Claw health has been recorded by claw trimmers at trimming in Sweden since 1996, but data was then captured at each AI association. From 2003 data was captured by central scanning and entered directly to the national cow data base at the Swedish Dairy Association (SDA). This reporting was introduced because SDA wanted to be able to use these records to improve dairy cow claw health by breeding. It is desirable with cows that have healthy claws, because poor claw health can contribute to impaired production and fertility. The claw health report begins with some information about herd, claw trimmer, date et cetera and continues with the part where the claw health is recorded. Here the ID of each cow is filled in and on the same row the conditions for dermatitis, heel horn erosion, sole haemorrhage and sole ulcer are recorded as no lesion (blank), slight lesion (/) or severe lesion (X).

Technology based self-service (TBSS) used in supermarket self-scanning checkouts is a relatively new phenomenon in Sweden. Studies on TBSS as a self- checkout device have been formerly carried out but with focus on the customer perspective. The authors therefore saw a challenge in covering the self-scan checkout concept, from a company perspective. The purpose of this research paper is to investigate, through a management perspective, the changes brought about by implementing an innovative TBSS system in Swedish supermarkets, and its effect on the competitiveness of the company. This is done by presenting and linking the theoretical framework and empirical study in the research.

Utmärkande för en triggerpunkt är en o?m palperbar knuta i muskulatur som a?r ka?nslig fo?r kompression. Om tryck appliceras pa? triggerpunkten kan den ge utstra?lande sma?rta och ofta uppstår ett så kallat local twitch response.

I denna rapport beskrivs arbetet med att tillvarata och anpassa data från en enkätundersökning till digital hantering i GIS. Undersökningen är en besöksstudie utförd av Karlstads kommun och Skogsstyrelsen för att kartlägga människors rörelsemönster i I2-Skogen, ett gammalt militärt övningsfält som numera används som rekreationsområde. Enkäten består av ett antal frågor om exempelvis typ av aktivitet, ålder och åsikter om området, samt en karta på vilken besökaren ritat in var i området han eller hon rört sig. Utgångsmaterialet för arbetet har varit en databas innehållande enkätsvaren, samt originalkartorna med den ritade informationen. Arbetet omfattar dels att undersöka om kartinformationen kan digitaliseras automatiskt genom scanning och vektorisering i batch, och dels att normalisera och strukturera databasen med enkätsvaren.En metod för digitalisering har utarbetats och testats på ett urval av kartorna.

These individuals and groups of individuals are called stakeholders. This study in concerned with the importance of a company?s awereness of and relationship with which stakeholders surround them. The fact that more companies show awareness of responsible conduct, in particular of the environment and social aspects of management may be a way to build a strong corporate image.

Bakgrund: Populationen av äldre kommer att öka kraftigt i Sverige. Samtidigt indikerar populationsökningen att antalet sjuka äldre och behovet av vård och behandling kommer öka. Det är därför av vikt att utöka den geriatriska kompetensen i Sverige. Studier avseende sjuksköterskestudenters attityd gentemot geriatrik och äldre har utförts i Sverige men studier som studerat sjuksköterskestudenters uppfattning av geriatrisk omvårdnad är få.Syfte: Syftet var att undersöka uppfattningen av geriatrisk omvårdnad hos sjuksköterskestudenter i termin 6.Metod: Webbaserad enkätstudie med sjuksköterskestudenter i termin 6 vid Blekinge tekniska högskola våren 2015. Totalt distribuerades 64 enkäter ut vilket resulterade i en svarsfrekvens á 59 % (n =38).Resultat: En majoritet 81,6 % (n = 31) av studenterna ansåg att de erhållit god baskunskap i geriatrisk omvårdnad under grundutbildningen till sjuksköterska.

This examination work is the final work in our education to become a Bachelor of Science inMechanical Engineering by the University of Lund.The main purpose with this work has been to develop a new effective material handling system for TPPM AB in Lund since the existing system starts to become out of date. The future system that is going to be installed shall have the capacity to support all machines with unit-, semi- and finished goods during full production. The work has also included studying the possibilities to change the material flow in a positive way between the storage and the production when one is using existing buildings.During our work we have been used a simulation program called AutoMod, performing company visits, interviews and reviewed internal and external information to create a picture of what the best conclusion can be. During the work we have contacted five suppliers to receive system solutions and quotatioris. The suppliers, which have been contacted, are Swisslog, Moving, Rocia, Christensen & Hansen and ABB.

