This paper examines how debt cancellation, given under the HIPC-initiative, has affected corruption over the period 2000-2006. The examination is foremost interesting due to earlier research showing that high corruption leads to unequal distribution of economic resources. This, combined with the objective of the HIPC initiative to reduce poverty, indicates that combating corruption must be successful in order to fulfill the goals of the initiative. A linear regression shows that countries that have benefited from the HIPC-initiative indeed have a lower corruption than other countries. A panel-data analysis shows on the other hand that no effect on corruption due to debt cancellation or reforms undertaken in the program can be confirmed..

Återköp har varit tillåtet fullt ut i Sverige under fem år. Då det enligt vår kännedom inte har publicerats någon undersökning av vilka faktorer som motiverat företagen att företa återköp under den period det varit tillåtet har vi ansett det angeläget att uppmärksamma detta område. Vi har således undersökt om ett antal motiv till återköp belagda i utländska undersökningar kan förklara återköpen som gjorts av de svenska börsnoterade företagen. De olika motiven är förekomsten av överskottskapital, undervärdering, en icke optimal kapitalstruktur och ledningsoptioner. Undersökningen har vi genomfört med hjälp av en regression och en medelvärdesjämförelse.

Denna uppsats beskriver artefaktfynd som gjorts inom området. Genom att tidsbestämma artefakterna och i den mån det är möjligt att fastställa dess fyndplatser skapas ett spridningsmönster. Genom att samtidig granska klimat, havsnivå och topografi mm skapas genom bearbetning och analys, diskussion och tolkning en schematisk bild över undersökningsområdets utveckling. Av denna kan man utläsa hur området befolkades, bosättningsmönster, det första jordbruket mm. Dessa fragment från stenåldern visar också på förändringar över tiden.

The purpose of this project was to further develop and complete a quadcopter that had been built in an earlier course at KTH, so that it could be used for demonstration and education at the school. The quadcopter was at the beginning of the project completed when it came to hardware, and there was some software functionality implemented but no system for automatic stabilization. The main goal of the project was to implement such a system, and to combine it with the previous functionality to make the quadcopter operable and able to fly. To create a functioning and stable ground multiple basic software features has been implemented, and on top of that additional software to improve the safety, stability and functionality. The most important part is the control system that is responsible for converting sensor and control signals to suitable motor values.

Vi har valt ut fem aktier med varierad storlek från varje bransch, på den amerikanska börsen.Vi använde oss av en multipel regressionsanalys för att komma fram till vilket av oljepriset och Dow Jones index som påverkade aktierna mest. Corporate failures pose a problem for banks, investors, customers, employees andinsurers. With a multivariate discrimination method, the study aims to find the specificfinancial ratios that most accurate reveals a company's financial health, which is ofinterest to all of the above parties. The data consist of 1042 Swedish small enterprisesand 30 different financial ratios between the years 2005?2007. The result shows thatbankrupt firms three years before bankruptcy have a disadvantaged capital structurewith poor solvency and high debt.

Ericsson?s factory in Kumla, Modules Kumla, became a hub for radio modules and micro base stations, which enables mobile communication through radio base stations, in 2004. Because of this the factory focuses more on the logistics operations. This has led to a need to be able to plan the capacity for the materials handling system. This master thesis has therefore been performed at Modules Kumla to develop a capacity calculation model for the material handling flow during the autumn of 2005.The work has contained a mapping of the material handling flow regarding to which activities was performed and how much time they consumed.

We also changed the script language from python to PHP.The search engine ability has been extended with three new search alternatives for a user to choose from. Syftet med studien var att undersöka vad som påverkar människors deltagande i professionella HR-nätverk. Det kan vara intressant både för deltagarnas företag, nätverksarrangörerna och icke-deltagare att veta ur synpunkten vad som gör att man väljer att delta i nätverk. Detta har gjorts i form av en enkät som mailats ut till Sveriges HR-förenings nätverksmedlemmar. Temana kring frågorna var kontaktskapande, engagemang, erfarenhetsutbyte och ensamhet. På det inkomna materialet, 38 enkäter, gjordes en regression som visade att kontaktskapande, erfarenhetsutbyte och ensamhet påverkar engagemang, både som ensamma variabler var och en för sig och tillsammans.

Our aim in this work has been to redesign ModernFamilies and make a user-friendly interface for people with aphasia. The focus has been to identify general issues they might face while using different technology and applications, in order to find better alternative design for ModernFamilies, with a focus on usability. To approach this issue, we used a qualitative method. Our study includes several interviews and observations preformed in conjunction with the AGNES project (AGeing in a NEtworked Society) and speech therapists. Aphasia requires simple design that in the same time gives them support to understand and use technology and different applications.

Patent and human capital are hard to value and also there is a great uncertainty about the success of the compaines research programs. Are traditional valuation models really useful when it comes to research companies or do they result in false values of the companies? Purpose: To study what values different valuation models gives biotechnology companies and how they correspond to the market value. Method:We have studied financial litterature och found the most common used models today.

The Swedish Transport Agency has for a long time collected data on a monthly basis for different variables that are used to make predictions, short projections as well as longer projections. They have used SAS for producing statistical models in air transport. The model with the largest value of coefficient of determination is the method that has been used for a long time. The Swedish Transport Agency felt it was time for an evaluation of their models and methods of how projections is estimated, they would also explore the possibilities to use different, completely new models for forecasting air travel. This Bachelor thesis examines how the Holt-Winters method does compare with SARIMA, error terms such as RMSE, MAPE, R2, AIC and BIC  will be compared between the methods. The results which have been produced showing that there may be a risk that the Holt-Winters models adepts a bit too well in a few variables in which Holt-Winters method has been adapted.
