Safe in the cityscape? Gender aspects on spatial city planning In this thesis, theories regarding gender and spatial planning are applied to the comprehensive plan Fortuna och Hemgården in eastern Malmö. Independent of factors like class, ethnicity and age women experience lack of safety to a larger extent than men do. Today, safety aspects on housing projects is scarcely a controversial issue, quite the contrary. However seldom are the central terms such as safety and security defined. Research has shown that women feel safe when they experience little risk of being subjected to violence; security is deeply interconnected with feeling safe.

Kryssningstrafiken växer kraftigt i Skandinavien och Göteborg är inte ett un-dantag. Göteborg har det senaste decenniet gått från att vara en relativt obetydlig kryssningsdestination till att bli en av de medelstora i Östersjö- och Nordsjöområdet. Utöver denna ökning finns ett mål om att dubblera antalet anlöp till 2020. Samtidigt växer Göteborgs centrala stadsdelar och särskilt de i vattennära lägen vilket gör att konkurrensen om marken i dessa områden är stor. Vad kryssningstrafiken och egentligen all hamnverksamhet har för roll i den framtida staden är en relevant fråga som bör behandlas.

Mellankommunal samordning - - En uppsats om detaljplanering över kommungränser genom exemplifiering med stadsutvecklingsprojektet Hagastaden.

Syftet med detta kandidatarbete är att studera problem som kan uppstå vid mellankommunal samordning av detaljplanering i samband med tät stadsbebyggelse som genomskärs av en kommungräns. När kommuner tvingas samarbeta över kommungränser uppstår en problematik, eftersom båda kommunerna har planmonopol över den fysiska planeringen inom sin administrativa gräns. Genom en fallstudie av planeringen i Hagastaden undersöks en problematik där mellankommunal samordning varit ett centralt tema. Tillvägagångssättet för att införskaffa empirisk data har skett genom kvalitativ textanalys av två detaljplaner och samtalsintervjuer med sex planerare från Stockholm och Solna. Vidare undersöker denna uppsats bland annat det kommunala planmonopolets möjligheter och brister, förhållandet mellan formell och informell makt inom fysisk planering och innebörden av förhandlingsplanering vid stora stadsutvecklingsprojekt.

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to investigate students' perception of their grades in relation to the grading criteria in physical education. To investigate this used issues: how values and experience rating criteria? How do students their teachers' planning of lessons? How do students grading assessment in physical education and what they believe is important? The method used was a questionnaire with closed questions. GULLBERGSKAJ ? PARADIS? En exposé över drömmarnas kaj

The purpose of this graduate thesis is to illustrate what could be theeffects of urban renewal carried out in a too hasty manner, the pointbeing that there could be features which have (yet) not been identifiedand therefore are lost if the planning of the city is not given theadequate amount of time and resources.Through a case study located at the wharf of Gullberg (Gullbergskaj)the significance of urban fringes and areas without too strict of aplanning are highlighted. Some guidelines to successful and consideratecity development are somewhat suggested.The survey is mainly based on two types of sources: contemporaryphotography and interviews with a number of people who are allresidents or tenants at the Gullbergskaj. Biltrafikorienterade stadsdelars möte med ett hållbart resande - Hur påverkar konfigurationer av urban form vårt sätt att resa?

Efter andra världskriget blev bilen tillgänglig för den breda folkmassan och utgjorde därmed det huvudsakliga transportmedlet. För att öka bilens framkomlighet och säkerheten kring bilens framfart formulerades stadsbyggnadsprinciper till förmån för biltrafiken. Stockholms tunnelbana och dess förorter byggdes samtidigt som massbilismen tilläts dominera stadsbyggandet. Det här kandidatarbetet syftar till att undersöka Stockholms tunnelbaneförorters konfigurationer av urban form utifrån frågan om vilka trafikslag som prioriteras genom följande frågeställningar: - Vilka konfigurationer av urban form kännetecknar biltrafikorienterade- respektive kollektivtrafikorienterade stadsdelar? - Gynnar Stockholms tunnelbaneförorters konfigurationer av urban form ett visst sätt att resa? Metoden för studien är en analysmodell för urban form i förhållande till trafikprioritering som tillämpas på de fyra tunnelbaneförorterna Vällingby, Skärholmen, Akalla och Skarpnäck.