Mosquitoes are found in extremely large numbers in the lower parts of the River Dalälven. In the year 2000 the mosquito nuisance was especially high, resulting in foundation of the Biological mosquito control project. Since 2001 mosquito larvae are controlled by using a biological pesticide BTI (Bacillus thuringiensis ssp israelensis). The mosquito fauna in the area is dominated by flood water mosquitoes, a group of mosquitoes that are very aggressive and form new generations of mosquitoes during every single flooding event during the summer. To be able to efficiently control the mosquitoes it is essential to know the extension and locality of the flooding.

Post-anaesthetic myopathy (PAM) is a serious occasional complication of general anaesthesia in horses. It causes not only pain and suffering to the horse, but also suffering (trauma) to the owner with increased veterinary costs. In the worst case PAM can be fatal. The anaesthetic nurse must know which parameters have to be taken into consideration in the prevention of PAM, to be able to prevent it, and use that knowledge for the animals safety. The aim of this literature review was to investigate and make a presentation of the factors and measurements associated with PAM, with focus on how to monitor these measurements to prevent it from happening, and the advice a Veterinary nurse can give to the horse owner regarding this condition. According to literature there a few factors that greatly increase the risk of PAM, these include- hypotension, periods less than 60 mmHg significantly increases the risk.

Welding is a common method for joining of metal or plastic construction parts. This report describes several different weld methods in general terms. The report focuses on the GMAW method, specifically MAG welding.A case study has also been performed for the company Wenmec. The task received from the company was to compare the mechanical properties of joints welded with the tube electrode called Nittetsu SM-3A and joints welded with the homogenous electrode called ESAB Aristorod 12.63. Both types of weld joint were welded with the MAG method with an Argon based shielding gas with 18% CO2.

Additive manufacturing is called 3D printing in everyday language and manufactures details by building them up layer by layer in an automated machine. The purpose of this work is therefore to investigate how mature additive manufacturing methods are and how they could be used at GE.The work has been divided into three parts. The first section investigates how additive manufacturing would work in the production workshop at GE.

Traditionella metoder som med måttband eller med totalstation går både relativt långsamt och det kan vara svårt att uppnå den precision som krävs. Terrester laserskanning (TLS) är en allt vanligare metod för att skapa 3D-modeller över industrimiljöer och tekniken har utvecklats snabbt de senaste åren. Modelleringsprocessen börjar med segmentering, som är en klassificering av alla punkter i ett punktmoln.

Idag finns det många olika leverantörer av maskinstyrningssystem och de flesta tillverkare av mätinstrument har ett eget grävsystem. Den största leverantören på svenska marknaden är Scanlaser som enligt dem själva levererat 9 av 10 grävsystem som idag används. Fler leverantörer är på väg in på marknaden vilket medför att det blir större konkurrens. Topcon, Novatron och Trimble är några tillverkare som är på stark frammarsch.Tekniken som används idag är likvärdig hos de flesta leverantörer. På maskinen monteras olika sensorer och kopplas till en kontrollbox som grafiskt visar skopans läge mot ett teoretiskt höjdplan.

Målet med projektet har varit att sammanföra information från flera olika källor till en enda vy i ett PC-program. I ett stridsfordon kan det till exempel vara intressant att presentera data från IR-kamera, dagsljuskamera, stridsledningssystem och/eller kartdatabas. Idag används olika vyer för att presentera dessa informationskällor. Om personalen i stridsfordonet istället kan delges allt detta via en enda vy så ökar deras möjlighet att fatta snabba korrekta beslut i kritiska situationer. Ett annat resultat kan bli att informationsmängden i datorbilden blir så stor att den till viss del minskar behovet av att inhämta omvärldsinformation via optiska utblickar, där synen kan skadas av fientlig laser.
