The purpose of this study is to see what obstacles and opportunities the staff on a residence for unaccompanied children experience when trying to integrate these children into the Swedish society. I was also interested in how the integration of these children worked. I have interviewed the staff with a qualitative method. The result was analyzed with the help of Diaz integration theory and Bauman´s theory "us and them", and also with the previous research in the subject. My conclusion is that integration is a complicated concept that is experienced and interpreted individually. There are both obstacles and opportunities in the work with the integration of unaccompanied children. The result shows me that the schools? role and the legal guardians function should have been better planned and framed from the start.

One of the most discussed archaeological subjects is the neolitisation, and the start of a neolithic lifestyle which is characterized by several significant events. The traditional view has been that settled people were cultivating and breeding, but this picture has been questioned and changed in later years. The development is principally based on two models; that already neolithic people immigrated and took over, or that the new lifestyle gradually developed out of the existing cultures. Southern Scandinavia was characterized by a settlement pattern with permanent settlements which were complemented by temporary special settlements, but in time more domestic settlements originated. On the British Isles the settlements didn´t consist of permanent agricultural settlements but instead did the people here move freely between several short term settlements.  .

Syftet med examensarbetet är att visa hur barn tänker om begreppet hälsa och hur man kan använda tematiskt arbete för att utveckla deras tankar. I teorigenomgången redogörs olika definitioner av hälsa, läroplanerna och hur barn tänker och lär. Metoden har varit intervjuer med hjälp av tankekartor och intervjufrågor. Nio elever i skolår 2 har intervjuats vid två tillfällen. Den första intervjun skedde före temaarbetets start och den andra intervjun skedde efteråt.

När barn kräver neonatalvård efter förlossningen är det ofta oväntat för modern. På den neonatala vårdavdelningen läggs fokus på familjecentrerad vård, där föräldrarna blir de primära vårdgivarna. Syftet med studien var att beskriva mödrars upplevelser samt faktorer som påverkar upplevelserna under den neonatala vårdtiden. Litteraturstudiens resultat baseras på tio vetenskapliga artiklar. Resultatet visar att mödrar upplever ett känslomässigt kaos.

In this study it has been investigated what is missing in non-strength training women to begin exercise regular strength training. It has also examined the level of knowledge about the health benefits and the employer's encouragement to maintain good health. The study was designed in a qualitative methodology and data collection was designed in form of semi-structured interviews. Six women were interviewed between the ages 22-51år. The results showed that women possessed a very low level of knowledge about strength training and also fears and prejudices existed among them.

The civil war in Sierra Leone was a very complicated conflict, both in its origin as well as in its realization. Many actors, along with the diamond trade, played vital parts in making the war carry on for a decade. In this paper I will try to clarify the relations between the actors and the diamonds, first and foremost the part the diamonds played in the conflicts start and continuation. I will also show what has happened in the country and in the diamond industry after the wars conclusion. What I find is that diamonds did not play the only part in the origin of the conflict but that the poor economic state the country was in had its part.

In this thesis I'm trying to examine the meaning potential of visual elements and layout in a Swedish newspaper front page and the same newspaper's website's start page, drawing on theories about multimodality and social semiotics developed mainly by Theo van Leeuwen and Gunther Kress. The study is focusing on Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet and the website aftonbladet.se and compares these three different days. In this thesis I also try to examine what the newspaper communicate about its identity through the different visual components. My conclusion is that visual elements and layout have a great importance regarding what a newspaper communicate about how the news articles should be read, but what can be said about a company's identity mostly depend on the genre the newspaper belongs to and how well the reader knows that particular genre..

Under 1970-talet såg forskare inom näringsfysiologin en stigande trend av ökad konsumtion av fett- och sockerhaltiga produkter på bekostnad av bland annat matbrödskonsumtion. I tid  av livsmedels- och energikriser förespråkade forskare en alternativ diet med ett större inslag av grönsaker och fullkornsprodukter då det hade slagits fast att ett högt intag av fett och socker ledde till bland annat hjärt-kärlsjukdomar samt karies. Matbrödsproducenterna och Socialstyrelsen höll med experterna och detta ledde till ett samarbete mellan parterna som mynnande ut i Brödkampanjen med start år 1976 där den svenska befolkningen uppmanades att äta mera bröd. Denna undersökning har visat på hur experterna argumenterade för en ökad brödkonsumtion och varför just bröd var ett bra alternativt livsmedel genom att ta del av Socialstyrelsens arkivlämningar med intervjuer av experterna bakom kostrekommendationen..

My purpose with this study was to find out if it is possible to buy a farm today for a person who want to start a farm but has very little own capital. In old study?s they have come to the conclusion that you will need at least 20 % own capital to succeed to management the farm. But in the last year the cost for arable land approxley has increased with 30 % in Sweden and the crops have doubled in price. So it would be interesting to see if the banks have a new vision on the need of the own capital when you buy a farm. I have chosen two different farms who was for sale in Östergötland, one dairy farm and the other farm was a plant farm.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of physical activity for people suffering from depression and which nursing interventions nurses can do to make this patients start to exercise. The method used, is a review of articles from Ci-nahl, Cochrane, Elin, PsycInfo, Pubmed and Science Direct, which were analyzed according to Polit och Hunglers criteria for scientific research. The result from the nine studies shows that physical activity has an antidepressive and anxiety reduc-ing effect. Interventions emerged is supporting, encouraging, activating and teach-ing about physical activity as health-promoting measure. Conclusion: Nurses can as an intervention introduce exercise as complementary treatment for people suffering from depression.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect and potential of a non-styled home reportage, and how they influence and inspire to promote individual creativity.Method: I have used a qualitative analysis to be able to create a deep understanding. This is based on three interviews with women in age 22-27, which have a dedicated interest in interior design. I have also sent questionnaires to two persons who run interior design blogs.Conclusions: My analysis shows that the non-styled home reportage is the start of an inspirational process that is beyond consumption and status objects. It promotes individual creativity and willingness to create, based on personnel taste. The essay highlights the importance that the individual critically examines the aesthetics of interior design as presented in diverse media.

 The aim of this essay was to examine the way preschool teachers and children converse during school meals, and also the way preschool teachers start and develop conversations during meals. The conversations were analyzed from the topic of conversation and the teachers' ways of using language acts such as questions, remarks, exhortations. The study was based on observations, tape recording and contact schedule. The result shows that the topic of conversation is significant for how involved teachers are in conversations during meals. The result also shows how conversations develop or end depending on what language acts teachers use.

The purpose of this essay was to compare the Swedish and the Japanese pension system and see if there were any big differences or similarities. I was looking for answers to such questions as if the systems were modelled with the problematic demographic situation in mind and also how these two countries had tried to manage the problems. Path dependency was also a central conception when I studied the reforms of the two pension systems. I mainly used literature and Internet sources in my study. There were many books on the Swedish pension system and the debates that had been going on since the 80's.

Detta examensarbete består av två delar. Dels en rapport, i vilken vi redogör för vårt syfte, vår metod och vårt resultat. Den andra delen är produkten av vårt utvecklingsarbete, en lärarhandledning. Syftet med detta utvecklingsarbete är att utifrån vad som framgår i forskning och litteratur ta fram en lärarhandledning som fokuserar på att träna elevers engelska kommunikativa förmåga.För att utvärdera vår lärarhandledning valde vi att göra en mindre enkätstudie. Studiens resultat visade att aktiviteterna i vår lärarhandledning var mycket uppskattade och användbara.
