The aim of this report was to quantify the accumulation of carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4) in ice-covered lakes in winter (October-March) during three consecutive years, and to assess whether the concentrations of DIC and CH4, as well as the ratio DIC:CH4 differs between years and between lakes affected by clearcutting and untreated reference lakes. Water- and gas samples were collected from four boreal lakes (two affected by clearcutting and two untreated reference lakes) located in Västerbottens inland in spring. The lakes were found to accumulate on average 91, 55, and 84 mgCm-2d-1 during winters 2012-2013, 2013-2014, and 2014-2015, mostly originating from CO2. The concentrations of DIC (autumn and spring) were higher in the affected clear-cut lakes compared to reference lakes for all years, including the reference year (2012-2013) before clear-cutting. No such difference was found for CH4 or the ratio DIC:CH4.

AbstractThe aim of this study was to examine to what extent documentation of pain assessment with Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) on patients with pain problems was carried out. The study also explored how the documentation followed the existing guidelines of pain. The material was analyzed with descriptive statistics and a qualitative content analysis. The results shows that 43,24 % of total 37 analyzed patient records contained documentation of pain with VAS on the day of hospitalization. All studied journals contained documentation of pain.

»Does it have to be so green?« is a visual communication project focused on packaging design. I attempted to challenge the clichés of graphic design for organic products and designed a packaging concept for a fictional food brand. The project had a special objec¬tive which was to explore ways to use the package as carrier for in¬formation about the enviromental impact of the packaging itself.The process included research about packaging design and its ef¬fect on the consumer, an investigation of the Swedish market for organic foods, creating and defining a brand, and designing a cohe¬rent packaging concept for a product line which communicates the brand?s values and appeals to the intended target group.The project resulted in prototypes for a muesli package, tea car¬ton and honey jar, as well as a manual that explains the application of the graphic program..

Syftet med studien var att kartlägga föräldrarna till de barn som 2012 blev uttagna till Västervikslägret i fotboll, det första steget i svensk fotbolls nationella selektionssystem. Vi ville undersöka föräldrarnas utbildnings- och idrottskulturella kapital som grundar sig i habitusbegreppet (Bourdieu, 1984), hur föräldrarnas engagemang i sina barns idrottande ser ut, samt diskutera vilken roll föräldrarna kan ha för barnens idrottsutveckling. Många idrottare uppger att föräldrarna har haft en väldigt stor betydelse för deras idrottande (Peterson, 2011). Däremot saknas kunskapen om vad det i praktiken är föräldrarna gör och vilka de är. Studien är byggd på en surveyundersökning där kvantitativ data har samlats in genom en enkätundersökning och urvalsgruppen var föräldrar till de ungdomar som 2012 deltog på Västervikslägret i fotboll, det första steget i uttagningsprocessen till ett första ungdomslandslag.

On subsequent days, the 18th and 19th of December 2012, large groups of young people gathered to protest in the centre of Gothenburg. The gatherings mainly occurred outside two high schools: Plusgymnasiet and Framtidsgymnasiet. The reason behind the gathering has often been explained by the young people?s reaction to an Instagram account, on which offensive pictures and comments of and about young boys and girls had been published. As a reaction to the protest, police force including helicopters and mounted police, was sent to the streets.

It concerns the location and frequency of elements and it is based on theories of layout, the first page and visual communicationIn addition, the thesis develops a new kind of method for determining the location of elements on the type area. The method is based on the hexadecimal number system. It is formed as a grid which is placed on the first page to determine the location of the elements.It concludes that the frequency of elements had its peak during the 1970´s and has ever since decreased gradually. Image placement has gone from being scattered all over the front page to be centered and increase in size. .

PICAB har i samarbete med Storklintens skidanläggning påbörjat ett test avmaskinstyrning till pistmaskiner. Första steget var att mäta in tre skidbackarmed en manburen GNSS-utrustning. Punkttätheten av GNSS-punkternabestäms av terrängens ytstruktur, desto planare underlag, desto mindrepunkter krävs. Nästa steg var att tillverka en tredimensionell karta, genom attomvandla inmätt data av GNSS-punkter till en terrängmodell. Efter dettamonteras all maskinstyrningsutrustning och till sist exporteras terrängmodellentill pistmaskinerna.

Databases are an easy way of storing information kept together and accessible and can save time by finding the information easier. Cochleaimplant could be seen as a form of advanced hearing aid, this product consists of two parts, an external part that recieves sound and sends signals to the internal part through electromagnetism. The internal part is the implant itself and is surgically placed in to the cochlea. Örebro University hospital has just started working within the field of Cochleaimplants and are therefore in need of a database to store patient related information.The database problem was solved using Microsoft Access 2003 combined with the built-in support for Visual Basic, which is a sort of programming language. The result of the thesis work was a fully functioning database according to the given specification and is now being used at Örebro University hospital..

Detta arbete handlar om arbetsplaner inom minerallagen. En arbetsplan är en planering i skriftlig form som förtydligar ett undersökningsarbete gällande tid, plats, material med mera. En prospektör måste alltid ha en arbetsplan för att få utföra undersökningsarbete i syfte att påvisa mineralfyndigheter inom ett visst område. Om allt går som det ska kan mineralfyndigheten sedan komma att utvinnas i en gruva. Förförandet med arbetsplaner är ett av exploateringsprocessens många moment och dessutom relativt nytt i svensk minerallagstiftning.

Studien syfte var att beskriva fotbollstränares verbala beteende samt analysera vilka förutsättningar dessa beteenden skapar för utveckling av spelarnas exekutiva förmågor (EF) som, enligt Vestberg et al (2012) är en avgörande faktor att bli elitspelare. För att komma fram till resultatet av fotbollstränarnas verbala beteende användes kvantitativ observation med inspiration från observationsschemat Coach Analysis Intervention System (CAIS) (Cushion, Stephen, Bob & Lee, 2012). Därefter analyserades vilka förutsättningar resultatet skapar för utveckling av exekutiva funktioner hos spelarna genom kvalitativ bedömning utifrån Annerstedts (2001) teoretiska perspektiv och tidigare forskning (Jackson & Beilock, 2008; Pearson & Webb, 2006;Williams & Hodges, 2005). Resultatet visar att tränarna har högst frekvens på instruktioner, lägst frekvens på reflekterande feedback och få divergenta frågor. Analysen visar att förutsättningarna för spelarna att utveckla EF är störande. This project will search for the sound in the contemporary landscape architecture, an attempt to combine music and land­scaping. In a first stage, I have searched for outdoor environments where loudspeakers are used, and sites with a concious sound design. The project will result in a sound design created for the park Frodeparken in Uppsala, Sweden. In my search for sites and examples of conscious sound, I have talked to the people behind the projects I found - landscape architects, sound artists and architects. Influences from different areas have been essential for me in the project.

This study examines how the media reports on the Pride Festival in Stockholm and what news topics and themes it prioritizes. The purpose of this paper is to examine whether the media coverage of Pride highlights political questions related to social and societal problems. One of the main focuses of the study is on how the media covers male and female homosexuality. The newspapers examined are the tabloids Aftonbladet and Expressen and the respected dailies Dagens Nyheter and Svenska Dagbladet. The study extends over three periods: 19-07-2010 to 07-08-2010, 25-07-2011 to 14-08-2011, and 24-07-2012 to 11-08-2012.Several key theories and themes frame the study.
