This essay attempts to examine the discourse of the Sweden democrats in relation to thevalue system of the Swedish national school.To analyse the political texts I use discourse analysis and especially the method and approachconducted by Judith Lee Bacchi. Bacchi focuses on the construction of a problem in variouspolitical discourses. When performing this kind of analysis the main question is (accordingto Bacchi): ?What is the problem represented to be??I find that the Sweden democrats construct the ?migration politics? and the ?multiculturalpolitics? that is guiding the society as the cause of most problems in our society. To solvethe ?problems? they promote a nationalistic and a cultural racist discourse especiallypinpointing the ?Muslims? as being a problem.Since the Sweden democrats are striving to implement their discourse in the society andschool, and since their discourse already are reproduced by solar students in the classroom,I find it important to examine the essence of their particular discourse and contrast it withthe current value system of the Swedish schools.I don´t find the nationalistic and racist discourse of the Sweden democrats to correspond tothe value system of the Swedish school, mainly due to their strive to create alienation, andby labeling individuals in a reductive manner, instead of using apparent differences as asource for democratic discussions in the classroom.

The contact company, LRF Konsult, is a consulting firm specialized in areas of law, real estate, finance and taxation. Discussions on the subject of agricultural improvement in the area of Lean, has primarily been driven by the Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry, where LRF Konsult also participated. This thesis can be seen as a preliminary study of how Lean can work within agricultural enterprises.The thesis primarily focuses on the possibilities dairy farms have to improve operations. What practical benefits they can obtain through the implementation of Lean. And how an implementation could take place.By visits to two dairy companies, and through interviewing their respective business leaders, an image of the companies activity for improvement, in connection to this thesis was established.

HMS Networks AB develops, produces and sells communication technology for industrial automation. The product handles communication between a variety of protocols. The product treated in this project is an Anybus X-gateway Modbus-TCP Master/Client and this module is currently configured from a web-based interface. In doing so, the flexibility for handling protocols is limited to what the company chooses to add to the interface. Therefore the company had a request that the flexibility should be extended using a script language.

Politiskt styrda organisationer har annorlunda förutsättningar för att genomföra strategiska förändringar än privata. Vad innebär den politiska kontextens säregenhet och vad kan göras för att överbrygga problem. Syfte: Att utifrån FUM undersöka hur strategiskt förändringsarbete kan bedrivas i politiskt styrda organisationer. Genomförande: Vi har haft en explorativ ansats och genomfört 10 intervjuer med ledande politiker i Motala kommun.

Every single child has the right to a childhood as well as a future. The labor regulations within the international conventions exist in order to make sure that these rights are looked after, but the ratification of the conventions is just the beginning. In order to receive the results which are set by the conventions, it is crucial that the implementation is successful. The politics of the country have to change and improve in order to achieve compatible laws, but also the population has to be given the opportunity to obtain education and knowledge about their human rights. Children who are forced to work at a young age, often under inhuman conditions, are not only deprived of their childhood but also of the chance to develop into an independent individual at the same time as this interferes with their education.

The following study is dedicated to investigate what kind of problems an organisation might stumble upon in the process of implementing a policy related to information security. Alongside investigating the eventual problems occurring in the implementation process of an organisation, the study also sets out to analyse how an organisation can motivate staff in order to follow the guidelines of a policy. The collection of empirical data was done using interviews. In order to seek answers to our research questions a theoretical background is presented that illustrate the need for information security after which motivational theories are applied to our collected data.To summarise the results of the study we find a gap of knowledge between the employees of the organisation. The organisational level of an employee together with the degree of participation in working with a policy seems connected to both the employee?s knowledge of a policy as well as how well the employee are motivated to learn about and follow the guidelines provided from a policy..

When developing software that is meant to be distributed over several different computers and several different networks while still working together against a common goal there is a challenge in testing how updates within a single component will affect the system as a whole. Even if the performance of that specific component increases that is no guarantee for the increased performance of the entire system. Traditional methods of testing software becomes both hard and tedious when several different machines has to be involved for a single test and all of those machines has to be synchronized as well.This thesis has resulted in an exemplary application suite for testing distributed software. The thesis describes the method used for implementation as well as a description of the actual application suite that was developed. During the development several important factors and improvements for such a system was identified, which are described at the end of the thesis even though some of them never made it into the actual implementation.

