In the Swedish school library discussion, the most prominent role of the school library haslong been that of cultural centre in the school, with the main goal being to encourage children'sreading. During the 90ies there were signs of a shift in focus to the role of information centre,giving active support across the whole range of the curriculum, in the independent researchingwork of the students. At the same time severe budget cuts caused great worries for the future.The interest for the school library media centres increased during this time, many differentorganizations said they wanted to fight for better school libraries. The purpose of the presentwork was to find out who they are, what they want and what their ideal school library lookslike. Fourteen organizations were studied, focus was on activities during 1995.

This is a study with a qualitative approach and a social psychological perspective. Our purpose is to describe and analyze authority officials descriptions of individuals with a social disability and their perception of how the interaction in the encounter with its implementation. We are interested in how they experience their power as authority representatives. The following issues are highlighted.? How do people in authority describe individuals with a social disability?? What is the authority officials view on the interaction in meetings with individuals with a social disability?? How do authority officials experiencing his or her position of power in relation to the meeting?Our results are based on semi-structured interviews with five persons in authority, which is active in Insurance and Employment Service in Örebro County.

The design regulations of Boverket (BKR) have long been the mandatory standard for construction design in Sweden. However from the end of the year 2010, the BKR will be replaced by the European standard Eurocode (EC). The transition to EC has been delayed and it is not until the second of May 2011 that the use of EC will be mandatory. Because EC and BKR differ from each other it is highly interesting to investigate and explain these differences.The purpose of the thesis is to compare the two standards and investigate how they give different results or not for the dimensioning of structures of steel with associated loads. The current project HVC (Pets Science Center) in Uppsala is used as a model for the design of the steel structure used in this study.

Ocean Modules Sweden AB is a small business active in the field of underwater technology. Thecompany was contacted by the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration (FMV) in order todevelop a new system that would conform to their specific requirements. Two students at theRoyal Institute of Technology (KTH) were consulted in conjunction of this project in order to aidthe development and conceptual design of the system.The primary users of the system are the divers of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal division (EOD)- a branch of the Swedish Armed Forces. The purpose of the product was to incorporate allnecessary functions required by the EOD divers into one single system. The main functions arecommunication between the surface operator and diver, video recording, still imaging, positioning,navigation and ocean floor mapping with sonar.

Språkbarriärer är en verklighet för patient- sjuksköterskerelationen vid omvårdnaden idagens hälso- och sjukvård vilket är relaterat till den ökade globaliseringen med ökadmigration. Patientsäkerhetsorganisationer såsom den svenska Socialstyrelsen, denamerikanska The Joint Commission samt WHO betonar att kommunikation mellanpatienter och vårdpersonal är ett riskområde för patientsäkerheten vilket i storomfattning orsakar vårdskador. Begreppet kommunikation är ett av kriterierna iomvårdnadsprocessen och flera omvårdnadsteoretiker lyfter fram begreppet som enviktig del i olika omvårdnadsteorier. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att belysavilka konsekvenser språkbarriärer har för sjuksköterskans omvårdnadsbedömning ochpatientens hälsa. Litteraturstudien utgick ifrån tolv vetenskapliga artiklar, elvakvalitativa samt en kvantitativ.

Bakgrund Cirka sju procent av barnen i Sverige har diagnosen Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), som ?r en neuropsykiatrisk funktionsneds?ttning som ofta f?ljs av sociala och empatiska sv?righeter. Lek utg?r en betydande del av barnets l?randeprocess. Genom lek socialiseras barn och utvecklas i samspel med andra.

Denna litteraturstudie är avsedd för sjuksköterskor som i sitt vardagliga arbete träffar personer med Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Denna patientgrupp förekommer överallt i vården. Författarna tror att det saknas tillräckligt med kunskap hos sjuksköterskan för att kunna möta och ge dessa personer en så bra vård som möjligt. Syftet med studien är att undersöka evidensen av sambandet mellan personer med ADHD och riskerna att utveckla ett framtida missbruk för att öka sjuksköterskans kunskap. Forskningen är oense om huruvida det föreligger en ökad risk för missbruk vid ADHD, dock kan det ses att om personen samtidigt har en uppförandestörning så ökar risken.

