Carasoft AB är ett företag som specialiserat sig på utveckling av dokumenthanteringssystem. Man erbjuder bland annat ett Windowsbaserat dokumenthanteringssystem vid namn Caradoc. Systemet består av flertalet DLL:er skrivna i Delphi och har inte ändrats eller kompilerats sedan 2004. Det här examensarbetet har i syfte att utreda om det finns möjlighet att inom rimlig tid portera Caradoc till Windows 7, med hjälp av den nya Delphi-versionen XE2. Efter en förstudie i ämnet portering, programspråket Delphi och systemets struktur gjordes ett försök att portera systemets största DLL "OfficeUtils.dll".Erfarenheter från examensarbetet visar på tre viktiga förutsättningar för att porteringen ska lyckas.

This report deals with an IT solution for the fictive company, Nexus Consulting. It is a small company with four employees, dealing with economic policy. The company wishes to set up a complete network environment with antivirus, firewall, computers and servers. They want us to analyze and compare different outsourcing companies offering cloud services and then recommend which company would suit them best.In addition, the company wants to have a webpage containing essential information about them and the services that they offer their customers.The report describes, analyzes and compares three outsourcing companies offering complete cloud services where a practical solution proposal has been developed by the group.The network component is based on the Windows platform and the web part is coded in HTML and PHP.The report also discusses what cloud computing is and why so many companies choose to move to it..

The purpose of this Master Thesis is to analyze what suitable hardware platforms there are on the market in order to build a low price control and information system for mobile applications, called small display module. The thesis will be underlying material for making a decision for further development. The result of the thesis consists mainly of a Windows CE kernel and a schematic for a CPU card, on which it would be suitable to build the display module. Another major part of the report is the introduction of different techniques that could be of interest when designing a processor based system. The processor architecture that was chosen is the x86.

This investigation indicates that there are regions within Europe that seems to have similar preferences and priorities regarding pike angling travels to Sweden. Swedish pike angling facilities process in first hand markets with favourable economic circumstances and a cultural interest for pike angling. There was a big differences in features between the Northern, Western, Eastern and Southern regions of Europe. They also seems to be tied to specific regions within some of the nations.The regions have diverse requirements and distinguish in terms of consumption and preferences regarding different aspects of pike angling. From there it is possible to divide pike angling tourists into segments.

Det finns flera olika sätt att säkerhetskopior, några vanliga sätt är lokal säkerhetskopiering, fjärrbaserad säkerhetskopiering och säkerhetskopiering som lagras på en molnplattform. Då det finns många leverantörer som erbjuder molnbaserade lösningar som gör det möjligt för en användare att lagra filer på respektive plattform kommer enbart molntjänsterna, ?Mega? och ?Dropbox for Business? att användas. För att besvara delfråga 1 utförs en litteraturstudie med tillhörande analys, för att besvara delfråga 2 och 3 kommer flertalet kvasiexperiment att utföras i en labbmiljö. Dropbox har en speciell avdelning som sysslar enbart med säkerhetsrelaterade frågor som förespråkar att AES med 256 bitars kryptering bör användas.

This is a project in Entrepreneurship and Creativity on masters? degree. The purpose was to verify whether the Swedish retail trade within the beauty care business was ready for an in-troduction of colour cosmetics. Through the qualitative research grounded theory, I made several phone interviews with independence retail traders within the Swedish beauty care business. The selection of respondents is based on statistical facts and geographic coverage of Swedish beauty care shops.

The aim of this essay is to examine how parents to children with large undiagnosed behaviour problems experience the parent role and the support they can obtain in their role as parents.To get a deeper description of the parent?s situation a qualitative method is used for the study. The interview carried out through a personal meeting and a question schedule with opened questions where used.The answers of the interview show that parents experience lot of problems. The children don?t get the support in school that the parent think they need because the child don?t have diagnose.

Ett nystartat företag ville skapa en hemsida som såg ut och fungerade som Outlook.  Denna sida skulle senare kunna kopplas till Exchange eller något liknande e-postserverprogram. Under arbetets gång så installerades en labbserver med Exchange. När servern var färdig så skulle det gå att koppla upp företaget Teleriks webmaillösning för att sedan kolla om den klarar av Exchange. Målet var att en sida liknande Outlook, till utseende samt funktion, skulle skapas. Denna sida skulle sedan kopplas ihop med en fungerande Exchange server.

