The purpose of this thesis is to outline an appropriate model in order for companies to successfully act and compete physically as wholesalers at the same time as acting on the virtual market by selling directly to the end consumer. The approach of this thesis is hermeneutical and abductive with elements of hypothetically deductive approach. Our research has a qualitative research strategy based on case studies and interviews as well as on secondary data. Interviews were conducted with the case company JaymJay Wear AB as well as with other companies, so called mini cases. The secondary data consists mainly of Textbooks, web sites and journals.

Syftet med detta examensarbete är att få inblick i hur verksamma lärare går tillväga i sitt val av matematikläromedel och om de anser att deras matematikläromedel lever upp till de nationella målen i matematik för årskurs 3 införda 2008. För att nå arbetets syfte genomfördes åtta kvalitativa intervjuer på fyra olika skolor i södra Sverige med lärare i årskurs 1-3.Resultatet av undersökningen visar att samtliga av de intervjuade lärarna ansåg sig ha möjlighet att påverka val och inköp av läromedel och att de alla i någon utsträckning använder sig av ett läromedel i sin matematikundervisning. Av resultatet framgår dock att alla lärarna på ett eller annat sätt kompletterade läroboken där de ansåg att denna inte var tillräcklig för att barnen ska utveckla de kunskaper de behöver för att nå de uppsatta målen. Vid valet av läromedel var det enligt lärarna de ekonomiska aspekterna och layouten i form av färg och bilder som vägde tyngst. I förhållande till de nationella målen för årskurs 3 lever läromedlet upp till dessa anser lärarna..

Baserat på den kritiska diskursanalysens (CDA) teoretiska ramverk, som det har utvecklats av Norman Fairclough, undersöker denna uppsats hur tre svenska läroböcker för vuxna andraspråksinlärare behandlar temat hälsa. Analysen görs på tre nivåer: text, diskursiv praktik och social praktik. På textnivå visar undersökningen av teman, propositioner, modalitet, talhandlingar och röster hur läroböckerna framställer hälsa som individuellt ansvar, personlig prestation och plikt. På den diskursiva praktikens nivå fokuserar uppsatsen på interdiskursiviteten och belyser hur texterna bygger på ett spektrum av olika genrer och diskurser. Slutligen framhåller analysen hur texterna är en del av en bredare samtida social praktik, enligt vilken hälsa betraktas som ett individuellt projekt, relaterat till begreppet risksamhälle, och fungerar som en brännpunkt för värden som är framträdande i västerländsk kultur..

AbstractThe purpose of this study has been to find out what attitude fifth graders have towards mathematics. This is done to get a better understanding of student?s feelings regarding about mathematics and what it is that makes mathematics fun or boring. My questions have been: What do the students think is fun, boring and difficult about mathematics? How do students think that a good mathematics teacher should be? Do the students see a difference in the mathematics teaching in easy compulsory school years?To find answers to my questions I have looked into prior research on students attitudes towards mathematics.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att granska framställningen av satslära i fem läroböcker som i dag används i grundskolans senare årskurser. Två av dessa är renodlade grammatikböcker medan tre är icke renodlade grammatikböcker.Min metod är undersökande/klassificerande, och jag jämför mitt resultat med två tidigare studier av grammatikavsnittet i läroböcker.Resultat visar att de renodlade grammatikböckerna skiljer sig från de icke renodlade genom att upprepade gånger ha en ansats i beskrivningssättet som samspelar med "normen", dvs. den språkvetenskapliga beskrivning av det svenska språket som representeras av t.ex. Svenska Akademiens grammatik (1999). De framställningar av satslära som står närmast normen är också vid en del tillfällen inkorrekta och vid flera tillfällen motsägelsefulla.

I vårt arbete har vi undersökt hur perspektivet hållbar utveckling framträder i tre historieläroböcker för gymnasiet: Alla tiders historia Maxi, Perspektiv på historien A och Epos historia ? För gymnasieskolans kurs A och B. Dessutom har vi, utifrån historiedidaktisk teori kring begreppet historiemedvetande, klarlagt i vilken utsträckning de undersökta läroböckerna kan utveckla elevers handlingsberedskap. Vår metod har varit hermeneutisk och i läromedelsanalysen har vi utgått från vår förkunskap om historien, en definition av hållbar utveckling samt teorier om historiemedvetande. Nedslagen som analyserats i böckerna har varit följande: upptäckterna, mellankrigstiden och svensk nutidshistoria. Resultatet visar att perspektivet hållbar utveckling gör sig gällande, dock i olika utsträckning beroende på nedslag och lärobok.

This master?s thesis investigates in which ways students seek out and access their Textbooks and how they use their university?s library in this process. Data is collected through interviews from six students several semesters into their studies at the University of Stockholm. For the interviews two students each were selected from the fields of law, economics and humanities. The empirical findings were analyzed using T.D Wilson?s model of information behavior (1997).

Education systems face a number of challenges regarding social justice, diversity, difference, and inclusion and membership for all students in the groups that schools create. This invokes questions of how well these challenges are met in curricula and teaching materials. Through discourse analysis of eight Swedish geographical Textbooks, this essay aims to seek out the perspectives surrounding difference within the subject of geography. It concludes that the idea of fixed homogenous cultures as meaningfull in differentiating among people dominates throughout the latter half of the 20th century and during the last decade. In addition, it concludes that the discourse surrounding diversity in Swedish geographical teaching materials mainly has a binary liberal view of plurality focused around tolerance.

The goal of this study is to gain knowledge and understanding of how a teacher can apply mathematics with assistance from practical mathematics. Students? point of view on mathematics within practical mathematic lessons will also be examined. Four teachers from preschool to third grade in primary school were interviewed. 30 students from grades one to three were also surveyed. The study shows that teachers see a major benefit when practical mathematics is used in the theoretical teachings of mathematics.

The aim of this paper is to elucidate and analyze history teacher's didactic choices in the conflict between unequal educational materials and the requirements of equality in the curriculum of Swedish secondary school. The empirical data consists of interviews with five secondary school history teachers, observations of their lessons as well as analysis of their tests. The starting point was to investigate teachers' didactic work in the role as a bridge between the non-equal historiography presented in Textbooks in history and the curriculum?s demands for equality. Three different approaches have been observed in the teachers' didactic work when considering gender perspective into their teaching: that women become extensions in a male-dominated historiography; that another part of the story is presented when a gender perspective is considered; and that the gender perspective is included in history teaching and becomes an integral part of all the content of the subject.Several of the teachers acknowledged that gender equality is less prioritized than the courses core content and related assessment criteria.

The purpose of this study has been to compare teachers' differing methods of teaching mathematics and their perspectives on the learning process in a municipal school to a Waldorf school. The study has examined which approach best promotes student engagement and learning in mathematics in the first three years of schooling. The study is based on four interviews. The informants? accounts are interpreted using theories from previous research.

The purpose of this essay is to present research-based literature and in that find basic practics that benefit the process of reading comprehension in the further reading. To get a broader perspective and a practical school related, we also held a small empirical study in the form of interviews with six active teachers. We discussed among other things, what reading means, the use of Textbooks, how the reading process is conducted and so on. The results were correlated against the reported literature and the curriculum. It revealed a gap between theory and practice.
