Öjingsvallen in Ängersjö parish, central Sweden, was studied. The aim of the study was to answer the following questions: 1) When was Öjingsvallen established as a shieling place? 2) What was the land use at Öjingsvallen? 3) Was the use of Öjingsvallen as a shieling place affected by the agricultural crisis in the 14th and 15th centuries? 4) Is there any relation between the establishment and land use of Öjingsvallen as a shieling place and the historically known increase in the number of shieling sites known to have taken place in the 16th and 17th centuries? 5) Was the use of Öjingsvallen as a shieling place affected by the iron production in the area? According to the study, Öjingsvallen was probably established as a shieling place during the period A.D. 300-700. The main land use at this time was forest grazing.

Den här uppsatsen behandlar skillnaderna i attityd till Functional food mellan Sverige och Danmark. Syftet är att utreda, med hjälp av adoptionsteorier, segmenteringsteorier och teorier om kulturella skillnader, de olikheter som finns mellan de danska och svenska konsumenternas attityder och inställningar till Functional food och hälsomat. Vidare tänker vi utreda varför dessa skillnader existerar. Produkten som fokus läggs på är en cereal bar som tillverkas av ett internationellt företag. Den marknadsförs redan som extra nyttig på andra marknader och företaget hoppas kunna lansera produkten på liknande sätt i Sverige och Danmark.

Cuttings of Lonicera xylosteum L. were treated with willow extract to study the response in rooting capacity. The extracts were prepared by mixing chopped pieces of Salix x smithiana Willd. with water in a warring blender. The investigation comprised 2 types of salix extracts based on differences and dynamics between twigs in winter dormancy and twigs with new shoots. To explore the rooting response, three tests were made.

Syfte: Att analysera och diskutera utifrån ett hållbarhetsperspektiv vad som är kostnads- och energieffektivt för ett mindre fastighetsföretag och resonera kring om det ger nöjdare hyresgäster. Metod: Litteraturstudier har genomförts för att ta reda på hur fastighetsbranschen och dess klimatpåverkan ser ut idag. Teori om kundnöjdhet för att se hur man skapar nöjda hyresgäster. I detta arbete har både, kvantitativ och kvalitativ metod används. En enkätundersökning till Winter Fastigheter AB:s hyresgäster, för att få en bild av hur de ser på sitt boende. Den kvalitativa metoden användes vid intervjuer med två privata fastighetsbolag i Oskarshamn för att se hur andra aktörer ser på fastighetsbranschen och energieffektivitet.

This report was undertaken at the request of the Management and maintenance department of Swedish National Road Authority (Vägverket Region Sydöst) in Jönköping.In 1992, the management and maintenance of Swedish roads were laid out on external constructors. When putting out a tender for the work, the foundation is from a national set of rules which are in constant change. This report is limited to winter road upkeep.The trend in the invitation for tenders is that it is moving from the more conventional executional demands towards the less controlling demands. The downside of functional, less controlling demands is that it is difficult to articulate how to measure them. The order authority therefore has to find ways to make sure to get what has been paid for.In connection to the invitation for tender of winter road upkeep for 2005, the new set of rules, ATB Vinter 2003 was deployed.The main purpose of this thesis is to see which the big changes in the set of rules are and how these changes affect the organisation and activities of the constructor.It is also studied how the changes in execution is perceived by road users and how it affects the possibilities of the constructor to come as a newcomer to a new area of administration.Interviews and examination of sets of rules has led to a list of a number of changes that the constructors feel affect their work in any sense.Views from road users that have come in to the order authority have been scrutinized to see how they have experienced the change.

With gas prices persistently rising, electric and hybrid vehicles are getting more and more common and in recent years several new electric cars have evolved on the market. Although the energy consumption and low emissions are a huge benefit of the electric cars, they inevitably suffer from high prices, short range and time consuming recharging periods. To be able to withstand the competition it is important that electric vehicles not only can withstand general were and tare, but also the harsh conditions that ordinary cars is exposed to in daily usage. The purpose of this project is to develop a test methodology which replicate situations that could appear in daily usage of electric or hybrid cars and to understand the problems related to usage of electric cars in winter conditions. This paper also discusses the major differences between hybrid cars and electric cars.
