Problembakgrund År 2002 upphandlade SKF Mekan en ny produktionsanläggning för bearbetning av medelstora lagerhus. Anläggningen, Line 2, installerades under hösten/vintern 2004 och är ett led i SKF Mekans utveckling mot ett modernare produktionstänkande. Den nya produktionslinjen är automatiserad och uppbyggd så att ställtiden reducerats. Något som har föranlett ett behov av att utreda möjligheten till en flexiblare produktion och användandet av mindre batchstorlekar. Syfte Syftet med arbetet är att minska den totala genomloppstiden för att kunna leverera snabbare, sänka nivån på produkter i arbete och minska färdigvarulagret.

Rabies is a fatal zoonotic disease spread worldwide. The most common sources of infection for all animals and humans are bites from dogs or bats. The aim of this degree project was to diagnose and determine the source of infection for 11 rabies samples from São Paulo State and Minas Gerais State, Brazil. Diagnosis was made through direct immunofluorescence assay, mouse inoculation and RT-PCR. The sources of infection were determined by sequencing 234 nucleotides of the 5? end of the N-gene and align these with homologous sequences retrieved from GenBank.

This thesis discusses how the education in the Master of Engineering program can change to become more into line for the students needs, especially for the women, both directly in the education situation and later in their occupational roles. This is done using a gender perspective. Both the education and the occupation today is characterised by masculine norms and values. The education lacks gender perspective and is created by men, for men. The thesis gives concrete proposals on how to change two existing courses to better fit the students.

Ett vanligt förfarande i parapsykologiska s.k. ganzfeldexperiment är attmed hjälp av vitt brus, som spelas upp i hörlurar, försöka omslutaförsökspersoner i ett slags totalt och oföränderligt perceptuellttillstånd. I föreliggande studie undersöks konsekvenserna av attanvända vitt brus som bakgrundsljud. 30 försökspersoner har lyssnattill åtta ljudslingor innehållandes fyra typer av brus vid två olikaljudnivåer, för att sedan i ett enkätformulär uppskatta hur dessa ljudpåverkat dem. Resultatet visar på signifikanta effekter av så välbrustyp som amplitud, och dessutom en signifikant interaktionseffektdem emellan.

Sökningarna var begränsade inom publiceringsåren 2009 - 2013.Huvudresultat: De unga människorna upplevde många olika besvärande symtom som sågs som ett hinder till ett ?normalt? liv, och symtomen visade sig ha ett samband med ungdomarnas sömnkvalitet samt ångest och depression.

The purpouse with this litterature review is to investigate how women diagnosed with fibromyalgia handle their disease and what it implicates for a partner. The questions are: How do women suffering from fibromyalgia experience and deal with their daily life? What does it mean to live with a person diagnosed with fibromyalgia? In order to answer these question, scientific articles were reviewed and then analyzed with an inductive approach. The analysis generated three themes concerning women's experiences and dealing with fibromyalgia: losses/adjustment, changed relationships, lack of knowledge and three themes describing partners' experiences: increased responsibility/new tasks, changed relationships and lack of knowledge..

The Internet provides the common user with a variety of both traditional and non-traditional news sources, and a vast range of possibilities to contribute to the flow of information. By their participation in the production of information ordinary citizens can sometimes function as non-traditional news sources them selves and reach a potentially unlimited audience. The interactive nature of the Internet blurs the line between producers and consumers, and challenges traditional definitions of what counts as "news" as well as who qualifies as a "journalist". The main purpose of this thesis is to examine the potential consequences of this decentralization regarding the information behaviour of newspaper journalists and their perception of their professional role. The study consists of qualitative interviews with six journalists, employed by four of the leading Swedish newspapers, and a review of earlier research in the field.

Sövning av kaniner är förenat med stora risker och säkra alternativ till inhalationsanestesi behöver utvecklas. I denna studie utvärderades intravenös anestesi med midazolam och sufentanil, för induktion och underhåll, på åtta New Zeeland White-kaniner av honkön. Samtliga kaniner premedicinerades med medetomidin i låg dos. Narkosen inducerades intravenöst med en blandning av midazolam och sufentanil (medeldos 0,09 mg/kg midazolam och 0,48 µg/kg sufentanil). Kaninerna hölls därefter sövda i 60 minuter via kontinuerlig infusion av samma blandning (medeldos 0,13 mg/kg/h midazolam och 0,72 µg/kg/h sufentanil).

In this paper I will attempt to recreate a prehistoric landscape surrounding the rock carving site of Släbro at Nyköping in Södermanlands län by using GIS. The main focus area is the river valley at Släbro and the six panels with rock carvings that have been dated to the Bronze Age. I?ll attempt to shed light on a long lost landscape. The shore line displacement have been extensive in this area a reconstruction will visualize the relationship between the panels, and their relationship to the surrounding landscape.

The purpose of this essay is to examine the everyday beliefs about mental illness surrounding the disease and how these are expressed and affects the sick life and identity. The focus is on the sick perspective, where a concept of norms, normalization and taboo forms a basis in the use of materials, which here consists of qualitative interviews and Internet forums. This is analyzed and then discussed with the help from structuralism and poststructuralism approach, where I mainly refer to the social anthropologist Mary Douglas, ethnologist Lars-Eric Jönsson and philosopher Michael Foucault. Tail-biting in pigs is an animal welfare issue and in Sweden during 2002 the producers lost tree million Swedish crowns because of tail biting. This economic loss depends on the pigs which are discarded at slaughter because of tail biting. Tail biting can be separated into two stages, "pre-injury" and "injury". The aim of this study is to investigate if tail biting depends on environment or genetic background.A lot of research on the environments effects on the behaviour of pigs but not so much on the genetic effects has been performed. The frequency of tail biting in pig farms influence among others of environment enrichment, ventilation, gender and breed of the pig.