Kultur i förändring : En vidgad syn på kultursektorn och dess roll för samhället

How can you do a right measurement of culture as well as with other social sectors and with what can culture contribute when it comes to a town´s development? We found out that in Linköping the regional federation Ostsam recently (2005) started mapping the region's creative centers in order to look into the spreading of the culture in the county, and then use the uniqueness of the culture as an advantage in society- planning contexts. The reason was that both municipal - and State directions detected that the culture has a broader importance when it comes to building up society and infrastructure than earlier considered. This is called Cultural planning and is the foundation- method that Östsam used when working with their new projekt The creative sector. The outcome of the Östsam study resulted in an exciting study basis to work further on with and to examine through own demarcations and directions.This research manages the matter of the creative sector as an extension to the cultural sector.

Knutpunkten- Ett utvecklingsområde i Danderyd

Knutpunkten är ett område i sydvästra Danderyd. Enligt kommunens översiktsplan är området ett av kommunens viktigaste utvecklingsområden. Idag är Knutpunkten relativt osammanhängande och ostrukturerat och markanvändningen utgörs till största del av verksamheter. Störst är Danderyds sjukhus. Inom planområdet finns även Edsviken som är ett vackert naturområde.

Hur hushållas det med mark och vatten? en studie av tillämpningen av hushållningsbestämmelserna i 3 och 4 kap MB

The national spatial planning guidelines and the subsequent legal regulation in the Natural Resources Act and the Environmental Code has been a part of the Swedish planning system for almost 40 years. In the recent years, critics have claimed that the regulations are outdated and does not work the way it was intended. This paper examines closer why it is perceived that the regulations does not work, with a focus on how the national interests are managed in the municipal planning. Why is the national interests not applied in the municipal planning as intended? Is the error in the system or in the implementation of it? The aim of this essay is to study the gap between theory and practice by studying how the land management provisions in the Environmental Code is applied in five selected municipalities.

This thesis focuses on the mass media cover of ?Smart textiles?. The Swedish?smart? textiles are developed in Borås and are a mix of ordinary textile and new technology.  I analyse the article with a text analysis method, looking at themes and the language?s propositions in focus. Context and the actors in the articles are also important in the analysis.Many women occur as developers of the new smart technical product, a field often knowed as a typical male subject.

Ung och politiker - vadå då? En studie av tre kommunfullmäktige i Skåne, om unga politikers utanförskap

My thesis brings up the subject of power. In the 33 local authorities we have in Skåne, I have made a quantitative study, to see how many young people that are included in the power of politics, through local authorities parliament. This is the first of the two parts that I have devided my thesis into. The second part is qualitative and examines four young politicians, and their thoughts on holding a position that is so unusual to hold at their age. This is the basis for my analysis where I bring up age as a form of discrimination.

ANVÄNDNING AV PRODUTIVITETSVERKTYG FÖR ATT NÅ UPPSATTA PROJEKTMÅL : En undersökning på ett Skanska projekt

This is a result of a diploma work in construction engineering. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the nature of the productivity in a given project and how the Skanska productivity tools were used in this project.Interviews were held among workers and management to get some answers on what affected the work and its productivity. The result of the thesis showed that the productivity tools as propulsion analysis and ?goal cards?, were not used to a wide extent in this project. Furthermore there was almost no feedback for the one who made the calculation and the offer for the project, which might affect the results on projects negatively in the future.Within the project there was a lot of waiting time which affected the productivity.

Förpackningshantering i det dolda : En studie om hur den interna hanteringen kan synliggöras och förbättras.

Handling materials and packaging, which is the focus of this study, requires efficient logistics, both internally and between companies. To achieve an efficient material flow, good information systems, whose role is to collect, store, process and distribute information, are required. The assumption that packagings are handled in an efficient manner is currently not a matter of course, when many companies do not prioritize the internal management of the package.The purpose of this report was to investigate how medium-sized businesses working with distribution and handling of spare parts packaging can improve their internal management of packaging. In order to answer the purpose, we have used an abductive process and a qualitative data collection. The study had Logistic Center Ljungby (LCL) at Electrolux Laundry Systems (ELS) as a case company and two other respondents, Nibe in Markaryd and Enertech in Ljungby.
