På uppdrag av Volvo Lastvagnar har detta examensarbete genomförts under våren 2013 för att undersöka potentialer av energibesparande åtgärder i måleriet. Syftet med uppdraget var att utveckla en energimodell över måleriet i byggnad UD, där användaren kan testa olika driftparametrar för att se måleriets potentiella besparingar ur en ekonomisk och energimässig synvinkel. Energimodellen byggdes i Microsoft Excel och arbetet innefattar tydliga redogörelser över de energikrävande processerna, samt över de data som ligger till grund för modellens beräkningar. Data över 2012 års driftsituation har använts som grunddata i modellen och analyser av dessa tyder på att stora energibesparande åtgärder är möjliga.De lastbilshytter som lackeras i Line 3 är de i särklass dyraste, då Line 3 i dagsläget används väldigt ineffektivt. Av den maximala kapaciteten på 12,9 hytter per timme, använder Line 3 endast mellan 8 % och 15 %. Modelleringar visar att en reduktion av drifttiden på Line 3 från ca 95 timmar per vecka till 40 timmar per vecka skulle medföra en minskad driftkostnad på en dryg miljon kronor per år.

Det förekommer mycket forskning kring brytning hos andraspråksinlärare. Många studier använder sig av modersmålstalare som har skattat brytning hos andraspråksinlärare på en Likert-skala (Jesney, 2004). Ett mål med föreliggande studie var att bidra till en ökad insikt om och hur personer med svenska som andraspråk uppfattar utländsk brytning i svenska på samma sätt som en modersmålstalare gör och om det fanns något samband mellan förmågan att uppfatta brytning och förmågan att utrycka sig på svenska.  Djupare analyser gjordes av perception och produktion hos andraspråksinlärare. Designen på studien bestod av tre grupper och omfattade 42 deltagare som representerade 15 språk . Två av grupperna innehöll andraspråksinlärare och den tredje gruppen bestod av modersmålstalare.

There are a huge number of books and articles written in the field of usability and about the art of giving the user the opportunity to find the information he is trying to reach while browsing the website. The writers of these books are handling guidelines that are recommended to be followed, as well as describing their own views, ideas and theories of the subject. We found an interest to research the different possibilities, if any, to develop a website optimal for the user from a usability point of view. Another thing we noticed was that a need of a substantial guidance existed in website development aimed for recently started companies.New theories and rules regarding usability, which are seen as superior to the old ones and therefore replaces them, is not created that often. This is different from other IT related subjects.

This thesis examines the gender boundaries in sports. I do this by exploring three cases in which these boundaries, at least on the surface, have been questioned: the transsexual tennis player Renée Richards, the east European runners Marita Koch and Jarmila Kratochvilova and the Swedish golf player Annika Sörenstam. The results point out different mechanisms that contain the"danger"and restore"security". But they also point out a criticism against the struggle for equality in sports, which is based on the preserving of differences and therefore cannot challenge the ideological assumptions about gender in sports..

The purpose of this study is to increase an understanding of what prevents the mandatory reporting law, based on the preschool staff's approach to mandatory reporting law about child abuse and neglect to social services, and how these barriers affect their decision to report. The study will also understand what preschool staff experience facilitates the mandatory reporting process and what can be done to improve the process even more. The questions of the study were based on the purpose of the study and have been formulated in two questions:What prevents the mandatory reporting law requirements for preschool staff and how can these barriers be removed? What facilitates for preschool staff to be confident in the decision to report child abuse and neglect, to social services?The study used qualitative semi-structured interviews with five people working at the preschool, including two preschool teachers and three childcare workers. An interview guide was designed as a help to answer the questions about what the barriers are and what it is that makes it easier for the preschool staff, regarding the decision to report cases of child abuse and neglect to social services.The results, based on the five interviews , shows preschool staff's thoughts of the knowledge on the mandatory reporting law, the mandatory reporting process, their perspective of the mandatory reporting law and the uncertainty surrounding the mandatory reporting law.The study's analysis consists of the results that have been analyzed using the theory of social representations, in which the analysis shows an understanding of how the preschool staff act and think about the mandatory reporting law requirements based on their everyday knowledge.

