The purpose of this essay is to illustrate how the position of power / exercise of power are perceived in today's schools from the teacher's perspective. I have examined how Students' freedom and democracy education interpreted in real life, and how this affects both teacher and Student learning approaches. I would also highlight the need to set standards for children's psychological development related to the consequences will be. I have chosen to perform a qualitative research through individual interviews with five participating teachers from different experiences in different type of school. I have used the hermeneutic method of analysis to analyze the material.

SummaryThe numbers of Students in higher education with foreign background are still lower than expected. The universities around the country are increasingly committed to attract Students among this group. Many of investments and researches have been done to explore new approaches. According to the Swedish curriculum the education should establish respect for human rights and democratic values (Skolverket, 2011, s.7). The purpose of this study is to investigate how five first grade teachers understand the democracy education and how they practice it in reality. I have, based on the purpose of this study issued following questions:What is the teachers interpretation of the democracy education? How does the teachers work with democracy in practice?What difficulties does the teachers see with the democracy education?This study is made through a qualitative method based on interviews with five teachers. The results show that the teachers at both schools, despite the different definitions of the concept of democracy, yet interprets democracy education relatively equal.

The main purpose of this study is to analyze texts written by pupils during the national test in the subject Swedish for grade 9 in order to identify and illustrate how they have met the instructions for the writing task including genre. The texts have been analyzed using Palmér & Östlund-Stjärnegårdh?s (2005) model for Student text analysis. This model has been supplemented by studying word and sentence length, as well as indexes for level of readability (LIX) and word variation (OVIX) in order to illustrate possible differences in a gender perspective. The results of this study are in line with previous research, as the girls? texts are longer and more descriptive, while the boys? texts are shorter and show a wider range of word variation.

This Master?s thesis investigates user education at high school libraries. The aim of this study is to examine user education and the educational approach that librarian?s experience in their teaching. The method used for the study is qualitative interviews with seven high school librarians.

The purpose of this dissertation is to examine how teachers in the municipal Music schools Schools of arts (kulturskolor) estimate the quality of their teaching rooms, which factors that are significant for their opinion, and if they have experienced any tendencies of improvement in the quality of their teaching rooms. The examination is built on a questionnaire, which was sent to a number of music- and ?culture schools? in Sweden. From the answers you can read that the majority (66%) of the teachers are satisfied with their teaching rooms, even if a relatively large part (33%) seems to be unsatisfied. The single factor that are of most importance for their opinion are how much of their teaching they spend in rooms that doesn?t belong to the music- or ?culture school? and also are used for other kinds of education.

I dagens informationssamhälle råder ett samhälleligt krav på att samtliga individer förstår och kan uttrycka sig i skrift. Detta krav leder till att funktionshindret dyslexi och dess problematik blir allt mer tydligt. Trots detta väljer allt fler med en dyslexidiagnos att studera vidare på universitetsnivå. Detta examens arbete har till syfte att undersöka hur Studenter med dyslexidiagnos upplever sin dyslexi idag samt vilken påverkan dyslexin har på framtiden, inför kommande yrkesliv, samt hur dessa personer ser på framtiden i sin helhet. En kvalitativ metod användes där 11 Studenter med dyslexidiagnos deltog i semi-strukturerade intervjuer.

Media often discusses school, teachers and Students. These discussions are often based on an adult perspective and Students' views on the subject are not enhanced. Therefore, this paper intends to examine Students' views on what they think makes a good teacher. Previous research shows that a good teacher can create the conditions for good learning based on the needs of Students, and this is therefore important to investigate. The theoretical basis for this essay is the definition of an authentic teacher that which in this essay will be discussed from the point of view of Fibaek Laursen (2004).

Jag har undersökt om och hur hållbar utveckling finns med i pedagogers tankar och val på förskolan. Dessutom har jag studerat vilket inflytande pedagoger och barn har i verksamheten när det gäller hållbar utveckling. Jag har tillsammans med en annan Student gjort besök på 10 olika förskolor och där intervjuat en pedagog på varje ställe. Vi har använt oss av en kvalitativ intervjumetod för att vi ville nå djupare svar på våra frågor. Även om hållbar utveckling inte finns med som begrepp i läroplanen anser ändå många pedagoger att det ändå är ett mål de arbetar mot.

Det är vedertaget att rovdjur påverkar bytesdjurs val av område och beteende. Syftet med det här arbetet var att undersöka om rovdjurs användning av habitat har någon påverkan på svenska älgars födobeteende. I denna studie undersöks brunbjörnens påverkan på älg och datainsamlingen utfördes i björnrika områden i Dalarna och Gävleborgs län. De data som samlades in var data som rör bete (andel och höjd över marken) och habitatets egenskaper (sikt), därefter undersöktes om det förekom skillnader i andelen betat beroende på habitatanvändning av predator och habitatets egenskaper. Resultatet visade på tydliga skillnader i älgens betesmönster beroende på om det var hög eller låg predatoranvändning av habitat. Student tvåsidiga T-test och regressionsanalys användes för att ta reda på hur tillförlitliga resultaten var. Resultatet visade att det är en signifikant skillnad i älgens betesmönster (beteshöjd) beroende på i vilken utsträckning björnar använder habitatet. Älgens bete påverkades också av sikt från betesplatsen, vilket i sin tur var beroende av predatoranvändning inom habitatet, men den skillnaden var inte signifikant..

ABSTRACTThe aim of the study was to survey attitudes towards animals among veterinary Students, and to assess how the Swedish veterinary education affected Students' perspectives on animals. Students in the first and second years of the study programme were asked to answer the question "What is an animal?" as they saw fit, and the answers were analysed using a qualitative-to-quantitave analysis method called the Elementary Model, which had been developed for the purpose. Results showed a significant decrease in "zoo-perspectives", i.e. views and descriptions of animals as beings with cognitive and motor functions, and a significant increase in "homo-perspectives", i.e.

 Idag har nästan varje Student en Facebook-profil och majoriteten av Studenterna använder sig av Facebook dagligen. Då Studenter lägger upp allt mer och mer privat innehåll på sociala medier har det blivit en källa med information för företag att använda sig av i rekryteringssammanhang.Det uppsatsen menar att besvara är hur Studenter på KTH ställer sig till social rekrytering via Facebook och hur de anpassar sig. Vi genomförde en kvantitativ studie för att undersöka hur  Studenters medvetenhet kring- samt inställning till social rekrytering ser ut, och sedan genomförde en kvalitativ studie för att undersöka varför inställningen ser ut som den gör. Vi ville även undersöka om social rekrytering anses vara ett accepterat rekryteringsverktyg.Resultaten visar att majoriteten av vår målgrupp är medvetna om att social rekrytering används samt att de tycker det är ett acceptabelt rekryteringsverktyg. Vi har funnit att majoriteten av Studenterna väljer att ha stängda profiler, då de inte vill att obehöriga ska ha möjlighet att komma åt privat information.

Supervision has a strong impact on Students` professional development. It is during clinical education that Students will receive help in linking theory and practice. This study aimed to describe the meaning of good supervision among nursing Students in clinical practice. A qualitative design was used. Nine nursing Students in western Sweden, who had all experienced good supervision in clinical practice, were interviewed.The interviews were analyzed using a descriptive phenomenological methodology.The meaning of the phenomenon, good supervision in clinical education among nursing Students, was shown as the Students were gradually piloted to increased responsibility.
