In this paper, I design a new concept for a patio at Hotel and Restaurant Villa Anna in Odinslund, Uppsala, Sweden. Through this design, I examine how urban farming can thrive in a restaurant-context. The purpose of the design is to give the visitor a sense of the core values of the cuisine and to strengthen the sense of place by Storytelling. My methods are comprised of a literature study on urban farming and Storytelling as well as a discussion with the res-taurateur Rafael Löfstedt. I create a Story of the place by examining its historical background and connect it to the current philosophy of the Villa Anna restaurant.

Syskonbädd, or ?Sibling?s bed? in English, is a short Story or drama, written by Swedish author Stina Aronson and originally published in 1931 under the pen name Sara Sand. While the Story did not attract wide attention for many years, it has recently been republished and performed on stage, as well as aired on the radio. The plot is centered on Harriet, a woman who starts to see the world with different eyes, in a less strict and organized way. Her new view is welcomed neither by her husband nor society, and the book starts with Harriet?s escape from a ?rest home?, where she has been placed by her husband in order for her to return to her old self.

This thesis treats the topic of user-generated comments connected with news stories on news sites, meaning electronic word-of-mouth combined with PR. The writers have examined how different types of comments affect consumers' perception of the article and also what communication effects these comments generate in terms of attitudes, purchase intent and word-of-mouth intent. The results interesting to the news site owners, is that lots of comments and negative comments generate a negative effect by making the actual article less credible, attractive and worth reading (relative to the subsequent comments). On the positive side, serious comments imply that the news Story is perceived as more interesting, than a news Story followed by non-serious comments. From a brand equity perspective, the interesting results show that few comments compared to lots of comments, generate a better attitude to the brand, even though there is no difference in how positive or negative the comments are.

The purpose of this essay is to study two film adaptations of the original Planet of the Apes novel and see what kind of relationship the two adaptations have with each other. The main question is if the secondary film adaptation is restricted by the primary and if the relationships between these two are as two separate adaptations or as a remake of an adaptation. What the results of the study show is that the secondary adaptation can not be seen as a remake even though it gets some of its inspiration from both the original Story as well as the primary adaptation. The secondary adaptation is, however, restricted in what it can adapt due to the primary adaptation having the first pick, at least if the secondary adaptation wishes to be a whole new adaptation and not a remake of the primary. The study shows also that the fidelity in the secondary adaptation is not necessarily to either the original or the primary but to the knowledge the audience has about the Planet of the Apes universe which they have gathered from all of the important versions of the Story.

AbstractThe aim of this study is to investigate how a picture book for children is transformed into an easy-to-read version for children who have just started reading. I examine two versions of Emil of Lönneberga. One of the books is the orginal picture book of Emil in Lönneberga and was written by Astrid Lindgren (1963), while the other is an easy-toreadversion of the book, as adapted by the author Helena Renvall (1977). I have conducted a comparative study as a text and picture analysis of the material, with the focus on the adaptation of the original Story. The adaptation in this case is a revision intended to make the Story easier to read and more accessible to today?s children.

In the project, my ambition was to make a stage design for theater withteenagers as target group. I have worked with the musical theater groupTheater ACTA in Gothenburg and independently from scripts, interpretedand shaped an outline for the basis of the set design of the play?s differentelements. The shopping mall is a reflection of the city and its habitants, a concentrate of the modern city. I have studied the dialogues of malls and the communication within, how malls are put together and what they communicate. The city is constantly changing. As soon as we try to grasp the city, it slips away. My opinion is that city planners and landscape architects need to widen their views. City planning needs to develop to better fit to the changes of our modern cities.

SammanfattningBakgrund: Demens drabbar främst äldre och är en sjukdom där delar av hjärnan avvecklas. Personer med demenssjukdom får en nedsatt kognitiv förmåga och har svårt att minnas saker och utföra vardagliga aktiviteter. Många lider av ätsvårigheter vilket ökar risken för undernäring.Syfte:Att beskriva omvårdnadsåtgärder för att främja näringsintag hos personer med demenssjukdom.Metod: Studien är en litteraturstudie där sökningar i databaserna CINAHL,  PubMed och SweMed+  gjordes för att besvara syftet . Omvårdnadsåtgärder i artiklarna identifierades och kunde sorteras under olika kategorier och subkategorier.Resultat: För att främja näringsintaget hos personer med demenssjukdom identifierades fyra huvudsakliga åtgärder. De som lyftes fram var måltidssituation och matning, näringstillskott, miljöåtgärder och pedagogiska åtgärder.Slutsatser: Resultatet visar att vårdpersonalen har en viktig roll för att främja patienternas näringsstatus och kan tillgodose en gemytlig måltidsmiljö samt näringsrik och allsidig kost.

This essay examines the olfactory reading as a possible way to make sense of a fragmented novel, in this case Sara Stridsberg?s debut Happy Sally (2004). Through close reading, the essay identifies the source of the smells, who perceives it, and how this is portrayed in the text. The smell?s position in the text is understood in relation to Maurice Merleau-Ponty?s phenomenology, where the body, as created in the literary text, is considered as a source of knowledge.

The purpose of this master thesis is to examine how the relationship between humans and nature is expressed in the imaginative literature. My aim is to identify ideological reproductions in the analyzed works. Therefore I have chosen one work from late 19th century and one from late 20th century. This makes it possible to examine the contextual anchorage of the found ideological expressions. The study?s theoretical framework is primarily based on ecocriticism, and especially on Greg Garrard?s and Kate Soper?s thoughts.

In my scientific essay, I an experienced child minder, describe two different preschools cultures and investigate how preschool culture can be influenced and created by different conditions. In my first Story I describe a professional preschool with a preschool director who is involved in the activities every day. The second Story is about a preschool that is characterized by a different preschool culture and members of the staff who are stuck in old patterns and with an absent preschool director.
