Abstract: The aim of this study is to investigate the attitudes towards the labour movement?s strategies, goals and organisational issues in Swedish Miners? Union?s (Gruvindustriarbetareförbundet, hereafter Gruv) paper, Gruvarbetaren 1917-1925.The theoretical starting point is Engels? view on the class state. This perspective turns the question of socialism and the way to get there into an issue of working class power over the state. Another theoretical perspective is the partition of the labour movement into a trade-unionistic branch, seeing unions as financial organisations of interest, and a pro-state one, considering unions as political organisations.During the period investigated Gruvarbetaren was quite radical and advocated a firm class struggle strategy towards employers. Since these were considered unreliable, class struggle was seen as the only way to better the conditions for the working class.

Skolverket (2005) menar att den svenska skolan behöver en gemensam målsättning då det gäller arbetet med inflytande i skolan. Forskare i ämnet är eniga om elevinflytandets goda verkningar, men skiljer sig i uppfattning om vilka förutsättningar som krävs, hur omfattande arbetet med elevinflytande i skolan bör vara och hur det kan utformas. Skolämnet hem- och konsumentkunskap bygger på fyra perspektiv som skall genomsyra undervisningen. Syftet med ämnet hem- och konsumentkunskap är att skapa erfarenheter inom fyra kunskapsområden nämligen social gemenskap, mat och måltider, boende samt konsumentekonomi. Skolans styrdokument är tydliga med att elevinflytande skall vara ett inslag i skolan.

"Outstanding" or "They ought to know more about computers" : A study on computer support at university libraries.The main purpose of this study is to investigate the support computer users are given at university libraries. Further, the aim is to find out if the users thought they received the support that they needed. The study is carried out at two different university libraries. The data is obtained through interviews with the librarians, observations of the daily work at the information counters and questionnaires handled out to the users.The study indicates that variables such as knowledge, time and equipment play a central role in making the computer support successive. To a great extent the computer support is synonymous with information search, but it also deals with word processing and technical support connected with computer errors.

Detta arbete belyser hur elever som går andra året på den kommunala gymnasieskolans lärlingsförsök på Omvårdnads samt Barn och fritidsprogrammet uppfattar sitt lärande. Lärlingsutbildningen har en lång historia och var fram till år 1846 den enda möjligheten att få en utbildning inom ett hantverksyrke. Det politiska intresset för lärlingsutbildning har varit och är fortfarande mycket stort i Sverige. En ny gymnasiereform som träder i kraft 2011 kommer att permanenta lärlingsprogram. Med anledning av detta pågår sedan 2008 försök med lärlingsprogram i vissa av skolverket utvalda kommuner.

The purpose of this thesis is to shed light on how evidence-based librarian and information practice (EBLIP) is understood and practised at some Swedish hospital libraries, and also to analyze how EBLIP functions as a strategy to bridge the gap between research and practice as described by Haddow & Klobas. The theoretical framework for the study is partly based on Haddow & Klobas description of the gap between research and practice in the field of LIS and partly a description of the EBP-process which plays a key role in the use of EBLIP. Interviews have been done with four people, three librarians, all with management experience, and an academic development officer, active at three different hospital libraries where EBLIP is practiced. All informants believed that it is important to make use of research results in order to improve services and practice. In their efforts to apply the research findings the informants face a number of hindrances, which indicates a gap between research and practice.

Aim: To describe perceptions about written and verbal information regarding diet and physical activity in women with breast cancer and to study possible differences between ages and perception. Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted and consisted of 57 women with breast cancer stages I-III who started adjuvant chemotherapy within a year (2007-2008). A questionnaire, regarding their perceptions about the written and verbal information they had received about diet and physical activity, was responded to three months following treatment completion. Between 67-93 % of the participants responded to the questions. The answers was analyzed with descriptive statistics and Mann Whitney U-test.

The aim of this master?s thesis is to examine the accessibility for persons with disabilities to service, materials, and the library building in one Swedish public library, and also to see what guides the development of accessibility at this library. In order to do this we have studied guidelines and political documents to se how this library responds to them. To our case study, data have also been collected by qualitative interviews, and observation of what this library offers impaired persons at the library?s web site, in special materials, facilities, and the functionality of the library building.

