Syftet med denna uppsats var att studera djurvälfärden på inkommande slakttransporter vidett slakteri i Östergötland samt att undersöka om lagstadgade krav efterföljs på dessa. Datasamlades in genom att tillsammans med Länsstyrelsen i Östergötlands län utföradjurskyddskontroller vid avlastningen på slaktanläggningen under två dagar i april 2010.Som bedömningsunderlag hade en checklista med fokus på djuren, transportmedlet ochdokumentationen utformats.Att bedöma välfärd är subjektivt, därför utgjordes flertalet av checklistans kontrollpunkterav lagstadgade krav. Dessa krav är satta till miniminivå och allt annat under deras gräns ärinte ett acceptabelt djurskydd eller djurvälfärd. För att få en bredare bild lades vissaparametrar till efter vad tidigare studier och litteratur påvisar som välfärdsproblem vidtransporter av nötkreatur. För att få med en annan synvinkel telefonintervjuades ävendjurtransportörerna kring frågor rörande djurvälfärd och svårigheter i yrket.Resultatet visade på vissa brister av varierande allvarlighetsgrad och inverkan pådjurvälfärden.

This essay aims to broaden the understanding of intolerance towards people with religious and/or cultural Islamic association or background. This thesis has intolerance and Islamophobia as central components and starts with the question: In what manner do twelve pupils talk about Islam and Muslims in their third year of the vocational program, in small towns and in the countryside? The survey took place in the south of Sweden in a rural municipality where a total of twelve students from the industrial, electricity and vehicle program in the Swedish gymnasiums participated in two separate focus group interviews. The essay will use an intersectional analysis to see where the students position themselves and Muslims in relation to each other and to society. The essay also contains a comparison of Islamophobia in the country side and in the city environment.

The Swedish Transport Administration manage nearly 4,000 railway bridges in different condition and age around the country. These bridges is in constant need of maintenance and requires continuous inspections. This thesis is designed as a damage investigation on a single-track railway bridge south of Solvarbo in Säter municipality. The railway bridge is in operation and serves over 10,000 trains a year, everything from speed trains to freight trains. The bridge is built as a beam bridge, simply supported over a road.

Building with volume element is relatively new and has started to increase more and more. The regulations that exist to regulate and determine how the transports of volume elements are to be conducted are diffuse and not very well adjusted to address the issues with transporting volume elements. Today there are a number of instances that a company has to turn to in order to get a somewhat different view, what regulations say and interpret it in order to know what applies and not applies regarding the transportation of volume elements. regulations. The purpose of this study is to investigate the forest managers view of the edu-cation at the School for Forest management at SLU and the first years of em-ployment. Surveys were sent to batches 05/08, 06/09 and 07/10 a total of 136 question-naires were sent out. 80 people answered the survey, this gives a response rate of 59 percent The former students rated according to a 9-grade scale how satisfied they were with the different courses they had attended during their years as students at the school. The courses in mathematics and statistics got the highest marks with an average of 7.3, while the entry-level course in law only got an average of 4.6. A major part of the former students had in the questionnaire enquired a leader-ship course and a business course with focus on negotiation techniques during their education. There is a wide variety of employment opportunities for the graduated students. Timber buyers and forest managers or planners are just a few positions that for-mer students now possess. The study shows that there is a big difference in the first introduction to a new work place depending on where the student got hired.

Fram tills nu har omfattningen varit delvis ganska oklar.

Stadsbyggnadsvisionen ? drawn up by the city council.Munksjökajens relations to the surrounding areas have been investigated as well as the need for public transport and possibilities for commercial, municipal and private businesses to operate in the area.The final proposal has a relatively high degree of preserved industrial buildings. New buildings vary in shape and expression in order to create an interesting and diverse environment. The proximity to the lake adds character to the neighbourhood and the water is accentuated by the integration of it in the area..

