The aim of this essay is to investigate the function and development of non-player characters (NPC) in the TV/computer game Dragon Age: Origins. The NPCs are analysed in order to see if their development is affected by the player character?s (PC) background and interactions. The game?s ethics is also investigated by studying how the NPCs treat the PC and what significance they give to his background and actions.The results show that the NPCs are affected by the PC?s interactions, and furthermore, that they are round characters, which is unusual in TV/computer games.

År 2009 startades det europeiska forskningsprojektet COST Action IS0804 med syfte att få mer kunskap om flerspråkiga barns språkutveckling och utveckla bedömningsmaterial anpassade för flerspråkiga barn. Inom COST Action fokuserar arbetsgruppen Narrative and discourse på berättelser (narrativer) som ett sätt att bedöma språk hos barn. Berättande liknar naturlig språkanvändning och anses ge en mer rättvisande bild av flerspråkiga barns förmåga än andra logopediska test. Av narrativgruppen utvecklades bedömningsmaterialet MAIN (Multilingual Assessment Instrument for Narratives). Med MAIN kan barns produktion och förståelse av berättelser undersökas på makrostrukturell nivå.

The aim of this essay is to examine what happens when Veronica Roths Divergent-trilogy is read with a lutheran theological pre-understanding. Using reader-response theory and lutheran theology written for and in a post-modern context, three lutheran figures of thought are presented as one way of understanding the trilogy. The conclusion is that it is possible to reveal lutheran ideas concerning justification, guilt, forgiveness, mercy and self-sacrificing love in the Divergent-Story. .

Det finns många så kallade dokusåpor, eller realityserier som vi kommer kalla dem i denna rapport, på teve. Från 1995, året då realityserien kom till Sverige i och med sändningen av ?The Real World Stockholm?, har antalet produktioner inom realitygenren ökat kraftigt. När vi i höstas gjorde en förundersökning gällande realityserier (?Den redigerade verkligheten ? en studie i realityseriers berättarteknik?) fann vi att radiomediet inte alls hade samma utbud inom realitygenren som teve har.

En ofta förbisedd aspekt inom filmkonsten är hur landskapet kan samspela med och inverka på handlingen och manifestera huvudkaraktärernas känsloliv. Uppsatsen syftar till att skapa en djupare förståelse för den roll landskapet spelar i film utifrån en detaljstudie av två personligt utvalada roadmovies; Återkomsten (A. Zvyagintsev, 2003) och The Straight Story (D. Lynch, 1999). Jag redogör för hur landskapsbilden har utvecklats ur bildkonsten sedan århundraden tillbaka, långt innan kinematografins uppkomst. Utifrån mina studier har jag utvecklat och sammanställt en samling metoder och frågeställningar som används för att tydligare beskriva och ge svar på vilken roll landskapet spelar i de två filmerna - och som i förlängningen kan tillämpas på film i allmänhet. Undersökningen visar att det finns en mängd moment inom film för att signalera en allegorisk avsikt till publiken; vissa mer konventionella och närmast schablonmässiga medan andra är subtila och fungerar som en allegorisk beståndsdel i filmberättandet. Precis som människan präglar landskapet, präglar landskapet också människan i en slags växelverkan i de studerade filmerna. Landskap ger oss möjlighet att skapa mening i filmiska händelser och det kan symbolisera och uttrycka det som inte kan sägas i ord. Landskapet kan understryka och förstärka känslor som yttras och har förmågan att återspegla våra allra innersta subjektiva upplevelser av världen..

My project is based on a journey to India in thewinter of 2011-12. I knew that I wanted to dosome sort of travelouge based on my photos fromthe trip. I also knew I wanted to do some sort ofbook. How this, the Story of my travels in India,would be told and what the theme was going to be,that was more elusive.I started out with the notion of a retelling of theold epic Ramayana and combining this with mytravels and the critical perspective of Edward W.Saids Orientalism. This proved to be an impossibleequation and I also had to rework my plan to fitthe tight timeframe I had.

I begin my essay with a Story that illustrates how a preschool activity organized on a modular work can be perceived. I describe how the environment has been rebuilt and modified to accommodate one large group of children instead of two smaller groups as before. Management´s justification for the change is that it is carried out to give the children better conditions for their learning, but my understanding is that it also hampers preschool-teachers´ abilities to implement their assignment.I try to understand what benefits module work by examining what well-known researchers believe is important for children´s learning in environmental and preschool teacher´s importance. When I use what I have learned to analyze my Story, my opinion is that the change of the preschool activity not have just a positive impact but also entails that preschool teachers find it difficult to be present and in interaction with the children as several well-known researchers notes is important for children´s learning. I discuss how a large and rich environment at the same time can be perceived as incalculable for teachers, which can result in not all of the children being paid attention to in the preschool activity.

Arbetet belyser frågan om huruvida konstnärer som även är pedagogiskt verksamma använder sig av sitt konstnärskap i den pedagogiska verksamheten. Syftet är att reda ut hur personer som är både konstnärer och pedagoger tänker kring problematiken att kombinera dessa två yrken, men även att skapa en digital Story kring resultatet och processen i form av bilder och tal. Begreppet konstnär diskuteras, samt om konst är en slags vetenskap. Även Reggio Emilia-pedagogiken och dess syn på konstnärligt arbete i förskolor berörs. Metoden som används i undersökningen är kvalitativa intervjuer.

This essay tells about the meaning of eurhythmics for children?s development and why it is so difficult to draw attention to the value of eurhythmics compared to other activities in preschool. The essay builds upon a Story that shows what consequences may follow when the meaning of the eurhythmics in the process of learning is not acknowledged. By looking at the relation between rhythm and human beings in a global perspective, I have examined the meaning of rhythm for the human well-being. The question I have researched is; why does eurhythmics appeal to almost every child in spite of being rejected by so many teachers? By researching the reasons behind these completely different points of views, I have tried to enhance the understanding for the different perspectives.