Background: In the schools today it is common that teachers talk about children with special needs and children with ?Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder? ? ADHD. You can often hear people discuss about children with ADHD from the teachers point of view, that pupils are hard to handle and that they do not know how to create a good relationship with them. But you seldom hear anyone talk about school from the children?s perspective, how they feel, think and experience their school attendance. Purpose: The purpose of this qualitative study was to examine how a functional disability like ADHD can effect a childs schooling and also to show how pupils with ADHD themselves experience their school attendance and how they are being treated by teachers and other pupils.Method: In order to investigate this, five interviews was carried out with students in the the ages of 16-25.

Abstract Children with neuropsychiatric disorders often require special arrangements from the society. These measures could target the child itself, its parents, or other parts of the social network surrounding the child. Parents of children with neuropsychiatric disorders are often deeply engaged both in their child and in these measures.Three parents of children with neuropsychiatric disorders, and four counselors in different habilitation centers, were interviewed. The purpose of this qualitative interview study was to describe the methods with which the counselors worked to support parents of children with neuropsychiatric disorders, and to understand how the parents experienced this support offered by the counselors.The qualitative interviews with counselors and parents followed a thematic interview guide. A structured interview form was used.

This Master?s thesis provides insights into adult women?s fictional reading within the conceptual phrase ?a good book?. Eight qualitative and semi-structured interviews were performed in order to examine the nature of response and perceived benefits. The collected data were analyzed by Louise M. Rosenblatt?s reception-oriented transactional theory of reading and the cognitive psychology-based model of reading developed within the joint Nordic project SKRIN.

BakgrundOrganisationer är konkurrensutsatta och behöver därmed anpassa mål, strategi och organisationsstruktur till en omvärld i förändring. Om organisationen tror på sin strategi måste de utveckla en ekonomistyrning som påverkar de anställda att tänka och agera i den riktning som strategin utstakar. En förutsättning för att kunna utforma strategisk ekonomistyrning är att strukturera informationssflödet vilket kan göras möjligt av ett affärssystem.Ett affärssystems viktigaste egenskaper på organisationen i övrigt är dess förmåga att knyta samman och integrera organisationens enheter i samma informationssystem. This article seeks to re-imagine the Alandish hembygdsrätt to a regional citizenship. Hembygdsrätt is a judicial tool that regulates acquisition of property and voting rights. Its a central part of the autonomy as it constitutes a social-border between Finns and Alanders.However as Åland and Finland became members of the European Union questions arouse concerning the legitimacy of the current statues. The community argued that it could be considered as a breach of the anti-discrimination principle. Therefore Alandish autonomy was recognized as an exception in the joint-accession treaty of Finland and Åland.

In this essay, I have interviewed six young women about their views on body image and how their views are affected by their surroundings, massmedia and social media. Also the relationship between body image and eating disorders is relevant in this context and has a part in the study. The purpose of this study is to build an understanding of how young women relate to the body ideal that exists around them. Theoretical auxiliary tools used are George Herbert Mead's theory of the generalized other, Erving Goffman's theory of dramaturgical perspective and impression management, and Du Bois's theory of double consciousness. I have also used two scientific articles to get a deeper understanding of the subject.

Studiens syfte har varit att få en fördjupad förståelse för partnerkonflikter vid ojämn ägarfördelning i internationella joint ventures (IJVs). Syftet adresseras med två forskningsfrågor; (1) När IJVs har ojämn ägarfördelning, vilka partnerkonflikter riskerar att uppstå? (2) När IJVs har ojämn ägarfördelning, vad är särskilt relevant att beakta för minoritetsägare för att undvika partnerkonflikter? För att bemöta syftet och besvara forskningsfrågorna har studien haft en explorativ karaktär med en induktiv forskningsansats, där en fallstudie har undersökts kvalitativt. Primärdata bestod av tolv semistrukturerade intervjuer och sekundärdata bestod av mejlkonversationer samt formella dokument, såsom avtal och statuter.Resultatet från studien visar att partnerkonflikter riskerar att uppstå i avtals olika dimensioner; termspecificitet, anpassningsbarhet och ansvarsförbindelser. Det visar även att partnerkonflikterna i avtalet påverkas av personer i IJV:et samt omgivningen som avtalen ska fungera i.