Ett centralt tema i föreliggande uppsats är ordboksanvändning och informationsbeteende. Detta har tvärvetenskapligt undersökts utifrån en lexikografisk grund med bidragande inslag från biblioteks- och informationsvetenskap. Uppsatsens empiriska material utgörs av en kvalitativ studie i ordboksanvändning bland folk- och universitets­bibliotekarier. Resultatanalysen har givit tre dimensioner av ordboksanvändning: individuellt bruk, bruk i referenssituationer och låntagarbruk. Relaterat till två av informationsbeteendeprocessens komponenter, informations­behov och informationsuppsökning, varierar dimensionerna i intensitet och omfattning.

Background: Due to an increasing globalization the competition has increased and this has lead to overcapacity and falling prices on markets today. The subject field logistics has during the last decades been given increasingly significance and has become a way to handle the competition. Theories clearly point outthe importance that a concordance exists between logistics and superior strategy but few, if any, authors give further details about how this adjustment should be made. Purpose: The aim of this thesis is with a case study approach survey if the subject field, which describe the importance that logistical solutions correspond with the superior strategy, is known and implemented in a company. We aim to develop the subject field through our empirical findings.

I dagens globala marknad kan företag runt om i världen konkurrera om samma kunder. Detta gör att betydelsen för logistik ökar och företag ständigt strävar efter att effektivisera sina logistiska processer för att inte tappa konkurrenskraft. För företag inom råvarubranschen och specifikt gruvbranschen är det ännu viktigare att ha en så effektiv logistik som möjligt eftersom att dessa företag inte kan påverka sina priser i någon större utsträckning. För gruvföretag är en viktig del av logistiken den interna materialförsörjningen då sena leveranser kan medföra väldigt kostsamma stopp i verksamheten.I det här examensarbetet har ett gruvföretags samordning av interna materialtransporter undersökts. Syftet med examensarbetet var att undersöka hur interna materialtransporter inom ett gruvföretag kan samordnas på ett effektivt sätt.

Undersökningen tar sin utgångspunkt i huruvida den Svenska förnödenhetsförsörjningen är interoperabel gentemot NATO. Detta med bakgrund till att Försvarsmakten har genomgått en större omorganisation till ett insatsförsvar som ska kunna verka och samarbeta tillsammans med andra nationer i multinationella insatser.  Syftet med denna undersökning är att jämföra huruvida den svenska förnödenhetsförsörjningen är interoperabel med NATO.Metoden för undersökningen är en teorikonsumerande metod där en teori om interoperabilitet används. Genom teorin har fyra olika variabler tagits ut och är utgångspunkter för det empiriska material och de områden som har undersökts. Slutligen har det empiriska materialet renderat i en jämförandeanalys mellan Sverige och NATO för att kunna besvara frågeställningen.  Slutsatser som är dragna av undersökningen är att Försvarsmaktens förnödenhetskedja till viss del är interoperabel med NATO.

 This thesis aims to through certain parts of the brand equity investigate the trust of consumers for a brand that recently experienced a product-harm crisis. It also wants to investigate why this trust exist, if it does. Structured interviews were carried out at 60 respondents in Uppsala. The results show that the respondents have positive associations with ICA, they think that ICA maintains a high quality on their products and services and that 50% more often choose to do their grocery shopping at ICA. The conclusion of the study is that ICA has a strong brand equity resulting in brand trust from consumers, which is founded in the brand reliability and brand intentions of the company. .

Detta examensarbete gjordes på uppdrag av Norrbys kommundel som är en del av Borås. Syftet med arbetet var att kartlägga och analysera äldreomsorgens nyttjande av bilarna som de förfogar över samt undersöka om det finns ett behov av att effektivisera organisationen och användandet av bilarna och även hur detta skall gå till. För att genomföra detta uppdrag och få en teoretisk grund att stå på har lämplig litteratur och olika metoder för informationsinsamling studerats. Ett flertal intervjuer med handledaren samt ett möte med alla enhetschefer inom äldreomsorgen har genomförts för att få ingående information om verksamheten. Norrby kommundel som omfattar ett flertal stadsdelar i västra Borås däribland de utanförliggande delarna Byttorp, Tullen, Hestra, Ekås och Viared har sitt huvudkontor i stadsdelen Norrby som ligger i västra delen av Borås centralort.

Nynas produces bitumen at two refineries in Sweden. The bitumen is shipped to seven depots along the swedish coast line, and from the depots special trucks handle the transportation to customers. Recently Nynas has transformed its supply chain and closed down a few depots. At the moment the company is considering a further reduction of the number of depots. In connection to these discussions an analyse of the companys distributionsystem and of possible changes is required.
