This essay examines the using of consensus method for decision making within the World Council of Churches (WCC) and the process that led to the decision to adopt its usage. The main question of my essay is why the method was introduced to the WCC and what motives lay behind its introduction. Other questions are how the consensus method works; both in theory and in practice, and what the predecessors and prototypes for the method are.The consensus method belongs to a broad Christian tradition of spiritual discernment and spiritual decision making. The New Testament, in particular Acts, gives examples of decision making in the early church which show that discerning God's will was considered essential. However the most influential model for the consensus method have been the decision making process of the Religious Society of Friends or Quakers, and also the consensus model of the Uniting Church in Australia.

This study is made in order to see how music teachers pedagogic design their teaching from a semiotic design theoretical perspective. A survey was done in a study to see how the music college students experienced their music theory teaching. This was followed by an observation of two different music theory teachers teaching music theory and with subsequent interviews. One teacher taught music theory at a swedish non-compulsory School of Arts, Kulturskola, and the other music teacher taught at an independent adult education college. The study's questionnaire, observation and interview revealed patterns of teaching, probably largely due to the teaching tradition.

Based on hermeneutic tradition, the goal of this thesis is to further my understanding of what the concept of resistance means in a psychoanalytical context today, primarily within clinical practice. My methodology has been to seek an understanding of the concept of resistance by reading excerpts from the original texts of Sigmund Freud, as well as conducting interviews with practicing psychoanalysts that focus on how they relate to the notion of resistance. The idea was to then present my understanding of these sources in relation to one another. The results suggest that an understanding of the concept of resistance in a clinical context is highlighted by a dichotomy between theory and practice..

Svenska kyrkans ställning har onekligen förändrats under 1900-talet, framför allt under den senare delen av århundradet. Kyrkan går nu ett nytt århundrade till mötes genom att göra en del förändringar inom organisationen. Dessa förändringar berör riterna och traditionerna till en viss del men inte vad det gäller det innehållsmässiga utan nästan enbart den ekonomiska biten.Svenska kyrkan förlorar mark bland det svenska folket.* Vad ska man göra för att vinna tillbaka människan till kyrkan?* Kan detta genomföras om man förändrar och förnyar det kyrkliga innehållet t.ex. traditioner, riter m.m.?* Om en förändring krävs vad ska då förändras och vad ska vara kvar?* Hur når man en vettig förändring?.

Contemporary libraries face challenges in transforming their organization to meet the digitalized society. To develop the process of digitization of literature is a natural way for libraries to go when they already have more visitors online than physically. Since the demand for digital material is so sought after, we feel challenged to address the challenges of the Internet as an emerging functional medium for distributing knowledge. These developments will be able to significantly modify the nature of literature as well as the existing system of quality assurance. In this study, we explored and analyzed a digitization project at a research library.

The subject of religion in Swedish schools is the single most talked about topic in the curriculum. One explanation could be that it is the oldest subject in Swedish schools and the topic has undergone the biggest change through time. This process of change has been anything but undebated. The subject of religion within schools has met debates through almost its entire history, partly from the state and from the church, but also from the teachers and the students. Debates concerning the existence of Christianity in Swedish schools as well as the Swedish traditions constantly reoccur in today?s government debates and various media but in different versions.

Green roofs have seen a revival in the society of today. They provide many functions of which both society as a whole and the individual can take part. In particular extensive green roofs, that requires little or even zero maintenance, provides very valuable functions. Green roofs affect our environment and our economy in a positive manner as well as the physical expression of buildings. In this bachelor thesis the impact of green roofs on society has been examined throughout literature studies. The result as a compilation of contemporary research in this field is presented together with a discussion about the use of green roofs in general. The two major arguments for an extended use of green roofs are, the high stormwater retention capacity and the cost-benefits seen over time compared to a conventional roof.

?Dementia is an umbrella term for several symptoms of impaired brain function. The person's behavior is affected when mental functions such as memory, attention, concentration and language are affected and the dementia patient can have difficulties to interpret sensory input. Communication is based a lot on body language. It is therefore important for the caregiver to seek eye contact with the patient in order to simplify communication and it can be of great help to show with the whole body what they mean and be able to point out things.