Bakgrund och problem: Transportbranschen i Europa står inför en situationdär bolags finansieringsmöjligheter kan komma att påverkas. IASB och FASBhar publicerat ett utkast till en ny redovisningsstandard inomleasingredovisning, som innebär att all leasing måste klassificeras somfinansiell. Detta får effekter i en bransch som i dag redan är ansträngd.Tidigare forskning visar att aktivering av all leasing får effekter påtransportbranschen i USA. Rapporten ämnar hitta vilka möjliga nedslag enaktivering kan få för transportbranschen i Europa.Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att utröna hur en omfattande förändring avregelverket IAS 17 kan påverka en redan ansträngd bransch i form avförsämrad finansiell ställning.Avgränsning: Avgränsning görs till transportbolag i Europa från länder sompresenterar en väsentlig andel leasing. Studien undersöker enbart bolag somleasetagare, vilket utesluter all form av leasing som leasegivare.Metod: Studien genomförs med en kvantitativ ansats där författarna utgår fråndata hämtat ur årsredovisningar via databasen datastream.

Hur företag väljer att distribueras sina tjänster eller produkter har en stor påverkan på deras transportkostnader och leveransservice. Hos Draka Kabel Sverige AB finns i nuläget ingen uttalad leveransstrategi gällande uppbokning av inrikestransporter, utan detta sker efter kundönskemål. Detta leder till många små leveranser som resulterar i högre transportkostnader och ostrukturerade arbetsrutiner. I dagsläget samarbetar Draka Kabel Sverige AB med en speditör, Höglands Logistik AB, och all inrikes vägtransport sker med speditören.

This report describes the development and implementation of a system for transmitting digital information at high speeds from a miniaturized submersible developed by the Ångström Space Technology Centre at Uppsala University. For instance, the vehicle shall transmit image data ? even stream live video - through an optical fibre to a monitor in a ground station. Hence, the system shall be used both to convert the image data to make it transmittable, and to recreate it at the receiver.The work includes a pre-study of the programming language and the technology used. A concept for the solution is presented together with main components later broken down into internal functions.

The forest industry is one of the most important industry branches in Sweden. Since the demand of high precision wood deliveries has increased, the demand on a well constructed forest road net also has increased. A good road net gives the wood-supplier competition advantages and also increases its service level towards its customers, lumber-mills and pulp-mills. In some parts of Norrbotten, the road net is still insufficient and not yet built out enough, and that is why it is important to know how to act and where to improve the road net in these areas. The purpose of this thesis was to create a work-model for long term road planning in areas with no road net or a not yet complete road net. The model has been created in an ArcGis environment, where a long chain of tools has been tied together with the program ?Model builder?.

A new system of public transportation that can simplify and shorten the trips made throughout the city, anddo that both cheap and environment-friendly. Sounds like good news. This new system, though, require anall new type of infrastructure, differing from what we are used to see in our cities. Podcar, or PRT, as thesystem is called can become a transport revolution, possibly. If that revolution does happen it is crucial that webeforehand have studied the possible effects it can cause on our city environment, from a spatial point of view.This thesis thoroughly describes the function and essence of the PRT system and presents what is availabletoday and in what forms.

This study was made for the Swedish forest company Sveaskog because the sawmills they delivered timber to had noticed a high frequency of bucking splits in their products. Coworker Jim Edström at Sveaskog also wanted to know if there was a big difference between different felling heads. The purpose with this study has been to find out the amount of bucking splits and if there is any felling head brand that did a bigger damage that the others. The study was made in two steps, where the first part was a literary review to find out results and conclusions in earlier studies. The best measuring method to check bucking splits was the known ?trissmetoden?.

Logistics is an important concept in the organizational context in which the planning of flows, services and products are treated. Logistics handles supplier management, supply of materials, production and distribution. The distribution of goods can be managed with different types of transportation depending on price and time aspects. The lowest transport cost for larger amount of goods is by maritime shipping. A common carrier used in transportation of goods is a standardized ISO- container.

The study has been done on behalf of and in cooperation with LRF Konsult. The purpose of the study was to try to find out how forest estate buyers valuated different parts of the estate at the time of the purchase and to see if it was possible to identify different trends between different kinds of purchasers. The study is delimited to Västerbotten County and all the purchases were made thru LRF Konsult. The background of the study is that the forest estate purchasers are paying more and more for the forest estates. The prices are often much higher than the net present value which means that they are paying for something more than just the timber value. The study is made with a questionnaire mailed to one hundred forest estate purchasers. Answers got returned from 48 of them.
