This thesis of 15 hp has been implemented at Halmstad University, in collaboration with Saab Dynamics in Linköping. Saab Dynamics is a company operating in the defence industry where competition is tough. This necessitates new ways to increase efficiency in the company, which is the basis for this thesis. Saab Dynamics wants to introduce simulation driven design. Since Saab Dynamics engineers have little experience of simulation, required a user methodology with clear guidelines.

En verksamhet strävar efter att uppnå en viss effektivitet. För att det ska vara möjligt måste verksamheten styras, det vill säga planeras, samordnas och kontrolleras. Företag kan idag välja att jobba med olika styrmedel. Ett av det mest användbara styrmedlet är produktkalkylering. Full-field flash electroretinography is an electrodiagnostic method used to examine the function of retinal cells. Light stimulation of the eye elicits electrical potentials in the retina. By aid of a corneal electrode and a reference electrode close to the back of the eye, the electrical potentials can be recorded and presented as an electroretinogram (ERG). ERGs driven by mainly one type of cones can be used to examine the function of a single cone class. In human beings, studies have shown the cone class sensitive to light of short wavelengths, the S-cones, to be more vulnerable to acquired damage than the other cone classes (Daley et al., 1987; Gouras et al., 1993; Greenstein et al., 1989). Dogs have two cone classes, S-cones, and M/L-cones (most sensitive to medium to long wavelengths).

This degree project is based on identifying and allocation of costs in a packaging section at Electrolux Distriparts in Torsvik.The purpose of this thesis is to identify the costs that emerge when packaging different articles and show how the costs are allocated. The report also contains improvement suggestions about how the company can use the current computer system more efficient.The methods that have been used in order to approach the problem and the collection of information have mainly been literature study, interviews and observation.The work started with answering the questions; which expenditure cost and direct cost exist in the section, how can they be allocated, if improvement can be done and how the flow of information is supposed to happen.In order to answer the questions we used our former experience and the knowledge we achieved by reading literature, interview relevant persons in the company and observations carried out in the section.Through our studies, we came up with an Excel file, which is the groundwork for a template that can be used by the company in different occasions depending on the situation and need. It is important to remember to modify the template if the presumptions change. In the template, we have identified the different kind of costs that emerge when packaging different articles and we have also allocated the costs. In addition formulas and estimations that are necessary for the cost calculation are presented.The work consisted in making the groundwork for a template.

Byggnadsinformationsmodellering (BIM) är det informationshanteringssystem som de flesta konsultföretag och beställare strävar att implementera. Många har redan tillämpat BIM-metodiken som en del av byggprocessen. Eftersom tekniken går framåt tvingar detta också individen att utvecklas. Svårigheter uppstår när tekniken går framåt utan att den implementeras på rätt sätt av branschen. Problem finns i överföringen av information mellan olika parter.

AbstractThis study examines the technologies appropriate in developing back-and solutions for search-driven user interfaces of e-commerce sites. The study is based on existing research in search-driven user interfaces of e-commerce sites from a design point of view, but instead the focus of this study lies within a back-end perspective. This choice of focus is a result of the gap that was encountered within research and other literature when it comes to general advice in how e-commerce sites best should build back-end solutions to support search driven user interfaces. The technologies that have been examined and compared are traditional relational databse management systems (RDMS) and the newer so called No-SQL database management systems, and also traditional search engines and the newer variant s of search engines. The study concludes that in some cases it is appropriate to combine traditional and newer technologies when it comes to databases, while the comparison of search engines indicates that there are some newer search en gines that have the ability to meet more of the needs that can be identified on the back-end solutions.Primary data consists of interviews made ?face to face? with experts on the subject and questionnaires addressed to selected e-commerce companies via e-mail.

Syftet med rapporten är att sammanfatta information om dessa två områden för att sedan använda denna information på en konkret verksamhet.Logistik har blivit ett allt viktigare begrepp ute bland företagen. De kostnader som ryms inom detta område är stora, vilket också är anledningen till företagens intresse. En god materialadministration, dvs ett snidigt flöde av material, skapar fördelar för hela företaget. Producerande företag styrs till mångt och mycket av flödet genom verksamheten, det är längs detta flöde som aktiviteter uppstår.En metod som tillkommit i slutet av 80-talet och vuxit sig starkare under 90-talet är ABC-kalkylering.

During the last two decades, technology has developed rapidly. It has become a natural part of everyday life, which we today take for granted. It isn?t until the last few years that technology has quickly become a big part in the school environments. Computers, tablets and other technology is today a big part of the education and teaching.

Android is one of the leading software platforms for the new generation of smartphones. The market for applications is growing rapidly. So to be able to compete with such large competition the applications need a solid and stable development methodology. Therefore have we created an application based on a test-driven development, to investigate if the methodology was applicable on the Android platform. The conclusion is that Android?s suitability for test-driven development is dependent on the application that is being developed and if difficulties concerning the testing framework can be avoided.

Innovation has become an effective way for the companies to increase their competitiveness. By adapting to the constant changes in society e.g. the technological advances, companies can retain their competitiveness on the market.The purposeof this study is to exemplify and describe how a profit-driven company managesinnovationbyinterviewing four office managers in different work units in the same company.The resultsshows, among other things,that interactive learning can bean initiation to innovation processes and that the participating company in this study workshard to promote innovation in work units..

Dagens utveckling av mjukvara går snabbare och snabbare samtidigt som mjukvaran blir allt mer komplex. Att under dessa omständigheter kunna bibehålla en lika om inte högre kodkvalité är en utmaning. På UIQ bestämde de sig för att undersöka om ett automatiserat unit test kunde hjälpa dem. Metoderna för att komma fram till resultaten i denna rapport har varit intervjuer, en enkät, intern information och litteratur så som forskningsartiklar m.m. Denna rapport är en utredning av automatiserade test, vad man bör tänka på, vilka fördelarna är, vilka testfall som är möjliga att automatisera med mera.

Men hur gör man för att få informationen när resurserna är begränsade?Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är: att beskriva hur produktkalkylering görs i två moderna bokbinderier  beskriva och analysera användningen av kalkylinformationenAvgränsningar: Vi avgränsar oss till att undersöka två företag med ca 20 anställda och en diversifierad produktion.Metod: Vi har använt oss av en kvalitativ metod och upplysningar har huvudsakligen insamlats genom intervjuer och observationer.Slutsatser: De två företagen går olika tillväga vid upprättandet av sina förkalkyler men använder informationen på liknande sätt till planering, prissättning och uppföljning.Förslag till fortsatt forskning: Ett förslag till vidare forskning är att göra en liknande undersökning på de större företagen inom bokbinderibranschen för att titta på om större resurser läggs på kalkyleringen med mer ändamålsenlig information att använda sig av som resultat..
