A distributed hydrological rainfall-runoff model has been developed using a GIS integrated with a dynamic programming module (PCRaster). The model has been developed within the framework of the EU-project TWINBAS at IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute, and is intended for use in WATSHMAN ? a tool for watershed management developed at IVL. The model simulates runoff from a catchment based on daily mean values of temperature and precipitation. The GIS input data consist of maps with soil type, land-use, lakes, rivers and a digital elevation model.

This report is a study in voltagelevel in connection with regeneration of brake energy from the tramtype M31 in Gothenburg.In the act of braking, the tram M31 uses electrical braking where the electrical motors generates energy and if possible send it back to the overheadline, where other trams in the nearby can use this regenerated energy for its own driving force. In cases where no other energyconsumers are located in the same section, there is a resistance witch task is to convert this energy into heat. The regulation of this resistance appears to cause an increase in the voltagelevel into far too high levels.Investigations of the trams regulationequipment and its construction have been done. Further have measurements on the overheadline been performed in order to map the voltagevariations during a longer period of time.The result have been showing that the voltagelevel during regeneration often is as high as 880V-920V, more extreme values have not been observed in a large scale. The values are especially high compared to the nominal voltagelevel.

Jag vill med denna undersökning ta reda på vilka olika upplevelser elever kan ha vid arbete med praktisk matematik. Litteraturen inom området visar att omkring 50% av eleverna i skolår 7-9 tycker att matematik är roligt, och att praktisk matematik kan förändra dessa attityder positivt. I min undersökning väljer jag att observera en klass med elever i skolår 6 när de genomför praktiska moment samt att intervjua 12 stycken av dessa elever. Jag finner att de bl.a. upplever praktisk matematik som variation från att räkna i boken samt att det är roligt att klippa, klistra och måla.

This literature review summarizes available data on infection with the parasitic roundworm, Ascaridia galli, as a cause of disease in poultry, including the consequences of a conversion to alternative production systems. Ascaridia galli has a direct life cycle with resistant eggs that survive and are easily spread in the environment, especially in systems with bedding materials where the faecal contact is high. The infection is usually subclinical but depending on the infection dose, the symptoms range from weight loss and diarrhea to mortality. Factors such as the feed composition and genetic variation among different hybrids clearly affect the establishment rate of the infection. Ascaridia galli will probably become an increasing problem, with a shift from the traditional battery cages to alternative systems where the risk of re-infection is high.

In this study, the sea trout (Salmo trutta) spawning migration was studied in the river Själsöån, Gotland, to assess the main external factors determining upstream migration and seasonal changes in fish parameters. Additionally population trends were studied by examination of old data. The most important external factors for upstream migration were the air pressure, air temperature and wind direction. No significant difference was found between when males and females migrated upstream. Larger females in better condition started migration earlier than the smaller females in poorer condition.

This qualitative study aims to investigate some secondary school teacers' attitudes to and experiences of motivation in their second language classrooms. Through qualitative interviews with five teachers some different perspectives on motivation and its function in second language acquisition have come to light. First, motivation is seen as something important and some teachers tend to distinguish between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Those who do so tend to value intrinsic motivation more highly. Secondly, teachers believe they can affect students' levels of motivation.

Vi har undersökt hur fritidshemmets och fritidspedagogens yrkesroll kan se ut och dess betydelse för barnen. Arbetet tar sin utgångspunkt utifrån George H. Meads (1976) tankar kring symbolisk interaktionism dvs. människan formas av erfarenheter från sociala gemenskaper. Studien har genomförts med hjälp av en kvalitativ metod som innefattar semistrukturerade intervjuer med barn och pedagoger.Det vi har kommit fram till är att fritidspedagogens yrkesroll är mångfasetterad, vilket kan innebära en stor variation i arbetsuppgifter.

En viktig del i sjuksköterskans arbete är patient bemötandet. Patienten befinner sig i ett utsatt läge som i vissa fall är helt främmande för patienten. Ett förtroende till att omvårdnaden är säker och trygg måste kunna byggas upp. Patientens medverkan ger oftast en positiv utveckling av tillfrisknad och känns här viktig för patientens värdighet, integritet och självbestämmande.En av sjuksköterskans många uppgifter är att registrera en patients hjärtfrekvens via ett elektrokardiogram (EKG) på ordination i diagnostiskt syfte. En oro hos patienten, illabefinnande eller en nedsatt förmåga att medverka i EKG registrering kan påverka kvaliteten på ett EKG och kräver ett professionellt bemötande av sjuksköterskan.

Syftet med denna studie är att beskriva hur dokumentationsarbetet upplevs av och påverkar barnen ur ett etiskt perspektiv. Det insamlade materialet består av tre fokusgruppsintervjuer med tre barn i varje där kvalitativ livsvärldsintervju använts som metod då studien grundar sig i fenomenologin där man avser studera den unika livsvärlden. En medvetenhet om att vi aldrig helt kan förstå en annan människa är därför vår utgångspunkt. Resultatet visar en variation i barnens svar angående hur de upplever och påverkas av dokumentationen. En motstridighet kan skönjas då det framkommer att barnen vill vara med på bild för att bli bekräftade samtidigt som det innebär att de då avbryter eller anpassar sin lek.

Jag har i denna studie valt att titta på hur slöjdlärare arbetar och planerar sin undervisning i slöjd. Syftet var att se i vilken mån det finns utrymme till teoretiska avsnitt i undervisningen. Jag har fokuserat på hur slöjdlärarna låtit eleverna planera och utvärdera och reflektera över sina arbeten och försökt att se vilket utrymme teori ges i undervisningen. Jag har även försökt att se om slöjdämnet är integrerat med andra ämnen vilket i så fall skulle kunna öppna för en större variation i ämnet. Jag har gjort litteraturstudier som knyter an till ämnet och själv gjort fem kvalitativa intervjuer med utbildade slöjdlärare.
