ABSTRACTThe purpose of this essay is first to get a general idea about a group of working teachers thoughts of mathematics and the teaching in mathematics. I also would like to find out what they think affect pupils relationship to the subject. The surveys main purpose is to compare teachers in grade 4-6 and teachers in grade 7-9 view of what you as a teacher can do to further the learning in mathematics. I have done eight interviews. Four of them are with teachers in grade 4-6 and the other four interviews are with teachers in grade 7-9.Concerning the result of my examination it is difficult to come to a general conclusion.

Föreliggande studie har som syfte att ta reda på varför en del av de muslimska flickor på grundskolans senare år bär slöja samt ta reda varför den andra delen av de muslimska flickor inte bär slöja. Studien tar vidare upp vilka attityder dessa flickor stött på i sin vardag. Studiens metod är av kvalitativ metod i form av intervjuer där jag har intervjuat tre muslimska flickor som bär slöja samt tre muslimska flickor som inte bär slöja. Intervjuerna har sedan transkriberats och med hjälp av transkriberingen har ett resultat kunnat genomföras. Elevernas medverkan har godkänts av vårdnadshavaren.

The following essay or thesis is a study over scientific endeavors in the fringe. It is a study of Riksorganisationen UFO-Sverige, whose proponents aim to make the UFO phenomenon (or phenomena) a subject of scientific scrutiny. To achieve this, the ufologists first have to redefine common concepts of ufology as pseudo science or religion, mainly by challenging definitions given by scientific sceptics on the one hand, and proponents of conspiracy theories or the new age environment on the other. Thus UFO-Sverige seeks to construct an alternative scientific identity in contrast to adversaries on both sides, each unwilling to give the UFO phenomenon any further examination. Following the work of Tomas Gieryn's sociological grip on questions of epistemology, especially concerning the social boundaries of science from other cultural categories through what has been labelled as epistemic boundary work, during which proponents of a particular field aim to achieve epistemic authority and thus the legitimate right to define what is and what is not science, I seek to analyze how questions of science and legitimacy are actualized in an intellectual environment or culture not broadly accepted as scientific.

This bachelor thesis is based on interviews with staff from three Egyptian NGOs in Cairo during the spring of 2013. The study examines how three Egyptian NGOs discuss the woman?s situation within the Islamic legal discourse in the contemporary Egypt. The empiric material was analysed through a theoretical framework of gender in Islam, and a discussion of the concept of human rights laws in a local context.The respondents emphasize the societies gender stereotypes as obstacles in the discussion regarding women?s rights.

No matter what subject or which grade you are active in, the teachers in Sweden have incommon that they are provided with governing documents that states the guidelines and goalsregarding each subject. Along with these governing documents every teacher has to findmaterial that will be used as the foundation of the teaching. This thesis is a study of howSwedish history teachers define what material they are going to use in their teaching, andwhich the factors are that is affecting these choices. The question whether a child?s ethnicaland cultural background is a factor that affects this choice of material is concerned, as well aswhat is current in Sweden and the world.

Information and communication technology (ICT) is an important part of society. Learning occurs in all contexts and many students already use various digital media in their leisure time. This article, based on a case study in a One-to-One school. It describes how teachers perceive that their teaching is influenced when their pupils get a laptop. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the focus on one-to-one influence teachers' work in the classroom.

In the school subject of the natural sciences it is imperative that the students are given opportunities to ?talk science?, since the dialogues that occur in the classroom have a significant importance for the students? abilities to engage in meaning-making in their learning process. Hence, the student and teacher interaction in the classroom and the feedback given there play a significant role in the students? learning process. The aim of this study is to contribute to the development of formative assessment tools that can mediate the students? meaning-making in natural sciences subjects in upper-secondary school.

Teaching materials are a constant matter of discussion as they represent the school curriculum and what the students are reading in the classroom. Within religious studies in upper secondary school, a new approach emerged since the new curriculum from 2011, which is to interpret religion in relation to gender. This study aimed to see which gender performances two selected teaching materials represented, in both their texts and images. This study was performed using both discourse analysis for the texts and content analysis of the images. The study showed that traditional gender performances appear both in the chapters that touched human identity and also ethics and morals, and also in the chapters that touched the world religions.

The purpose of this essay is to analyze theories about positioning that will create an image of the positioning process, which we later on shall benchmark with other companies way to position their brand. Integration is a phenomena that occurs in all societies that experience any form of immigration. This process is dependent on how we analyze, both the groups of immigrants, and how we analyze the society in which they becoming integrated.Intersectionality is one method of analyzing this framework. By applying the categories: gender, class and race on the integration process, we get a more complex picture of the subject. Therefore we also become more able to adjust the actions and arrangement around the different questions of inte-gration.In this essay I try to explain what the intersectionality is, how it is used and how it can apply in integration as a specific subject. I also apply the intersectionality model on different policy documents from Malmö, Vellinge and Landskrona to find out if they show any awareness of this model both explicitly and implicitly..

Syftet med vår uppsats är tvåfaldigt. Vi har undersökt hur representanter, det vill säga lärare, rektor och elever, inom en konfessionell kristen friskola beskriver skolans religiösa och värdemässiga profil. Mot bakgrund av den givna beskrivningen har vi i ett jämförande perspektiv undersökt undervisningen i religion och etik inom den konfessionella friskolan och en kommunal skola. Uppsatsen har en kvalitativ ansats med intervju som metod. Resultatet av vår undersökning visar att den konfessionella skolan ger kristendomen mer utrymme, så till vida att denna får fungera som jämförelseobjekt vid undervisningen av övriga religioner.

Globalt sett har den rapporterade förekomsten av typ 2-diabetes ökat från 150 miljoner drabbade människor 1980 till nästan 350 miljoner idag. Typ 2-diabetes är ett växande globalt hälsoproblem vars förekomst associeras med ökningen av fetma över hela världen och att människor idag lever ett mer inaktivt liv. Syftet med denna litteraturöversikt är att ur ett mångkulturellt perspektiv beskriva patientens upplevelse av att leva med diabetes och att få vård samt beskriva sjuksköterskans kompetens. Litteraturöversikten är baserad på elva vetenskapliga artiklar varav sju kvalitativa och fyra kvantitativa. Resultatet visade att språkbarriärer upplevs som ett hinder för personcentrerad vård av både sjukvårdspersonal och patienter.
