The purpose with this study has been, based on different public and private procurement conditions, to measure if there are any significant differences in the business relations between public- and private institutional kitchens. Furthermore, to observe what important influencing factors there are to maintain and develop a relationship between a producer and customer. The result of the analysis shows that there are important factors that influences on the trust in the relationship between a producer and customer. These factors are product- and service exchange, communication, strategic purchase and social exchange. In this examination we have showed that there are differences in the relationship between public- and private customers.

Due to an increasing amount of people being put on a sick-list the issue of work health has come to receive a lot more attention. To confront the problem, different varieties of keep-fit measures have been launched in the workplace. A prime example of such a measure can be found at Centralsjukhuset Kristianstad, which this survey is investigating. The primary goal of this study is to investigate the use of the Keep-fit measures program and to identify what motivates the employees to utilize this program. Further we would like to investigate if the program, through motivation and learning, generates improvement and retention of the individuals? health.

The aim of this Masters thesis is to, from a users perspective, investigate which factors affect the library use for six persons with disabilities or visual handicaps. My method has been a case study and the methods applied are interviews and observation. As a theoretical framework I use Tom Wilsons theories and models about information behaviour and transform them to a model about library use. Answers are sought to the following questions: - What does the library use look like for six persons with disabilities or visually handicaps? - How do they experience the library in their own municipality? - Which factors affect the disabled persons library use and experience of the library? All interviewees showed a very positive attitude towards the library and the majority of them visited the library regularly or received audio books by mail.

The crucial factor for successful municipal climate work is that there are driving forces. Most importantly is that the senior officials and politicians in the municipality are dedicated to the cause considering that they have the power to influence and make a change. Besides proactive and committed individuals, it is necessary that the work is organized and anchored by clear and concrete documents and control systems. It is also important that the work is continuously monitored and evaluated. To collaborate with other municipalities, authorities or participate in various networks is another factor contributing to the improved climate work in the form of exchange of information, knowledge and experience.A major driving force for municipalities to improve themselves is the distribution of state aid and grants.

Several cities have implemented various projects to improve traffic safety in city centers.During 1970s and 1980s the city centers changed as the suburbs grew and large shopping centers were located outside the center. At the same time, several projects were initiated with construction of pedestrian streets and restriction of traffic in the center. In year 1994,shared-used areas were introduced in Sweden and these areas are often used in center environments.In Sweden, municipalities are responsible for integrating security in public places and in comprehensive plans and detailed development plans. The National Board of Housing,Building and Planning is the authority for administrating planning issues and develop general guidance about planning. Traffic is one of their key issues, although today there are no concrete guidelines from the National Board of Housing, Building and Planningfor the design of traffic safety in city centers.Traffic safety in city centers affects many people because the city center is a public place.It is therefore important that there are current guidelines available that are helpful for changes and improvements in traffic safety in the city center.The purpose of this report is to formulate guidelines for planning city centers from a traffic safety perspective.

One of the distinguishing features of successful societies is the ability to adapt to change, bothsocial but also natural changes like climate change. Climate change is a complex, dynamic,non-linear process with a great deal of uncertainty concerning the time perspective, risks andconsequences. A combination of factors like climate change, geographical vulnerability, adensely populated and highly built up coast line along with factors like deficient handling ofsurface runoff and a large usage of ground water leads to an increasingly vulnerable society. Italso puts a greater pressure on the society to have preventive measures in place.The number of actors working with preparing society to the expected impacts of climatechange and variability is increasing. However more than half of Sweden?s municipalities donot consider changing climatic conditions when planning, and many times even allow theconstruction of new living areas in known climatically vulnerable areas.

I denna uppsats har länsstyrelsens tillämpning av riksintresse för kulturmiljövård studerats utifrån ett plan- och miljöparadigmsperspektiv. Den teoretiska utgångspunkten har varit paradigmbeskrivningen i Styrning av markanvändning och miljö (2006) av Lars Emmelin & Peggy Lerman (2006: 2,12-20). Teorin har tillämpats utifrån de lokal- och centralstyrningsaspekter som deskriptivt förklarar paradigmen. Avsikten har varit att studera hur plan- och miljöparadigmets styrningsprinciper kan identifieras i detaljplaneprocesser och hur dragen påverkar processerna. Dessutom har frågan hur länsstyrelsen ser på sin handläggning utefter lokal- och centralstyrningsaspekter varit en utgångspunkt för uppsatsen. Uppsatsen har utformats efter en fallstudieprincip.

The annual cost of home care services of transport in Falun/Borlänge, is now at 31 million kronor. It is clear from previous research that it is possible to reduce these costs through a restructuring of the existing home-help service. The restructuring aims to have a higher proportion of older people, who are in need of care, to live in special accommodation, in order to reduce transport costs. Therefore there is a need for systems that allow home-help service to plan their operations in such a way that transport is working as efficiently as possible. Through better planning, there are profits to be done.

