Every single child has the right to a childhood as well as a future. The labor regulations within the international conventions exist in order to make sure that these rights are looked after, but the ratification of the conventions is just the beginning. In order to receive the results which are set by the conventions, it is crucial that the implementation is successful. The politics of the country have to change and improve in order to achieve compatible laws, but also the population has to be given the opportunity to obtain education and knowledge about their human rights. Children who are forced to work at a young age, often under inhuman conditions, are not only deprived of their childhood but also of the chance to develop into an independent individual at the same time as this interferes with their education. These children are facing both physical and mental injuries and have no opportunities to improve the situation on their own, despite the fact that their circumstances have been created by someone else. The international conventions regulate for example the right for children to be protected against both economical exploitation as well as work that can harm the children?s education or jeopardise their health. Furthermore, it is up to the state after ratification, to utilize all resources available to achieve the changes requested by the conventions. The government of Pakistan and a vast part of the population are not however prioritising child labor today, causing further setbacks when it comes to the implementation of the conventions. Pakistan is in a state where amendments are not enough, the people need to be more aware of the problem and acquire a will to change the situation for the better. The vicious circle of poverty, politics and the lack of knowledge amongst the population need to be broken and by that facilitate the implementation which will also improve the observance of the regulations of the conventions.
