AbstractConcrete foundation slabs are usually exposed to unilateral drying during the curing process. The unilateral drying causes an axial shrinkage and a concave curvature of the construction. The curvature results from the fact that the upper part of the slab is drying and shrinking faster than the lower part. This is called gradient shrinkage.A problem occurs when the slab is considered fully restrained by adjoining structural parts. The deformations caused by axial contraction due to the constant part of the shrinkage and the curvature caused by gradient shrinkage of the slab are then prevented by the fact that the slab is fully restrained.

En vanligt förekommande transaktion i affärslivet är följaktligen avtal om köp och utveckling av IT-system som ingås mellan en beställare och en leverantör.Uppsatsen har som syfte att analysera hur immaterialrättsregleringen i IT-systemleveransavtal bör utformas. För att ge en förståelse för varför klausulen bör skrivas på det sätt som anges i uppsatsen analyseras gällande rätt, praxis och tillämpliga tolkningsprinciper på området.Uppsatsen belyser de grundläggande problem som äganderättsbegreppet skapar i transaktioner som avser immateriella rättigheter samt de inbyggda motsättningar som ofta finns i avtal. Jag har kommit fram till att ett praktiskt angreppssätt bör hållas när man skriver en immaterialrättslig klausul i IT-systemleveransavtal istället för att försöka fördela äganderätten till de immateriella rättigheterna mellan parterna.

Reasons for performing this study: Colic has for a long time been seen as a serious health problem in the equine population. Even so, the knowledge of colic seems to differ a great deal among the people interacting with horses. A large number of studies have for several years looked at risk factors that cause colic, in order to provide knowledge about them. The knowledge can then be used as tools for developing prophylactic methods in order to reduce the number of horses that develop colic. Objectives The aim with this study was to investigate if people have the correct knowledge about colic in horses, which risk factors that cause colic today and describe prophylactic methods that can result in avoidance of colic in horses. Method Eleven veterinary practices were contacted in order to send out two questionnaires for a study of six weeks.

Denna studie kartlägger undersköterskors roll på en vårdavdelning på Vrinnevisjukhuset i Norrköping, Sverige. Studien analyserar hur undersköterskor fördelar sin tid mellan olika aktiviteter samt utformningen på hur en framtida utbyggnad på vårdavdelningen kan tänkas utformas. Metoder som användes var tidtagning med stoppur, kostnadsberäkningar, simuleringsmodell samt intervjuer inom relevanta yrkesområden.Studien erhåller en kartläggning över hur nuläget ser ut för undersköterskor på en vårdavdelning.

The purpose of my study is to examine how children through interaction are recognized and understood by other children and teachers at the preschool for one hour in the afternoon. This study gives voice to what young children in preschool do after snack. The overall purpose of this study is to find out what young children's experiences will be in preschool through interaction. The purpose of my research is to gain knowledge about how the time and opportunity for interaction exists between children 1;7-2;5 years, and educators as well as other children, and how this interaction appears during afternoon activities in the preschool.My research questions are:1) What experiences do children get in terms of their development of identity for one hour in the afternoon? 2) How does the interaction that the youngest children are involved in during the afternoon appear? And how long time does every occasion last? The study is based on the interactionist perspective and systems theory.

This thesis analyzes the media debates generated by the election of Omar Mustafa to the board of the social democratic party, and the appointment of the conservative Minister of Labour, Elisabeth Svantesson. More specifically, the aim is to analyze newspaper material through a discourse analyze, to see if and how religious affiliation effects the possibilities to act as a political representative. Theories of othering and intersectionality serve as theoretical points of departure. Further, chains of equivalence from Laclau and Mouffe?s discourse theory are used to study how categories as ?us? and ?the other? are constructed in the material, and how these processes of categorization relate to the intersection of religion, gender and ethnicity.

This Masters thesis concerns computer games in Swedish public libraries. We have investigated the opinions of public librarians concerning what they think about computer games, and to what extent they believe it should be a part of the public library. The method we have chosen is qualitative interviews. The theory we have used is a pedagogical literature strategy, which we have reformulated so that it fits our investigation. The results show that the interviewed public librarians think that the library should offer computer games for children and youths to use at the library, and that they should offer computer games for lending, to all the library users.

The purpose of this study was to investigate how an ADHD diagnosis late in life as an adult can have effected childhood and adult life. It is a qualitative study executed by interviewing four adults, two men and two women. The individuals in the study had all experienced difficulties in their childhood and in school and had all felt different from the rest of the ambient. None of the interviewees were on medication for ADHD but most were open for trying. Support from school or other settings had been minimal.

Även staten är beroende av ett framgångsrikt näringsliv som genererar skatteintäkter vilket är en förutsättning för fortsatt välfärd. Den internationella konkurrensen utgör således ett hot inte bara för det svenska näringslivet utan även för samhället, välfärden och staten. Inför detta hot har stat och marknad ett ömsesidigt intresse och behov av att hjälpas åt och därför har staten utarbetat strategier för att uppmärksamma företag och organisationer på vikten av kunskap och kompetensutveckling.

Its content is directed towards teachers who entirely or partly works, or want to work, in computereducation. The CD-rom contains both textmaterial and presentations, with teacherinstructions, wich are directly appliable in teaching computers. The teachingmaterial on the CD-rom is based on an empiric survey with different computerteachers.

Our digital society encompasses nowadays different channels, which includes social media where many users consider it as a platform where they can fetch news or exchange news and information. This leads to a large spread of news exchange in a very fast speed, which involves the global users within social media to be a part of this social interaction. This study is focused on how Twitter affects the usage of the user?s news consumption. By reaching out to our specific target audience, which includes Twitter users in Sweden, we made a web based survey with a content of relevant questions.

The Battle of Breitenfeld took place in 1631, during the 30-year war. It was the biggest battle the Swedish army has participated in. The essay analyses the battle from a Swedish-Saxon perspective, using the basic skills, ground tactical principles and management philosophy of decentralized command.The essay is based on a case study stemming from a qualitative text analysis, and is as such divided into three parts. The first part of the essay describes my theory, and explains what the different terms stand for. The second part narrates the battle and the participating armies.

Enligt ett regeringsbeslut från 2001 har Ltu en skyldighet att införa ett miljöledningssystem och enligt ett tillägg i högskolelagen skall samtliga universitet och högskolor främja ekologisk hållbar utveckling inom ramen för deras verksamheter. I början av 2005 antog Ltu en miljöpolicy vars mål var att fastställa en ambitionsnivå för miljöarbetet på Ltu. Regeringens ambition är att föregå med gott exempel och visa för övrigt samhälle och näringsliv att det är möjligt att bedriva verksamhet inom ramen för hållbar utveckling. När övergripande statliga visioner förvandlas till konkreta arbetssätt för en myndighet är legitimitet ett intressant begrepp att undersöka och diskutera. Syftet med denna uppsats är att redogöra för i vilken utsträckning Ltu:s miljöpolicy kan sägas vara legitim.

The purpose of this qualitative study was to examine how family members perceive family support, and to gain a deeper understanding of how the relatives' part is affected by the dementia ill person. The result has been produced by semi-structured interviews with five respondents interviewed individually. The respondents who participated in the study, care for the dementia sufferer husband / wife at home, or the husband / wife has moved to a special housing. The result includes the perception of being a relative of a person with dementia, how they experience support from various parties, if there are any differences between men and women as well as the importance of communication and attitude. Overall it was shown that relatives often felt a sense of security and that they were satisfied with the support they received from the various parties.
