Our thesis is an analysis of four librarians view on LGBTQ and which implications these views have on the practical work with LGBTQ issues in the public library. The three ideal types we can identify are the excluding, the including, and the normcritical approach. We also want to know if the four librarians? standpoints can be connected to the above mentioned ideal types. We can see that the area where the implementations of the three ideal types are most visible is the way LGBTQ material is displayed in the library space.

Vi har valt att genomföra en studie om Ungdomstinget med fokus på inflytande och lärande. Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka ungdomarnas egen syn på lärande om inflytande, genom sitt arbete med Ungdomstinget i förhållande till skolan. Detta har vi undersökt genom kvalitativ metod med intervjuer som vårt främsta undersökningsinstrument. Vi har intervjuat fem ungdomar ifrån Samordningsgruppen på Ungdomstinget samt en av grundarna till tinget. Våra slutsatser blev att Ungdomstinget betyder väldigt mycket för de aktiva ungdomarna men att det behövs fler medverkande ungdomar på tinget.

The special relationship between Israel and the US has been subject to questioning, and good many theories have tried to explain why it is so strong. The most common explanation is rooted in the school of realism, where strategy and national interest decide who one's ally is. The question being asked is whether Israel and the US actually share beliefs and, if so, which ones.

The aim of this report is to give a concise description of curtain walls, what it is and why they are used. It is also a description of six different but commonly used design technologies. By giving a detailed description of the different types and there special properties, the pros and cons will be clarified. The three most interesting alternatives were selected to be included in a test, to show the best alternative from a certain point of view.The parameters are:? Environment? Cost? Ergonomics? Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur kompetens kan tillvaratas på bästa sätt i samband pensionsavgångar och nyanställningar. Kompetens har i uppsatsen betraktats ur ett tolkande perspektiv, vilket i korthet innebär att en persons kompetens ses som beroende av dennes förståelse inför sitt arbete. Vidare vilar denna uppsats på följande grundantaganden; verkligheten utgörs av subjektiv föreställning, kunskap är socialt konstruerad samt att lärande sker genom samspel. För att besvara uppsatsens syfte har en empirisk undersökning av kvalitativ karaktär gällande ett antal ingenjörers förståelse inför sitt arbete på VA-verket i Malmö genomförts. Intervjuer med pensionsaktuella samt relativt nyutexaminerade ingenjörer visade att skillnaderna i de mer respektive mindre erfarna ingenjörernas förståelse och därmed kompetens, i första hand grundade sig i deras olika grad av erfarenhet från yrket.

This thesis examines the ideological implications of an emerging shift in human rights-issues regarding information. As Intellectual Property becomes increasingly important to the economy of developed nations previously commonly owned or unprotected information runs a real risk of becoming privatized. The World Trade Organization and its binding agreements GATS and TRIPS are subjected to a critical ideology-analysis, with special efforts to elucidate possible effects on the public service realm and its commitment as provider of free information as a human right. The result suggests that not only does a threat to information as such a right exist, but that its ideological basis however seemingly rooted in a liberal/neoliberal context actually in its express views on information deviates from liberal/neoliberal theory in many ways, and that there are theoretical inconsistencies in that same ideology..

I en föränderlig omvärld är det nödvändigt för organisationer att utvecklas och förändras för att delta i samhällets utveckling. Vid en förändring är det viktigt för ledningen att använda sig av kommunikation som ett redskap för att öka möjligheten att uppnå en framgångsrik förändring.Syfte: Studiens syfte är att med utgångspunkt i en empirisk studie, avseende anställdas uppfattning av kommunikation mellan ledning och anställda vid ett förändringsarbete, vidareutveckla en analysmodell för organisationsförändring.Metod: Den metod som använts i studien är av kvalitativ karaktär och består av intervjuer av anställda som har varit med om olika förändringar inom olika organisationer.Resultat: Genom den empiriska undersökningen tillsammans med teorigenomgången visar resultaten att en organisationsförändring medför olika reaktioner, både positiva och negativa, hos de anställda. Studiens resultat visar även att det är viktigt att använda sig av en kommunikationsstrategi genom hela förändringsprocessen. Med hjälp av denna strategi kan de anställdas negativa reaktioner reduceras och de positiva förstärkas. Vidare framgår det i resultatet att individen i en organisation har en avgörande roll för hur effektiv förändringsarbetet blir.

