Through a case study, I wanted to find out what advantages and disadvantages local companies consider with scrum and what they think about its future. To find out what scrum is, I read the literature and scientific articles and then wrote surveys based on my thoughts. Further, I also wanted to find out if it?s possible to use scrum in a school environment and therefore I visited a high school class who used scrum in one of their projects. The result was good but could have been better as it requires more training of scrum to understand everything.

The ability to tackle NP-hard problems has been greatly extended by the introduction of Metaheuristics (see Blum & Roli (2003)) for a summary of most Metaheuristics, general problem-independent optimisation algorithms extending the hill-climbing local search approach to escape local minima. One of these algorithms is Iterated Local Search (ILS) (Lourenco et al., 2002; Stützle, 1999a, p. 25ff), a recent easy to implement but powerful algorithm with results comparable or superior to other state-of-the-art methods for many combinatorial optimisation problems, among them the Traveling Salesman (TSP) and Quadratic Assignment Problem (QAP). ILS iteratively samples local minima by modifying the current local minimum and restartinga local search porcedure on this modified solution. This thesis will show how ILS can be implemented for MSA.

Event is something that an increasing number of Swedish cities are investing in since it contributes to higher attractiveness of cities and generate economic revenues. New arenas are built around Sweden to meet the increasing demands to host such events. Event projects are carried out in Sweden and it is important that the planning phase is carried out thoroughly to get a successful project. This thesis aims to look more closely at selected organizations and how they plan their projects and whether it is possible to follow project plans in the event projects. Karlstad has many events that recur annually, including the Swedish Rally.

This Masters thesis is concerned with the complex planning process of setting up a citizen bureau in a public library. The aim is to find out how citizen bureaux are designed and to suggest a simplified model of strategic planning. The planning process is studied from a business perspective in the library context, and this perspective is also used to study citizen bureaux and their written plans elsewhere. A combination of qualitative methods are used: observations, focus group discussions and interviews. Observations in the public library showed a great need for an environmental analysis as well as structure to the planning process.

Urban densification as a planning strategy is of interest in the planning context of today. It is also seen as a part of the sustainable development. Urban densification as a concept is commonly used in the discussion of a sustainable development. Thus, the question about urban densification is an important challenge in the current planning context. A deeper understanding of the process which urban densification has developed from is necessary, since planners then will be more able to manage this challenge.

The past years in Sweden has been infected by a discussion about immigration and immigrants, both spoken in politics and media. The aim of this essay is to study the attitude about immigrants in the third period of immigration in Sweden found in the local press. And also what image the press gave of immigrants. The study looks at Smålandsposten, which is a large local press in the Växjö area. During the period for this study was the attitude in the local press very negative. The studied articles in Smålandsposten shows a profound idea of a ?we? and ?them?.

Västerås Stad har i översiktsplan för Västerås tätort formulerat fem planeringsstrategier som ska vara styrande vid all fysisk planering. Dessa planeringsstrategier syftar till att Västerås mål om en hållbar utveckling ska uppfyllas. Stadsdelen började bebyggas i slutet på 1800-talet. Fram till 1950-talet var stadsdelen ett trivsamt och lummigt småhusområde.

This report is written in cooperation with Eskilstuna municipality public administration for urban planning. The reports purpose is to look into how other public authorities carry out public purchase of consultants and entrepreneurs in the urban planning area. The goal is to come up with suggestions of how Eskilstuna municipality public administration for urban planning can improve its purchasing process in this field in order to minimize the risk where a consultant or entrepreneur files an appeal against the decision of awarding a contract to another rival. The appeal can be filed to the county administrative court.The public administration for urban planning can do its purchases through the model of "lowest price" or "economically most favorable" for them. When using "economically most favorable", the department can value a number of soft parameters by giving them points and the offer which gets most points can be rewarded the right to sign a contract.

Arbetet inleds med en teoretisk del som behandlar begreppet attraktivitet och fysisk forms betydelse för denna. Först görs några allmänna reflektioner om attraktivitet samt en genomgång av olika aspekter av attraktivitet. Därefter görs en kunskapsöversikt med kopplingar mellan olika teorier om den fysiska miljöns betydelse för attraktiviteten samt vad denna attraktivitet består i. Avslutningsvis dras några allmänna slutsatser. Därefter tillämpas på Söder det som framkommit i den generella kunskapsöversikten.

Denna uppsats är en upptäcktsstyrd fallstudie av jämförande typ inom vilken tre kommuners vindkraftsplaner studeras. Syftet med arbetet är att studera kommunernas hantering och ställningstaganden kring vindkraftens visuella påverkan på landskapet samt ljudnivåerna. Arbetet har genomförts med hjälp av en fallstudie där de tre utvalda kommunernas hantering och ställningstaganden kring vindkraftens påverkan på landskapet samt ljudnivån har analyserats för att sedan jämföras med varandra. Analysen har genomförts med hjälp av en kvalitativ innehållsanalys. De studerade kommunerna har valts ut utifrån energiföretaget O2:s ranking av Sveriges kommuners vindkraftspotential.

Abstract A phenomenon that has been noticed more and more in media and the public space in recent years is what is called guerrilla gardening. It means the illicit cultivation of someone else?s land. This report's intention is to analyze what impact guerrilla gardening could have on today's urban space in terms of stable changes in norms and physical design. I have also focused on guerrilla gardener?s choice to carry out these actions illegally, without asking for permission, and what impact that could have on the issue of appropriating public space.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att studera och jämföra hur jämställdhet behandlas i trafikplaneringen i Västra Götaland på olika planeringsnivåer. Bakgrunden till valet av syfte är att jämställdhet är ett ämne som ofta glöms bort inom stadsplanering. Genom att medvetet planera och utveckla den bebyggda miljön finns möjlighet att påverka det dagliga livet för många människor, bland annat genom att möjliggöra för jämställdhet. Jämställdhetsarbete är ett demokratiskt arbete som stärker mänskliga värden och jämlika förhållanden, vilket visar vikten av att arbeta för att uppnå ett samhälle där män och kvinnor har lika värde. I trafikpolitiska mål är jämställdhet ett område som har lyfts upp starkt under senare tid och intresset för jämställdhet inom transportsektorn ökar. 2001 förstärktes jämställdhetsperspektivet i de transportpolitiska målen.

SammanfattninSammanfattning I många städer lägger industrier ner eller flyttar ut från stan. Detta medför att gamla hamnområden blir lediga och kan omvandlas. De blir istället nya attraktiva bostadsområden och populära platser för stadens invånare att röra sig i. Ån Nissan som flyter genom Halmstad delar staden i en västlig och östlig del. Den upplevs idag mer som en barriär än som en tillgång för staden. Kommunen har påbörjat arbetet med att ?vända? staden mot Nissan, men det finns mycket kvar att göra. I arbetet delar jag in Nissan i tre steg där jag först tittar mer övergripande på området runt Nissan från Frennarp i norr till hamnen i söder.

The thesis first objective was to develop field instructions for forest planning of native forests in Andean Patagonia, and the second objective was to test the plan on an actual property in the area. In 2014-2015 a large-scale Ebola epidemic occurred in West Africa. The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency was given the order to conduct the Swedish response. The purpose of this case study was to investigate the impact on project planning of the three factors: the nature of the crisis, political initiative and developing countries. In this case study the crisis was an epidemic, and the project was initiated by the Swedish Government and conducted in two developing countries. The results were intended to contribute to developed understanding and recommendations for future project managers in similar projects.