Dagens konflikter utspelar sig mestadels i helt eller delvis bebyggd miljö och vikten av en uppdaterad och väl fungerande prickskytteförmåga är därför central. Detta till trots, återfinns stora brister i den svenska prickskytteutbildningen vad avser just den urbana miljön. Denna uppsats syftar till att dels bidra med nya infallsvinklar samt ge ett användbart arbetsunderlag för Försvarsmaktens vidare utveckling i ämnet. Genom att komma på det klara med hur prickskyttar utbildas och används i Sverige idag och jämföra detta med utländska modeller och andra länders goda och sämre erfarenheter, vill jag ge förslag på hur den svenska prickskytteutbildningen skulle kunna utvecklas. För att ge uppdaterad information har jag begränsat min efterforskning genom att mina studier av andra länders prickskytteerfarenheter avser det senaste decenniets förehavanden, snarare än utvalda länders specifika tillvägagångssätt.

Ett av de vanligaste fodermedlen hos jordbrukare i Kampala är drav, en biprodukt vid ölframställning. Hög efterfrågan, dyr transport samt dålig lagringskapacitet leder till att tillgången på drav begränsas. Ett sätt att lagra drav och således förbättra tillgängligheten är genom ensilering. Denna studie genomfördes som en Minor Field Study, och var en del i ett projekt mellan SLU och Makerere University, ?feed for livestock in urban/peri-urban areas of Kampala?.

Stadens form är en viktig faktor som påverkar människans val av fysiska aktiviteter och livsstil i allra högsta grad. Idag drabbas befolkningen i västvärlden allt oftare av livshotande sjukdomar som hjärt- och kärlsjukdomar, högt blodtryck, fetma, diabets typ 2 och benskörhet. Dessa sjukdomar kan härledas till att människan har anammat en allt mera stillasittande livsstil och en avsaknad av fysisk aktivitet. Samhället har utvecklats och moderniserats genom effektiv teknikutveckling som gjort att människan inte behöver anstränga sig fysiskt i lika stor utsträckning. Städerna har vuxit och blivit funktionsuppdelade och avstånden mellan städernas målpunkter har blivit längre. Det blir ofta bilen som förblir det självklara transportmedlet mellan dessa destinationer. Värdefulla grönytor som används för rekreation och en biologisk mångfald får allt oftare ge vika åt städernas frammarch och utbredning.

The purpose of the essay Multi criteria analysis of potential conflicts concerning land use planning - natural stone mining in Lysekil municipal is to study possibilities and limitations in GIS based multi criteria analysis as a tool for land use planning. How GIS based multi criteria analysis can be implemented to localize potential conflict areas between natural stone mining and other land use activities and what advantages and disadvantages the method holds are the main issues of this study. The essay studies these questions through a case study, concerning the geographical area of Lysekil municipal in western Sweden and problematizes the interest of natural stone mining in relation to other land use interests. A literature study was carried through, concerning multi criteria analysis and planning. After collecting and processing of data the multi criteria analysis could be implemented in the ArcGIS tool Weighted Sum.

I detta examensarbete analyseras ett förortsområde respektive den gamla stadskärnan i Vilnius, Litauens huvudstad. I arbetet framgår bland annat att tätheten i Gamla stan är ungefär dubbelt så hög som i de båda modernistiska förorterna Justini?k?s och Vir?uli?k?s. Vidare ger Jane Jacobs teorier ledtrådar till vad det är som gör vissa stadsmiljöer och parker mer attraktiva än andra. Bebyggelsens öppenhet och slutenhet analyseras med en ny metod, som grundar sig i en tredimensionell beräkning av hur många procent av himlen man ser från varje given punkt i ett geografiskt område. I examensarbetet presenteras en förtätningsstrategi som kan användas i förnyelsen av storskaliga modernistiska förorter både i Vilnius och internationellt.

Arbetes syfte är att resultera i ett planförslag för Pottholmen och svara på tre frågeställningar som behandlar översvämningsrisk, tillgången till offentliga och mer privata delar och möjligheten till ökad vattenkontakt. För att få en förståelse för Pottholmen har jag använt mig av metoden realistisk stadsanalys. Jag har även använt mig av Kevin Lynch begrepp för att kartera området. Resultatet av arbetet blev ett planförslag över ett nytt område som är intressant att röra sig genom tack vare användningen av Gordon Cullens teori om serial vision och som är uppbyggt av både offentliga, halvoffentliga och halvprivata rum enligt Jan Gehls teorier..

The aim of this study is to evaluate whether the value of occupant load is over or under estimated when the Swedish general value for department stores, 0,5 person/m2, is used for dimensioning shopping centers. The data that was analyzed derives from seven shopping centers and one department store. A conservative method was used to calculate the occupant load factor. The analysis shows that two groups can be discerned: one group that is characterized by a lower occupant load factor that does not exceed 0,3 person/m2, and one group with a higher occupant load factor. Shopping centers with a higher occupant load factor are located centrally in large urban areas.