Scana-Booforge is a Swedish company which specialize in heat treatment of various metal. The treatments take place in quenching ovens, where fans are used to circulate the hot air. The fans used today do not have a satisfactory lifespan. This thesis aims to develop a new design of the fans for the quenching ovens, and the goal is that the new fans will bring cost savings for Scana-Booforge.The design development process started with mapping out the environment in which the fans operate, and with analysis of the existing fan structure and damages, in order to establish the cause of failure and of short durability. The performance of the fan were also established at this stage.

CSR is a far reaching concept and practice, whose popularity and diffusion has increased rapidly in recent years. Research indicates that CSR has made an evolutionary journey from primarily being characterized by reactiveness to develop into a risk minimizing and proactive competitive advantage and should be looked upon as an answer to heightened societal pressure and awareness. Based on a review regarding different relevant theoretical perspectives, this master thesis discusses CSR as a concept and practical matter in relation to various strategically chosen representatives of a selection of professions.Moreover, the data were collected through in-depth semi structured interviews. The findings show that CSR is a contemporary and highly context dependent phenomenon whose inherent multiplicity brings a distinct aspect of uncertainty to it, in terms of both meaning and practice. And in some parts there is a reluctance to communicate CSR due to a fear of missing out of important aspects.

The purpose with this study was to systematically examine scientific studies of audiologic group rehabilitation. The definition of audiological rehabilitation was explored, different variables that influence the result and how the outcome measures should be done and its relationship with the goals of audiologic rehabilitation. The method used was a literature study. Pubmed and Cinahl were used for the search of literature. Some articles were searched from scientific studies reference lists and also advice from the supervisor.The result from the different studies shows that the effect of rehabilitation varies as there are many aspects that have an affect on the outcome measure.

The government procurement legislation ? i.e. the Swedish procurement law, the EC procurement directives and the WTO?s Government Procurement Agreement ? applies on public procurement. Such a procurement exists when the contractor meets the conditions stated in the directives that the organ is to be considered as a contracting auhtority.

Vad har föreställningar om spelmannen, tradition och nationalromantik med mitt estetiska uttryck att göra? Genom att undersöka vilka förväntningar och normer som förknippas med folkmusikgenren söker jag svaren på hur dessa påverkar mina konstnärliga uttrycksmöjligheter. En återblick i folkmusikhistorien visar hur folkmusik i olika epoker förknippats med och använts av förespråkare för olika ideologier. Ur ett samtidsperspektiv presenteras sedan hur folkmusik beskrivs idag och vilka röster i debatten som hörs mest och därmed påverkar uppfattningen om vad folkmusik är. Vidare görs en problematisering av identiteten som traditionsbärare och sedan mitt eget förhållningssätt till föreställningar om bilden av spelmannen.

Genom att spela in Lars Janssons låtar samt en av mina egna, utforskar jag pianots roll i dessa olika sorters ECM-jazz kompositioner. Jansson låtar är oftast skrivna för en triokonstellation (piano, bas och trummor). I triokonstellation är det viktigt för pianisten att upprätthålla harmonik, rytmik och tema. Kompositionerna har oftast starka teman och pianot en ledande roll. Med min egen komposition ska jag försöka efterlikna Janssons kompositioner, samt undersöka ECMjazzens karaktäristiska kännetecken.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur socionomer, utifrån den kunskap de fårmed sig från socionomutbildningen, skapar sin yrkesidentitet. Detta görs genomfokusgruppsintervjuer med yrkesverksamma socionomer som arbetar somsocialsekreterare, kuratorer eller chefer inom socialt arbete. Analysen som görs istudien är tematisk och tar sitt avstamp i en socialkonstruktionistisk tradition. Deresultat som lyfts fram i studien är att en gemensam värdegrund formas underutbildningen och sätter grunden för den yrkesidentitet som utvecklas i de olikayrkesroller som väntar efter examen. De olika rollerna har olika förutsättningaroch påverkar därför identitetsskapandet på olika sätt vilket skapar en splittringmellan de olika grupperna.
