Student recruitment? - Three teachers? thoughts concerning children's first experiences in municipal arts and music schools. The aim of this thesis is to explore three teacher' experiences of recruitment of students to arts and music schools. The thesis includes thoughts about how teachers can inspire students and why the orchestral string bass is an infrequent choice of instrument to study. I have examined the issues through a qualitative study where I have interviewed three licensed string bass teachers of different ages and backgrounds.

Studien undersöker vilka normer och maktordningar som visar sig genom den humoristiska gestaltningen och ställer frågor runt varför dessa uppstår och hur man skulle kunna förändra detta. Det konstnärliga processarbetet och den sceniska presentationen redogör för hur jag utforskat mina egna fördomar om mig själv och det fält som jag befinner mig inom som musikdramatisk scenkonstnär och student i musikdramatik. With this paper the aim is to find out whether there are any differences in how five students from the north part of Africa structures their tales in comparison with the Nordic tale "The emperor?s new clothes". The purpose is to look at how the genre pedagogy can be said to relate to these differences. What happens to the "deviant" structures?Based on literature and research on the subject, I have concluded that there are certain patterns of how a tale "should" be structured based on Western standards.

In all equestrian sports except for individual voltige, men and women compete on equal terms, which otherwise is very rare in sports. This study examines from a gender perspective how female and male riders are reffered to by expert commentators in competitions. The aim is to see if there are differences in how the riders are depicted and mentioned based on gender. The material consists of comments about eight rides, four performed by female riders and four by male riders, from two large international world cup competitions in dressage, broadcasted on SVT in 2012 and 2013. The material has been transcribed and then analyzed using content analytic method with a quantitative and a qualitative part.

Abstract (in English)The work that lead to a CE- marking and the creation of a total drawing foundation on an existing machine carried out on the company Polytec Composites Sweden AB in Ljungby. The company have design an machine that exist in six example that runs in the production. To be able to use the machine the company have to work out a CE-marking. The process that summed up all the document that needs for the machine to make a CE-marking. The documentation includes a total drawing over the machine and a risk analysis performed by a group employers on the company.

Studies have shown that air pollution, as well as bark fissure depth and sun exposure of a tree can have an effect on lichen growth as well as abundance of lichen species. The aim of this study was to find out the relative importance of these factors. 211 oaks in south eastern Sweden were surveyed for presence of 17 lichen species, as well as the total number of lichen species. Half of the trees were situated in urban areas and half in the countryside. For each tree the bark fissure depth was measured and the sun exposure of the trunk was estimated.

The aim of this bachelor?s thesis is to investigate how the activities of the public library are portrayed by the Swedish press. It poses the following questions: What kinds of public library activities are portrayed in the Swedish press? What image does this depiction purvey to the general public about the societal role of public libraries?A model of four library spaces developed by Skot-Hansen, Hvenegaard Rasmussen, and Jochumsen is used as the theoretical framework for this study. Qualitative content analysis is applied to 173 Swedish newspaper articles that describe public library activities.The analysis reveals that articles about many kinds of public library activities get published in the Swedish press, but that some activities occur more frequently than others.

One of the main goals of the national curriculum is to encourage children?s personal opinion and support them in development of argumentation ability and communication skills. All this is very important for the children as members of the future society.The purpose of this essay is to investigate how primary school teachers estimate the meaning of the pupil?s argumentation as well as which methods and approaches are assumed by the teachers to be most appropriate for children?s argumentation development. The study also considers the questions how the teachers motivate their pupil has to argue in the classroom and how the students by themselves understand the concept of argumentation.

Denna uppsats handlar om alfabetiseringsundervisning av vuxna andraspråksinlärare. Undersökningens syfte är att ta reda på några lärares pedagogiska val i sin alfabetiseringsundervisning, vad dessa val grundar sig på samt vad lärarna anser vara befrämjande undervisning för dessa elever. Undersökningen har en fenomenologisk infallsvinkel och består av kvalitativa intervjuer med fyra lärare på två olika skolor. Resultatet visar att lärarna anser det vara viktigt med hemklassrum, att de utgår ifrån elevernas verklighet och använder helst autentiskt material och bilder, samt betonar att repetition och konkretisering är viktiga pedagogiska metoder liksom förmågan att sätta sig in i elevernas situation. Lärarna anser att det som befrämjar elevernas inlärning är tillgång till modersmålslärare och speciallärare, en trygg arbetsmiljö och att lärarna ser eleverna som kompetenta individer.

This study tests two financial valuation models empirically by valuing three stocks from three industries, with the purpose of studying how well valuation models work empirically and to make a forecast. The models which will be tested are residual income valuation and discounted cash flow. Nine stocks will be picked strategically from the Swedish stock market and additional analysis will follow in the analysis chapter.Based on analysis and valuation, the commodities industry has decent valuation as the healthcare industry is undervalued thanks to the high valuation of AZN. The energy industry has low value due to the capital intensive nature of the industry. This student report is about canine atopic dermatitis It includes a description of the immunologic mechanisms and how the reaction affects the body. The symptoms are various, most common is pruritus, erythema and alopecia and directly associated with the immunologic reaction. The diagnostic process includes symptoms, physical findings, differential diagnosis, intradermal test and serological test. The options of treatment are several and vary for each patient. The report includes hyposensitization, medical treatment such as corticosteroids, antihistamin and cyclosporine, topical treatment, fatty acid supplements and environmental treatment. Denna studie syftar till att, ur ett multimodalt perspektiv, få kännedom om hur digitala verktyg används av lärare i undervisningssyfte på Södertörns högskola, samt studenters inställning till de medietekniska hjälpmedlen. Detta har gjorts med hjälp av observationer, intervjuer och enkätundersökningar som genomfördes med lärare och studenter.Det resultat som observationerna gav stämde överens med resultatet från intervjuer och enkätundersökningar. Studien visar att digitala verktyg används sparsamt av lärare på högskolan. Föreläsningar med PowerPoint-presentationer som i stort sett enbart innehöll text och bilder var i särklass det vanligaste undervisningsredskapet. Lärarna har generellt en positiv inställning till digitala verktyg men på grund av tidsbrist och begränsningar i hur och vilka digitala hjälpmedel som får användas i undervisningen hämmas de.