Today an increasing number of schools and organizations are investing in so called Learning Management Systems. Researchers disagree on the pedagogical value of these tools. Some mean that Learning Management Systems cement old-fashioned behaviouristic teaching practices; others mean that the systems provide good opportunities in supporting learning in a socio cultural perspective. The aim of this study is to reach better understanding and increased knowledge of how the introduction of a Learning Management System influences the role of the teacher and how the learning is organized. We have conducted two case studies.

Vissa forskare är av åsikten att företag bör vara marknadsorienterade, vilket innebär att de styrs av marknaden, medan andra anser att företagens egna kompetenser bör avgöra hur de ska agera. Mot bakgrund av detta undersöks i denna studie hur teleoperatörer handlar strategiskt, samt hur de går tillväga för att skapa flexibilitet. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka vad som karaktäriserar marknads- respektive resursorienterade företag, samt vilka skillnader som finns i deras sätt att skapa strategisk flexibilitet. Avgränsningar: I denna uppsats studeras svenska teleoperatörer som verkar inom både fast och mobil telefoni.

When referring to the same event, people can have different assumptions. What is interesting to see is why these assumptions are different, why do people have different stories? Some of the reasons could be different levels of expectation, different communication channels or even different cultural backgrounds. We have analysed all these by having a case study within a company that has recently gone through a change management/strategy implementation process.The research reviewed in this paper originates in two different worlds. One world is a research world where stories come from textbooks and articles.

The purpose of this essay is to investigate how four companies in Värmland, Sweden, are working strategically with their brands. This is a qualitative method in which we have used a combination of interviews and literature review in order to investigate the link between brands and the Karlstad region.Even though there is a huge interest in brands, there are only a few companies who can describe clearly what their own brand represents. This probably due to the fact that the brand is still regarded as a tactical tool, rather than as a strategic one. Because of this we find it very interesting to investigate how organizations in Värmland think about this issue. Are brands regarded as a strategic resource, and how strong is the link between their brands and the region?The result indicate that organizations are working strategically with their brands, but they can still get better.

Detta är en kvalitativ studie om hur Luleå kommun förhåller sig till kompetensförsörjning. Ämnet är intressant att studera då det handlar om kommunens överlevnad, mer specifikt konkurrensen om arbetskraft mellan offentlig och privat sektor. Syftet med studien var att beskriva och analysera hur Luleå kommun arbetar med strategisk kompetensförsörjning samt analysera kommunens utvecklingsmöjligheter för att kunna ge förslag på förbättringar. För att kunna besvara syftet formulerades fyra frågeställningar; Vilka kompetensförsörjningsstrategier använder sig Luleå kommun av? På vilket sätt förbereder kommunen sig inför sina kommande utmaningar? Vad betyder kompetensförsörjning för cheferna? Vilken resurstilldelning finns rörande kompetensförsörjning? Studiens datainsamling har främst skett genom intervjuer men har även kompletteras med dokument från kommunen.

The use of ERP in organisations is very popular and many companies have embraced this paradigm without really questioning why. Problems therefore often arise and cause high costs which is a result of poor planning. The paradigm also has its origin in the traditional architectural design that creates a system that has difficulties to adapt to organizations that are constantly evolving. The purpose of this study is to provide a different view of how IT-systems can operate within an organization and show how standard systems can be structured. We emanated from a case study at Linköping University Library, where we studied the implementation and integration of a standard system called Symphony.

Detta arbete behandlar strategisk ekonomistyrning i företag som har projekt som generell arbetsform. Generellt sett har ekonomistyrning utvecklats för att dels försäkra sig om att, och dels för att inspirera, medlemmarna i organisationen att sträva mot verksamhetens mål. Hur använder sig projektföretag av ekonomistyrningen? Finns det skillnader mellan hur företagen styr ?över? sina projekt och ?styr i? sina projektgrupper? Hur kan man uppnå högre målkongruens? Syftet med arbetet har varit att i första hand beskriva ekonomistyrnings aktiviteter i ett företag som har projekt som generell arbetsform och i andra hand försöka ge de generella principerna för användandet av ett ekonomistyrningssystem för att hjälpa ledningen att nå högre målkongruens i sina projekt. Det är ytterst viktigt att tillämpa styrning av medlemmarna för att uppnå målkongruens och styrning förutsätter individer, som medverkar i processen, där en individ styr en annan eller flera andra individer.