Syftet med examensarbetet är att undersöka pedagogers uppfattning av lekens roll i pedagogiken samt hur leken används i undervisningen i årskurs ett. Vi har undersökt om det förekommer problem för pedagogerna när det gäller att använda sig av lek i undervisningen. Vi har också undersökt vilka problem som i så fall kan uppstå. Vi har gjort en kvalitativ studie som är byggd på intervjuer och observationer. Studien har genomförts på en skola och vi har intervjuat fyra pedagoger i årskurs ett samt rektorn.

The purpose of this bachelor?s thesis is to examine how public librarians and people engaged in sports associations think of the possibility of collaboration between their organizations regarding children and youth and furthermore how they think this collaboration and collaboration in general would or should be practiced. This is done in the light of the increasing necessity of collaboration in today?s information society as well as the view that reading and sports could make a good match. Focus is placed on the libraries? perspective and also on the respondents? perceptions and thoughts.

Integration projects at two libraries: multiculture, meetings and possibilities takes its start in the fact that Sweden is populated with people from many different nations. The libraries have a unique possibility to arrange integration projects as a supplier of culture and information. This case study focuses on two integration projects arranged by two libraries; the library of Jönköping with the project Brobyggarbiblioteken, and the library of Kortedala which was involved in the project Ordbron. My purpose is to find out how these two libraries chose to work with integration, migrants and multiculture. The aim is to examine if the library could function as a passway to the Swedish society, and to find out if the library can facilitate for migrants to maintain contact with their native country.

Försvarsmaktens omställning från ett nationellt invasionsförsvar till ett flexibelt insatsförsvar har för flygvapnets stridsflygdivisioner, likt som för många andra förband, inneburit stora förändringar i hur verksamheten genomförs. Ett tidigare relativt jämnt flöde av verksamhet och resurser har nu bytts ut mot årsvisa cykler med variationer i resurstilldelning divisionerna emellan. Syftet med detta arbete är att först undersöka hur dessa cykler påverkar piloternas uppfattning av sin arbetssituation. Därefter diskutera hur denna uppfattning påverkar flygvapnets krigföringsförmåga. En undersökning har genomförts på flygvapnets fyra stridsflygdivisioner.

The purpose of this Master thesis is to increase the knowledge about how public libraries can contribute to fulfil political programmes aimed towards integration. To achieve this we have conducted an evaluative case study about a public library in Sweden and the activities they carried out within the framework of the metropolitan policy programme Storstadssatsningen?. The questions raised consider which the political aims for integration within this programme were, which activities the library did accomplish, what the result in comparison with the politically decided aims was, and what conclusions can possibly be drawn from this? The theoretical framework consists of theories regarding evaluation, political programmes, integration and segregation, and public library-activities.

Denna studie är en personalvetenskaplig uppsats som behandlar synen på utvecklingsmöjligheter i arbetet. Syftet var att undersöka hur en grupp yngre medarbetare, som har arbetat en längre tid hos sin nuvarande arbetsgivare, ser på sina utvecklingsmöjligheter i relation till anställningstiden.Uppsatsens teoretiska referensram består av tre delar, dagens rörliga arbetsliv, utveckling i arbetet samt arbetsmotivation. Enligt flertalet forskare har dagens arbetsliv blivit mer individualistiskt, ett snabbare tempo och hårdare klimat gör att individer måste ta ett allt större ansvar över sin anställningsbarhet och karriär. Arbetsgivaren bör i sin tur erbjuda yngre medarbetare exempelvis intressanta arbetsuppgifter, omväxling och personlig utveckling för att de ska upprätthålla en hög arbetsmotivation.Som metod för studien valdes en kvalitativ undersökning. Semistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes med sex anställda på Trafikverket i åldrarna 34-39 år.

Könsroller är något som barn i tidigt ålder lär sig av föräldrar och samhället. Kulturella processer påverkar de samhällen vi lever i. Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur flickor och pojkar berättar och tänker om leken, sin egen och det andra könets samt studera om det finns kulturella skillnader mellan flickors och pojkars lek. Sexton barn, 8 flickor och 8 pojkar, i åldern fem till sex år intervjuades. Fyra flickor samt fyra pojkar kom från en svensk kultur.

Examensarbetet behandlar hur två lärare vardagsanknyter matematikundervisningen. Vi undersöker hur de får eleverna att koppla samman matematik och vardag. Dessutom jämförs hur lärarens uppfattning om hur de vardagsankyter matematikundervisningen med deras verkliga arbetssätt..
