This thesis presents a study aiming to identify the selection criteria for the digitization of posters at the National Library of Sweden (Kungl. biblioteket). The theory is that cultural heritage institutions are empowered to decide how our cultural heritage is presented as they select what items (or, as in this study, posters) will be digitized. The poster is studied as it is an interesting media form which historically was an important means of communication. The poster can represent and reflect historical events and opinions in society.

Syftet var att underso?ka och identifiera vilka frames som respektive kanal anva?nder sig av samt hur de behandlar uppsatsens tre fra?gesta?llningar, A) Vad har ha?nt? B) Vem a?r ansvarig? och C) Hur bo?r man agera?. Studien har utga?tt ifra?n tidigare forskning och teorier om begreppet framing och dess olika variationer sa? som generic/issue specific, visual framing etc.

The purpose with this essay is to study the public support givers view of the concept innovation and to study how the public support givers discuss and act around the division of public support to entrepreneurs innovations. The purpose is further to describe if the division of public support favour or not favour environmental innovations and to examine if the public support givers consider the industry for environmental innovations is profitable for the society?s economy.We have done several case studies where we have interviewed eight public support. Support givers in this essay are defined as public authorities and other organisations on local, national and/or international level that gives public support to innovations. The public support givers that take part of the essay is VINNOVA, ALMI Stockholm, Innovationsbron, Energimyndigheten, SU Holding AB, KTH Holding, Västra Götalandsregionen and MISTRA.Our theoretical starting point is Silverman and Baums theory ?Picking Winners or Building Them?.

Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to give a contribution to the studies of what strategies those are of importance for challengers in consumer technological markets aiming for the market leader position. To be able to investigate this phenomenon we have chosen to study Microsoft?s second position in the video game console industry. In addition, we want to illuminate Microsoft?s competitive advantages, how Microsoft can take advantage from Sony?s setbacks and what strategies those are of importance for Microsoft in the battle of becoming the market leader.

Around 85 percent of the total population in Sweden today lives in an urban environment. This means that the nature within the urban areas has come to play an important role for the human well being. At the broader picture, the nature within urban areas is profitable in many ways. It is therefore important for the municipalities around in Sweden to work for sustainability within the urban areas. Linköping adopted an environmental policy, in year 2001, from the delegate of the municipality.

Today it is mainly small and medium sized companies that choose to outsource parts of their ITdepartment in order to increase and become great. It is becoming increasingly common forcompanies to take the help of competent suppliers so that they then can focus on their own corebusiness. These companies are taking advantage of modern methods to support systemdevelopment by outsourcing to other countries such as India. Choosing to outsource to othercountries poses new challenges for companies when they meet both cultural and organizationaldifferences. It requires a lot of time and planning and clear communication in order to developand reach the goal.

The municipalities of Sweden have a great responsibility when it comes to adapt the physical planning to a more sustainable development. The development of the society depends upon the growth of new communities and other public services, but to build new communities in a long-term sustainable manner you need good methods and guidance. This study presents four sustainability certification scheme intended to improve and adapt the planning, implementation and performance of new communities and infrastructure project to more sustainable methods based on economic, ecological and social sustainability. These systems are the latest versions of environmental classifications and similar rating schemes, but with a broader focus since they also include the social aspect of sustainability.This study aims to investigate what role sustainability certification schemes can play in local planning for sustainable development. The study compares the certification systems criteria to the tools and goals that the Swedish municipalities have been provided with, to lead efforts towards a more sustainable society.

På Scanias motormontering i Södertälje sker montering av raka- och V8-motorer för lastbil och buss samt av motorer för industriellt och marint bruk. Gruppen DEPG är en av de grupper som arbetar med att framställa verktyg till motormonteringen. Gruppen ansvarar främst för de tillfällen då nya monteringsverktyg ska anskaffas på grund av introduktion av nya eller modifierade motorkomponenter. DEPG önskar att minska behovet av att omarbeta verktyg och utöka verktygens livslängd, för att uppnå detta planerar DEPG att i framtiden skapa verktyg med högre flexibilitet än tidigare. Examensarbetets mål är att skapa en förbättrad verktygsframtagningsprocess, som stödjer och främjar framtagning av monteringsverktyg med en rätt flexibilitetsgrad.

Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att genom empiri se vilka faktorer som är av central betydelse i konsumentens köpbeslutsprocess och samtidigt pröva riktigheten hos de förpackningsteorierna vi valt som teoretisk referensram.Metod: Empirin samlades in genom en kvalitativ metod bestående av djupintervjuer med konsumenter som köper lågengagemangsprodukten spaghetti.Teoretiska perspektiv: Teorikapitlet strävar efter att ge en bild av några marknadsföringsbegrepp och förpackningen och dess olika element. Till sist presenteras två modeller som ligger till grund för undersökningen.Empirisk analys: Empiri består av tolv stycken djupintervjuer med konsumenter som köper spaghetti. Dessa har sedan tolkats och analyserats utifrån modellen om köpbeslutsprocessen, som är uppbyggd av teorierna.Slutsatser: Slutsatserna är att faktorn information är av centralbetydelse för konsumenten i sitt köpbeslut och ur den teoretiska grund som finns i uppsatsen, kan inte alla teorier ges riktighet. Av undersökningen framkom det också att graden av engagemang i köpbeslutsprocessen har ökat. Enligt konsumenterna ska en optimal förpackning vara återförslutningsbar, vara större och ha refill funktion samt ha en tydlig innehållsdeklaration på svenska.

Westermo Teleindustri tillverkar och säljer telefonmodem för industritillämpningar och ska erbjuda ett konfigureringsverktyg till dessa. Verktyget ska konfigurera Westermos modem med Hayes AT-kommandon genom ett PC program som ska vara enkelt att använda så att deras supportavdelning blir avlastad från en del konfigureringssupport. Min uppgift i detta examensarbete var att ta fram en kravspecifikation och implementera en lösning utifrån denna. Kravspecifikation togs fram genom att skicka ut förfrågningar om önskemål till dotterbolag, distributörer och andra som har nära kontakt med slutkunderna. I kravspecifikationen beskrivs vilken funktionalitet programvaran skall innehålla.

This thesis purpose is to determine an explanation of the efficiency in a labour-market related project. ?Enter? is an EU-financed project with a focus on long-term unemployed workers in the district Härlanda, Gothenburg. Starting in September 2004, Enter offers individually based coaching and job guidance to totally 110 young persons with problems entering the labour market. The goal is to provide these people courage to find either full or part time employment or to start study.

Aqeri has since the past year a new profile with name and logotype, which has createda need for an updated visual product identity. The company is a leading developer,producer and distributer of IT products suitable for extreme environments in industry,defense and vehicles. This new profile with the different segments has together with aproduct identity from two companies resulted in that they have no clear designidentity on their products. From this background the aim of this research is todetermine how a development of a design identity is done to implement it to Aqeri.The design identity can be defined as a product?s identity visualized through its formor appearance which defines what the product is.

Mapping a process enables a greater understanding of the work, and is standard to evaluate and improve a process. This thesis is conducted at Test Bed Mechanical Design at Scania in Södertälje. Test Bed Construction is a complex process, characterized by a large amount of creative work, technical challenges and coordination between different people and different organizational functions.The aim of the thesis was to identify the Test Bed Construction Process and to develop a visual model of the workflow that also served as support for the engineers in their daily work. During the mapping process, comparisons were made with previous research in lean product development to identify process improvement.A literature review on process mapping and process visualisation resulted in a method for process mapping. The study showed that research on process visualisation is neither structured nor well defined.

Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att undersöka hur pedagoger på två förskolor med olika pedagogisk inriktning ser på mötet med barn inom bild- och formskapande. Frågeställningarna behandlar hur pedagoger arbetar och vill arbeta med skapande, om och hur synen på barn och barns utveckling skiljer sig samt hur pedagoger uppfattar att barn upplever skapande. Intervjuer med sju pedagoger är gjorda på en Montessoriförskola och en Reggio Emilia-inspirerad förskola. Intervjuerna är inspelade på band och samtidigt gjordes även anteckningar. Intervjuerna är sedan transkriberade, tolkade och analyserade. I samband med intervjuerna är även fotografier tagna på förskolornas bild- och formskapande utrymmen.

In order to drive innovation and growth in a nation is it important to have innovative companies. Many of those innovative companies are smaller companies, which are in need of capital injections for expansion of its operations or to be able to produce a commercial product. In many cases the banks will not lend because they believe there is too great a risk that they will not get their money back. It is in this situation venture capital becomes interesting. Venture capitalists? see the potential the product and/or entrepreneur possesses and are therefore more willing to take the risk in investing in these companies.
