The main purpose of this Master?s thesis is to investigate the experience of art students and their attitudes and use of information during the last years of their Master?s degree. I also examine their opinions about the art education in general. The theoretical framework encompasses a sociocultural approach within the field of psychology-pedagogy and library- as well as information science. The empirical material has been collected through qualitative interviews with seven students studying at an art school in Sweden.

As students of graphic design the craft of print is close to our hearts. One of the most essential mediums of the evolution of printing techniques is the poster. In a world where digital mediums are being utilized to a greater degree everyday, our love for the printed poster makes us wonder if the days of the poster are counted.What we did was to take a closer look at the role of the poster in promoting events. We focused on the Stockholm area and did qualitative interviews with three different event promoters. Live Nation which is an international live entertainment promoter, Dramaten which is one of Sweden?s most well respected theaters and Stockholm Live which is a stand up comedy promoter in Stockholm city.From doing this we learned that economics play an important part in defining the role of the poster.

Thou it´s mainly due to a patient perspective should also nurses' perspectives be significant to obtain a faceted perception of the phenomenon.Aim: The purpose of this study was to describe how nurses perceive the phenomenon of anticipation of a somatic emergency department.Method: The analysis was performed using a phenomenological approach. The study was conducted in a medium-sized hospital in southern Sweden, during the latter part of 2005, and had a qualitative approach based on a lifeworld perspective. Data collection consisted of written stories from twelve nurses.Results: The results indicated that the waiting was the scene of the expectations. These expectations led to dilemmas, powerlessness and frustration, the more the phenomenon was allowed to stand.

Our thesis focus on how retirees perceive Tv4s news casts of economy news where we focused on five different aspects: What is the relationship between the news cast and the viewer and how does the viewer express their understanding of the news cast and the way it is constructed? What are the viewers attitude towards the news content and how do they find the news cast useful for them personally?We choosed retirees as our target group due to their vulnerable economic position in today?s society and TV as an important medium for them due to the digital divide. The study was performed with twelve qualitative interviews and one group interview where six retirees took part.We discovered a big interest for economic news in the target group. The majority had a sympathetic view of the news cast they saw but they also expressed skepticism toward the economy segment and/or news castings. The majority expressed a lack of trust for the journalists and the experts brought in to share observations and make announcements, and the financial business overall.

Internet har tagit världen med storm och erbjuder nu otroligt många funktioner. Detta medium har vuxit från att främst ha varit ett informationsmedium till att vara en handelsplats. Fler och fler företag förstår nu vikten av att marknadsföra sig via Internet. Utifrån temaparken Astrid Lindgrens Världs fall har vi därför undersökt vilka marknadsföringsmetoder Internet erbjuder. Vi har också analyserat huruvida dessa metoder är tillämpliga på temaparkens samtliga marknader.Teori i form av litteraturstudier av traditionella marknadsföringsmetoder och internetmarknadsföring samt Internets spridning i Sverige och Europa genomfördes.

Inledning: Bujinkan är en kampsportstil som delvis riktade in sig på att träna balansen och hur det går att använda och anpassa den i olika situationer. Dessutom visar andra studier på att kampsport kan förbättra balansförmågan. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att se hur en nio veckors intervention med bujinkanträning påverkar balansförmågan. Metod: denna studie genomfördes som En single subject experimental studie med ABA-design genomfördes, där tre deltagare fick träna Bujinkan två gånger i veckan under nio veckor. Före, under och efter träningsperioden genomförde deltagarna ett balanstest (pelikantest) samt besvarade en enkätfråga om hur de upplevde sin balansförmåga (VAS-skala).

Syftet med arbetet är att identifiera och lyfta fram ett antal riktlinjer för den visuella designen av animerad bild som används i utbildningssammanhang. Vi ämnar också att identifiera vilka stilelement inom animerad undervisningsfilm som står sig över tid och olika medium. Att belysa de nya kvaliteter och möjligheter som framkommer i och med det digitala mediet. Vi kommer också att titta på hur målgrupp och mottagarkontext påverkar formens uttryck och innehåll.Vi har med en gemensam analysmodell gjort en kvalitativ analys av tre tidstypiska animerade undervisningsfilmer, Camouflage (1943), Den Vidunderliga Världshistorien (1993) och Gutten og Torsken (2007) som alla använder sig av humor som en förstärkning av lärandet.Genom analysen har vi kunnat identifiera stilelement så som användandet av stereotyper och metaforer, konstaterat hur innehåll och uttryck till stor del påverkats av målgrupp och mottagarkontext men även av gällande distribution och tekniska möjligheter..

This study aims to find out what relationship high school students have to social networks at the Internet. This has been done by focusing on norms/standards that adolescents can feel under stress to achieve, through stressing themselves by social networks in a way that is consistent with the norms. The empirical data has been gathered by questionnaires which have been answered by adolescents in randomly selected schools and classes in a medium size Swedish town, Karlskrona. The result showed that all of the participating adolescents have user accounts on a social network. Furthermore it also emerged that a lot of the adolescents thought that norms existed that should be followed in a social network about how to stress oneself.

