The aim of this Master's thesis is to examine the user discourses that can be identified in the public library field. Questions posed in this study are: what discourses can be found, what characterises them, how are users categorised and what does this categorisation imply. The theoretical starting-point is Ernesto Laclaus and Chantal Mouffes discourse theory. The method is text analytic. 62 articles from three library journals - Biblioteksbladet, Bibliotek i Samhälle and Ikoner are analysed through a model in four phases.

Studien är retrospektiv fram till år 2005 och syftet är att beskriva ungdomars lokala livsvillkor i en glesbyggds kommun. Studien försöker även utkristallisera de underliggande sociala faktorerna som inverkar till kvinnors och mäns val och förutsättningar att stanna kvar på orten eller flytta. Ansatsen utgörs av tillgänglig kvantitativ sekundärdata för att skildra de strukturella förhållandena i kommunen. Befintligt enkät material ?Ung 2005? utgör studiens empiriska del där urvalsfrågor synliggör ungdomars inställning och upplevelser kring boende, framtid och livskvalité.

This essay is based on students' growing lack of interest in science at school. Both from a democratic and social perspective, this is a worrying factor for the future. Through observation, I investigated how five science teachers conduct their teaching. This is to get a better understanding of how teachers' behaviour in the classroom can affect students' interest in science. With a socio-cultural research approach, I have tried to highlight a few pieces of the puzzle that may explain students' declining interest in science.

The essence of literature ? it?s voice, it?s meaning? has always been scrutinized of interest to readers and theorists. The language in itself has the power to revolt against and undermine current and dominant hierarchies. This language can also be of a passive nature, accepting existing norms and dichotomies. This paper has the ambition to examine the language, the voice, of Clarice Lispector in her novel A Hora da Estrela (The Hour of the Star).The theoretical horizon from which I will read The Hour of the Star is that of Hélène Cixous, which can be expressed through the term écriture féminine.

The demand from Swedish companies of new potential markets to enter is increasing. One of these companies is Väderstad-verken which has the vision to grow approximately 15 percentages every year. To make this possible they must find new emerging markets to enter to be able to grow. Together with Väderstad-verken we have chosen India as a case study. Mainly because of its big agricultural sector that hasn?t yet been developed to modern standard.

According to old european tradition the ideal national state has a unified people, but in reality practically all states has one of several minorities that to a smaller or greater degree differs from the majority. One such minority that have been present in many countries and managed to avoid becoming completly assimilated are the jewish people. Their dream of a state of their own eventually lead to the founding of the state of Israel where they themselves are now in majority. The purpose of this report is to study how the jews historic experiances has affected the political parties in Israel, how they choose to meet the ?challenge? of their own minorities och whatever they treat different minorites differently.

Syftet med vår studie är att titta närmare på hur pedagogerna i förskolan arbetar för att främja barnens läs- och skrivutveckling. Genom att vända oss till förskollärare och lärare mot yngre år fick vi ta del av deras skrivna berättelser. I berättelserna beskriver de hur de arbetar med läs- och skrivaktiviteter, vad som uppmuntrar till aktiviteterna samt vad som kan upplevas som hinder. Pedagogernas berättelser visar att högläsning och rim är vanligt i arbetet. Fokus i berättelserna ligger på att läs- och skrivaktiviteterna ska ske på ett lustfyllt sätt. Pedagogerna beskriver även att de genom att synliggöra barnens namn stimulerar till den kommande läsningen och skrivningen.

Detta arbete a?r en sja?lvstudie i att utveckla improvisation pa? saxofon. Syftet a?r att utforska hur det a?r mo?jligt att uppna? en niva? av frihet i det improviserade spelet. En grundtanke som presenteras i inledningen a?r att all musik egentligen kommer ur improvisation.