Overall aim of this master?s thesis is to describe and identify perceived barriers in Swedish businesses within solar energy field and analyze, based on four theoretical viewpoints, how these barriers can be handled. In other words how can the barriers be overcome or eliminated to better succeed in the commercialization process? The method applied is qualitative in which data has been collected through phone interviews originated from seven Cleantech businesses which operate within solar energy. Furthermore this thesis has a descriptive- and an explorative purpose.

Att implementera scriptmotorer i Windows-applikationer öppnar upp många intressanta möjligheter, varav en av dessa är att göra kundanpassningar till ett system utan att kompilera om källkoden. Några problemställningar som skall utvärderas är hur det kan implementeras en scriptmotor till ett affärssystem och vad finns det för färdiga scriptmotorer och scriptspråk som kan användas, och hur det på ett lämpligt sätt kan skapas anropspunkter till script så som händelser, knappar och menypunkter. I denna uppsats ges ett förslag på en möjlighet att anpassa ett affärssystem under dess exekvering genom att integrera en scriptmotor till systemet. Denna teknik kommer att tillåta olika kunder att själva anpassa ett system efter deras egna behov, men dock inom ett visst ramverk. Syftet med detta är att öppna upp möjligheten att skapa egna anpassningar av systemet på ett snabbt och ekonomiskt tillvägagångssätt..

AbstractThis report intends through a case study to investigate if lightweight concrete isappropriate as main material in the outer wall of a seven storey residential building.A technical design is carried out in accordance with the definitions and requirementsfor passive houses, given by FEBY?s1 ?Demand specification for passive houses?.A literature review is also carried out for a comparison between regular bolt wall andlight weight concrete wall, with a focus on the safety of moisture.The lightweight concrete block used in the report is as a celblock produced by thecompany H+H Sweden AB.The methods used have resulted in compliance with requirements andrecommendations from authorities. Calculations of energy, noise and moisture riskassessment has been carried out.The work has resulted in the conclusion that the lightweight concrete itself is notable to isolate in the extent necessary to obtain chosen U-value of 0,1 W/m2 ° C,without getting to thick. Therefore additional insulation is needed. There are fewrelevant reference objects built with only light weight concrete.

To efficiently examine volumetric data sets from CT or MRI scans good volume rendering applications are needed. This thesis describes the design and implementation of an application programming interface (API) to be used when developing volume-rendering applications. A complete application programming interface has been designed. The interface is designed so that it makes writing application programs containing volume rendering fast and easy. The interface also makes created application programs hardware independent.

This Masters thesis work describes a comparison between two different methods for estimation of the down channel (base station to mobile subscriber) in Wide-band Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA). The first estimation method, Optimal Feed-forward Channel Estimation (OFCE), is a conventional method that bases the estimates on data that is known to both sender and receiver, so called pilots. The second method, Decision Directed Channel Estimation (DDCE), is an elaboration of OFCE. It also uses user data for estimation. Simulations show that DDCE, in comparison to OFCE, does not attain an improvement in signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR) for high bit error rates (BER).

This essay elucidates upper secondary students? literacy practices, (literacy events, literacy competencies and literacy culture) during a typical day, with focus on the daily literacy practices. A literacy ethnographic study conducted in the environment which participants naturally are, at home, at school and in leisure. The study is inspired of a project, Skriftbruk i arbetslivet, ´Literacy Practices in Working Life´, that conducted by Anna-Malin Karlsson, Per Ledin and Olle Josephson, in collaboration with Vetenskapsrådet ´Science Council´(2002-2004).The result of this study shows that students from professional preparing programs not use such literacy competencies that been tested in traditionally reading comprehension test, particularly much. However, do they read a lot during the literacy practices day by television, computer and mobile phone.

GPS används idag för personlig navigering men dessvärre är GPS beroende av fri sikt och presterar sämre i en inomhusmiljö. Ett IPS, inomhuspositioneringssystem, skulle komplet-tera GPS:ens funktion samt öppna dörrar för nya användningsområden inom positionering. I detta examensarbete studerades metoder och tekniker för att möjliggöra ett IPS för en mo-bil enhet. Där teknikerna och metoderna verifieras för att kunna implementeras i en mobil-telefon.En prototyp för ett IPS framställdes för att utreda möjligheterna att navigera i en inomhus-miljö. En radiofingeravtrycksmetod baserat på RSSI-mätningar från Bluetooth-enheter im-plementerades och integrerades med en dödräkningsmetod som använder en IMU för att positionera användaren.
