The aim of this Masters thesis is to investigate the notions and use of non fiction literature of children 9-11 years old. Moreover, this study tries to dissect the underlying concepts that exert influence over the target groups notions and use of non fiction literature. The method and empirical basis of this study is qualitative, with interviews of eight children within the target group. We use a theory of reading exchange to highlight the different areas of usability of non fiction for children. To emphasize how children use non fiction as representative for actual facts, or as non fiction with fictional content, we use a four-field correlation model.

The horses? natural behaviour is easier to satisfy in a loose-housing system than housed in a traditional box. Law?s and science suggest that we should house horses in loose-housing, which improve the horse possibility to perform natural behaviours, to interact socially with other horses and to have more possibility to movement. It?s more timesaving in a working population aspect and a economic gain in materials. We noticed that it?s different opinions about what people in the horse society thinks about having youngsters housed in a loose-housing system.

There?s still one problem to solve and that is the lackof web content specifically adapted for smartphones.The purpose of this paper is to identify and analyze from a user and usability perspective howto make a successful migration and design of a user interface for an existing web basedsystem so that it also fit smartphones.The paper starts with a theoretical reference material containing examples of differentapproaches for design and migration of an interface.A case study is performed and prototypes are designed with support from guidelines andrecommendations in the theory part.The conclusion stipulates that in the present situation there are no shortcuts when it comes tomigration of an existing web based system for the mobile web. The recommendation is aspecific interface for each different unit that are going to interact with the system.Research that analyzes differences between all mobile web browsers would be of greatinterest, a research that hopefully leads to guidelines for what level of mobile web standardthey should at least support.

Bakgrund. Forskning har visat att få barn, vuxna och ungdomar når rekommendationerna gällande frukt- och grönsaksintag, fysisk aktivitet, skärmtid och regelbunden måltidsordning. I Sverige finns inga rekommendationer för skärmtid men i Kanada rekommenderas skärmtiden till max två timmar per dag. Forskning har visat tendenser till att skärmtiden ökar, samt att fysisk aktivitet och frukt- och grönsaksintaget minskar med stigande ålder.Syfte. Syftet med studien var att undersöka graden av fysisk aktivitet, skärmtid, måltidsordning och intaget av frukt och grönsaker hos gymnasieelever i Umeå.Metod.

En dramatisk ökning av långtidssjukskrivning p. g. a. psykisk ohälsa, ofta stress, har skett de senaste åren. Sedan 2005 finns diagnosen utmattningssyndrom (UMS).

Denna uppsats behandlar konsekvenserna av IFRS 3. Vårt syfte har varit att belysa vilka konsekvenser IFRS 3 har medfört för företag två år efter införandet. För att få en mer varierad syn valde vi även att intervjua en auktoriserad revisor. Dessa svar har sedan sammanställts för att undersöka vilka konsekvenser det nya regelverket inneburit för bolagen i fråga. Regeländringen har bland annat som syfte att öka harmoniseringen vad gäller redovisningen från företag världen över.

Att kunna träna effektivt till ett avgörande prov är en förutsättning för ett bra resultat. Denna uppsats har ägnats åt möjligheten till självstudier inför ett TOEFL -prov med digitala hjälpmedel i form av applikationer till mobiltelefonen. I detta arbete jämförs två olika typer av studiemateri-al, där den ena (analog) representerar det som används för undervisning i TOEFL-kurser. Den andra (digital) representerar alternativet för de som vill skippa kursen och träna på egen hand via självstudier i telefonen. Med Schmitts metodanalys som verktyg har dessa applikationer under-sökts för att se hur pass väl de motsvarar de krav som finns för att klara READING-sektionen i ett prov. Inledningsvis håller den digitala självstudiemetoden en relativt bra standard.

Cuttings of Lonicera xylosteum L. were treated with willow extract to study the response in rooting capacity. The extracts were prepared by mixing chopped pieces of Salix x smithiana Willd. with water in a warring blender. The investigation comprised 2 types of salix extracts based on differences and dynamics between twigs in winter dormancy and twigs with new shoots. To explore the rooting response, three tests were made.

Studies have shown that library employees often choose not to use readers? advisory tools but to instead rely entirely on their own experience, often doing the library user a disservice. However, very few have looked at why this is so. This thesis looks at to what extent thirty individual employees in thirty Swedish public libraries use readers advisory tools when helping a patron find a good book, with the major focus on what motivates them to use these tools and why some choose not to use them. It was found that readers? advisory tools where not used with any consistency and that many things influence the library employees? use of these tools.

S. aureus bacteria may cause a variety of disease manifestations ranging from minor skin infections to life-threatening conditions such as pneumonia, meningitis, osteomyelitis, endocarditis, toxic shock syndrome (TSS) and sepsis. This microorganism belonging to the gram positive cocci may also be part of the normal flora. In Sweden, penicillinase-stable penicillins are the primary alternatives to treat S.

I got interested in this subject when I came in contact with Västtrafiks new paymentsystem myself during my visits in Gothenburg. I suspected problems with the informationmaterial regarding it and others seemed to share my opinion that the payment system wasdiffcult to understand. When I contacted Västtrafik and asked them about the paymentsystem they confirmed that some understanding diffculties had occurred. With thatconfirmation I decided to make it my project to look in to the matter.Some methods were used to identify the problems. The methods could again confirm thatthere were some problems with the payment system and that the information material wasa vital reason.

Mandometer® är ett medicinskt hjälpmedel som används för att normalisera ätbeteende hos personer med övervikt och ätstörningar. Mandometer® har utvecklats av Mando Group AB och används i behandling på Mandometer- och Mandoleankliniker i Sverige, USA och Australien. Det har nyligen skett en utveckling av Mandometer® från generation fyra till generation fem. Den nya versionen består av en tunnare våg och en mobilapplikation, istället för en våg och en bärbar dator. Det finns ingen tidigare studie kring den nya versionens användarvänlighet.

Denna studie berör hur man skapar en användbar och säker webbutik och onlineportfolio för en konstnär eller fotograf. Tanken är att sälja in deras konstverk med en app som använder Augmented Reality genom att visa hur tavlan ser ut på väggen med en smartphonekamera. Studiens fokus ligger på användbarhet och design i webbutiker för att öka kundförtroendet, interaktion med tilltalande användarupplevelse samt för att sälja in tavlorna. Efter att ha studerat användbarhet, kundcentrerad webbdesign och designteorier för framtagandet av interaktiva system, togs skisser av både webbutik och prototyp till app fram. Prototypen testades i samband med semi-strukturerade intervjuer.