When anyone acquires control over a listed company the mandatory bid rule is triggered. This means that the person who acquires the control has to make an offer to buy the remaining shares in the company. The purpose of the rule is to protect the minority shareholders from the buyers. This rule has been considered to be burdensome and thus it is followed by an exemption rule which under some special circumstances may make the mandatory bid rule void. The purpose of this thesis is to analyze if the exemptions given by the Swedish securities council (in Swedish Aktiemarknadsnämnden) are in accordance with the purpose of the mandatory bid rule and if a review of these rules are needed.To answer the purpose, the Swedish securities councils statements has been analyzed, to determinate if the exemptions are in accordance with the purpose of the mandatory bid rule.

The study's aim is to create an understanding for the question why Sweden in 1921chose to create its own classification system for public libraries instead of adapting e.g.the Dewey-system which - at this time - was internationally we11 spread. It examines thesocial changes which proceeded the creation of the Swedish Library Association (SLA)in 1915 and discusses in depth the work of the committee appointed by SLA to createthe classification system. Special interest is also given to the relation between SLACSand the Dewey-system.The study shows that the main influence on the codttee's work was the formerSwedish tradition of classification practice. The Dewey-system was seen as inappropriateto adapt in the Swedish libraries because of the vast changes that wouldhave to be done, and the fact that the decimal notation was practically unused in anylibraries in Sweden.From a methodological point of view, the study tries to apply a critical hermeneuticalapproach as developed by Paul Ricoeur.The study contains an extended English summary..

Vi fick av företaget Cardo i uppdrag att analysera deras mentorprogram, vilket ingick i deras managementprogram, CIMP 2005. Då deltagarna hade olika bakgrund och erfarenhet och därmed olika förutsättningar, bestod vårt uppdrag av att analysera och finna eventuella skillnader mellan deltagare som fått utbildning och handledning jämfört med dem som inte fått detta. Vårt syfte var att med utgångspunkt i deltagarnas upplevelser av mentorprogrammet, analysera deltagarnas reflektiva lärande, utifrån både ett adept- och mentorperspektiv. Med denna utgångspunkt valde vi att använda oss av ett kvalitativt angreppssätt med en empirisk och en teoretisk del. Den empiriska delen inleddes med en kort e-postintervju till samtliga deltagare.

Uppsatsen bygger på en kvalitativ intervjustudie med elever i år 9, i syfte att få dessa elevers syn på vad framgång är och vad det innebär att vara framgångsrik, samt vilken roll skolan spelar för att nå framgång och att bli framgångsrik. Resultaten har ställts mot relevanta utbildningssociologiska och pedagogiska teorier. Studiens resultat visar att framgång är när man når de egna målen, att betygen är viktiga för att komma in på det gymnasieval man gör, men att det finns centrala förmågor och kompetenser som betygen inte mäter. Sådana förmågor/kompetenser är t.ex. förmågan att skapa relationer.

Title: Creativity and blockings: Non-musicians? experiences of music making The purpose of this study was to investigate whether the ability of music-making can benefit from and/or be inhibited by extra-musical factors, such as one's own or other people's opinions, criticism, prejudice and values. An experiment was carried out, where 10 nonmusicians were instructed to solve a compositional problem (writing pieces of music to a picture) which had been expressed in two different ways, one of which (A) was intended to block creativity and the other (B) to facilitate the creative process. All subjects also had to answer a questionnaire, where their experiences in connection with the task and their attitudes towards music and composition were mapped. The result was that all subjects succeeded in composing one or more pieces of music, regardless of which instruction they had been given.

This report describes a system for verification of fingerprints against a previous created template. It describes how and why a fingerprint image must be processed before it can be used to either identify or verify a person. The method is based on special features of a fingerprint, called minutiae points. The whole process from image to matching is described, every step in the process with image enhancement, binarization, thinning and how to find the minutiae points. Also what false minutiae points are, how they arise, why they deteriorate the result, and how to handle them, is discussed.

»Does it have to be so green?« is a visual communication project focused on packaging design. I attempted to challenge the clichés of graphic design for organic products and designed a packaging concept for a fictional food brand. The project had a special objec¬tive which was to explore ways to use the package as carrier for in¬formation about the enviromental impact of the packaging itself.The process included research about packaging design and its ef¬fect on the consumer, an investigation of the Swedish market for organic foods, creating and defining a brand, and designing a cohe¬rent packaging concept for a product line which communicates the brand?s values and appeals to the intended target group.The project resulted in prototypes for a muesli package, tea car¬ton and honey jar, as well as a manual that explains the application of the graphic program..