Idag har varje landsting ansvar för barn och ungdomar till och med 19-års ålder att erbjuda skattefinansierad, fullständig och regelbunden tandvård samt specialisttandvård. Tandhygienisten bör kunna möta ungdomar som befinner sig i olika situationer och utifrån detta föreslå förbättringar. Syftet med ett bra samarbete mellan tandhygienist och tonåringen är att väcka intresse och motivation för förebyggande tandvård. En tidigare studie har visat att tandvårdspersonal väljer att ge kostinformation i hälften av fallen och kostrådgivning i vart femte fall. Tradition, kultur och ursprung har stor betydelse för en individs kostvanor d.v.s.

Outdoor education is a teaching method which has several advantages to traditional classroom tuition. Its ideas have a long tradition and find support in the current Swedish curriculum. The place for the tuition is a central aspect within outdoor education. This essay aims to investigate what good places for outdoor education look like as well as discussing how the characteristics of such places can be used when designing schoolyards. Previous research shows that nature has characteristics that suit outdoor education well.

Since prehistoric time man has used wood to build their environment. The material?s availabilitycombined with its good mechanical properties has often made it the material of choice. Like allmaterials exposed to natures degradative processes the properties of wood decreases over time.Rot, UV radiation and attacks by insects and pests damage wood if not protected. Since we wantwhat we build to consist, optimizing our building materials durability is of great interest.Techniques and methods for increasing the endurance of wood have been developed in severaldifferent places and for a long time.

We pay by card, Internet banking and mobile phone in addition to cash. The purpose of this paper is to follow Swedbank project "cash smart" and have it as a basis when we examine if we are heading for a cash-free society and what obstacles and opportunities there is for a cash-free society.Method:We have used a qualitative method to conduct interviews with two individuals involved in the project "cash smart" at Swedbank in Gävle.

I arbetet har jag utgått från mina erfarenheter av medieundervisning på min verksamhetsförlagda utbildning (VFU) där jag upptäckte ett ?glapp? mellan teori och praktik i elevernas arbeten. Utifrån detta upplevda ?glapp? formulerade jag följande frågeställningar: Finns det spår av läroplanens intention i elevers tal om undervisningen, särskilt medieundervisningen? Finns läroplanens intention i bilderna eleverna producerar? Bidrar medieämnets kultur, tradition och historia, till den starka uppdelningen mellan teori och praktik i undervisningen? Detta i syfte att undersöka om ?Läroplanen för de frivilliga skolformernas? (LPF94) intention om att eleven skall ha förmågan att förhålla sig kritiskt, granska fakta och bedöma det eleven ser, hör och läser, följer med när eleven talar om och framställer egna mediebilder i undervisningen. I denna studie har jag studerat läroplanens och dess intentioner, olika teoretikers syn på undervisning och kunskap samt intervjuat tre tjejer från medieprogrammet kring deras tankar om undervisningen.

An attempt were made to record the 1st movement of Beethoven?s Op. 57, with the objective of performing it as close to Beethoven?s will as possible, in the tradition of the ?historically informed performance? movement.The result of evaluating source material rendered a list of the most relevant material for this study, and hopefully that might prove useful for other studies with similar objective concering HIP and composer-intention based ?autenticity?.However, Beethoven?s will was only vaguely captured in the limited source material accounted for in this study, rendering it moderate-to-small reliability. It?s probably possible to achieve a higher degree of goal achievement, given more time and through the utilization of music psychology to further extrapolate the detailed parameters of Beethoven?s presumed extramusical will.The recording made was not to my satisfaction and has strengthened my view that the interpreter should take council from the collected knowledge of scholarly sources but must ultimately remain free in whether and how to utilize that knowledge.Lastly, I?ve measured the bpm in the resulting recording with a error margin of ±0,02 s.

During a major part of modernity the concept of identity was something that in many ways was predetermined for the individual. People in general remained in the same social spheres as the generations before, shared common religions and beliefs and where more or less bound to a geographic area. Identity and lifestyle was something that was adapted quite unreflected from habit and tradition. Though, during the cultural modernisation process that took place in the twentieth century, previous shared patterns of interpretation vanished and became individual.  Finding references, constructing an identity and establishing a self became individual.