Within the literature and film sciences there are clear models of storytelling and methods of creating a good story. In the game industry it's more difficult because the games are often non-linear, and games are a less established medium than the other two. With this study our purpose was to examine game developers and methods they used when creating a videogame, with focus on storytelling. Four interviews were made with representatives from four different videogame companies in Sweden. The information from the interviews was put in relation to theories regarding the structure of videogames and an established model for creating videogames.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka i vilken grad olika fysiska avvikelser kring en humanoids ögon/syn kan framkalla stötande känslor, de fysiska avvikelser som undersöks är: sjukdom, stympning och mutation. Studien byggde bland annat kring teorier kopplade till attraktivitet och hälsa och undersökte hur man kan använda ohälsa för att väcka stötande känslor.Inför studien skapades totalt åtta porträtt, en för varje fysisk avvikelse samt kön. En enkät skickades sedan ut till män och kvinnor i åldrarna 18-29 där de fick ta ställning till porträtten genom att gradera dem utifrån en 7-siffrig skala.Resultatet i undersökningen visade att majoriteten av respondenterna upplevde den fysiska avvikelse mutation som mest stötande, detta på grund av dess omänskliga utseende. Det fanns dock en problematik kring användningen av 3D modeller i undersökningen, framtida arbete skulle gynnas av att använda ett annat medium, exempelvis fotografi..

This paper explores the accessibility for patrons with different physical disabilities in regards to materials, service, the library building and its website at two typical, medium-sized public libraries in Sweden.The case study is based on interviews, observations, and document and literature studies. As a theoretical framework for this study, Buckland?s model of information barriers is used to describe, discuss and evaluate how the two libraries work with accessibility. In addition, international and national guidelines are used to measure whether additional actions are required of the libraries to improve the accessibility.The results show that both libraries are well suited in various respects to provide for the different needs and the requirements of patrons with physical disabilities. Some obstacles still exist in both libraries, especially in the lack of literature in accessible formats in different languages.

Många samtidskonstnärer arbetar idag aktivt med berättelsens struktur, konstverken fungerar som en del i en mer omfattande process som fogar samman det visuella uttrycket med berättande och en övergripande dramaturgi.I detta examensarbete försöker jag synliggöra hur ett konstverks berättelsestruktur kan urskiljas dels genom att använda olika teoretiska perspektiv, där jag bland annat försöker svara på frågan,vad är en berättelse? Men även undersöka hur en berättelses struktur kan urskiljas visuellt, genom mitt gestaltande arbete. I både den teoretiska och gestaltande delen försöker jag visa att en berättelse är under ständig transformation, samt mottagarens roll i skapandet av en berättelse.Jag kommer röra mig mellan den strukturalistiska uppdelningen av ?den klassiska berättelsen? till en mer poststrukturalistisk utvidgad syn. Jag kommer även ha som utgångspunkt att berättelsen är en aktiv deltagare i skapandet av vår sociala praktik.Mitt examensarbete har utgått ifrån frågeställningen:Vilka berättarstrukturer kan urskiljas i samtidskonstnärers konstverk/projekt? Hur arbetar dessa konstnärer med berättelsens egenskaper och villkor? Hur påverkar berättarstrukturen i sin tur konstverket/projektet?Till mitt gestaltade arbete bad jag fem personer välja varsin filmscen, denna filmscen återberättades sedan muntligt för mig (utan att avslöja vilken film) utifrån berättelserna gjorde jag teckningar som sedan blev till fem animerade scener.Scenerna presenteras i en följd..

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to find out how much influence underlying factors have in connection to the internationalization of Born Global firms. Methodology: This study has a qualitative approach in which data is obtained mainly through interviews and secondary data which consists previous theories about the internationalization in small and medium sized firms and recent theories that entitle these firms as Born Global. Conclusion: Based on the existing theories and the qualitative data, we have concluded that the underlying factors for the Born Global firm?s internationalization are abilities and opportunities to create insidership in relevant networks. The most crucial underlying factors for Born Global firm?s internationalization are the ability to create processes to break old patterns of thoughts and the ability to ally with right partners. .

Problemformulering och syfte: Det är sedan tidigare konstaterat att fo?rpackningens visuella utformning a?r ett viktigt marknadsförings- och positioneringsverktyg och används för att kommunicera varumärken. Den visuella utformningen är särskilt viktig på förpackningar till lågengagemangsprodukter då tidigare forskning visat att konsumenter ofta väljer förpackningar baserat på deras utseende. För den växande marknaden är det intressant att se hur förpackningen används fo?r att positionera ekologi och ekologiska produkter och hur konsumenter uppfattar ekologiska förpackningars kommunikation.
