Ethnic discrimination is still a problem in the Swedish employment market. The Ombudsman against Ethnic Discrimination received 154 complaints relating to discrimination due to ethnicity in the working life in 2012. In addition, reported unemployment rates in Sweden differ markedly between native-born and foreign-born. The purpose of this paper is to investigate how protection against ethnic discrimination in recruitment looks like in Sweden and describe different methods an employer may use to prevent that ethnic discrimination occurs in recruitment situations. The first and second issue of the essay concern what protection there is in Sweden against ethnic discrimination in recruitment situations, based on international and national law. The traditional legal dogmatic method, which describes the valid law, is used in these sections.

In this thesis we propose a conceptual plan for thedevelopment of an Agroforestry Training Centre (ATC)in Musoma, Tanzania. The aim is to make a proposalto support peasant education in agroforestry. How canan ATC in Musoma be developed into a stimulatingand educational park suitable for teaching agroforestrymethods to peasant farmers and other potential users?To answer that a field study was conducted to investigatehow our client Vi Agroforestry Programme (Vi) and thetarget groups of the client can benefit from the site.The thesis begins with a short explanation of thecontext, in which the ATC plays a part followed by amethodology chapter. Next are three chapters presentedwhich introduce the reader to the research conductedbefore starting the proposal, these include: results ofliterature studies, study of precedents, and results of fieldstudy.

Malmö befinner sig idag i en övergång från en stad som varit beroende av industrier till att utvecklas mot en kunskapsstad, vilket gör gamla industriområden aktuella för nya användningsområden. Eftersom Malmös invånarantal ständigt ökar, krävs det att mark inom staden utnyttjas för ny bebyggelse. Järnvägsverkstäderna i nordöstra Malmö är ett äldre industriområde från förra sekelskiftet som haft en betydande roll för staden, men med tiden har förutsättningarna ändrats. Förr dominerades de stora ytorna av järnvägstrafik och industrier som utnyttjade tågförbindelsen, men med tidens gång har platsens lokalisering blivit alltmer central och har idag goda utvecklingsmöjligheter. Genom att området har dominerats av järnvägstrafik för industrier kännetecknas området fortfarande av stora byggnader och rälsdragningar.

The primary ambition of this degree thesis is to create a representative outdoor environment that surrounds Malmö Konsthall (Malmö art center) which reflects the amazing inside of the artcenter. During this work it has become more and more obvious that Magistratsparken, which is situated right next to the artcenter, ought to be incorporated into this project. This thesis aims to examine the possibilities of implementing temporary outdoor artshows on this site. First; is there any interest in exhibiting art at this site? And secondly, if that is the case, what are the spatial needs and how can you prepare the place for future exhibitions and still keep its flexibility for different kinds of art forms to comfortably perform at this site?.

Parkerna började dyka upp i Sverige under 1800-talet då städerna växte och borgarklassen fick mer resurser och fritid. De senaste årtiondena har våra offentliga miljöer många gånger fått komma i andra han i stadsplaneringen, fokus har länge legat på objekten och inte på vad som finns emellan dem. I Karlskrona har länge stora delar av staden varit stängda för allmänheten på grund av militären och det är också det militära som till stor del styrt stadsbyggandet.

The national spatial planning guidelines and the subsequent legal regulation in the Natural Resources Act and the Environmental Code has been a part of the Swedish planning system for almost 40 years. In the recent years, critics have claimed that the regulations are outdated and does not work the way it was intended. This paper examines closer why it is perceived that the regulations does not work, with a focus on how the national interests are managed in the municipal planning. Why is the national interests not applied in the municipal planning as intended? Is the error in the system or in the implementation of it? The aim of this essay is to study the gap between theory and practice by studying how the land management provisions in the Environmental Code is applied in five selected municipalities.

Under senare år har förändringar i stadsmiljön ofta inneburit förnyelse av områden som tappat sin tidigare huvudfunktion. På många håll i Sverige skapas nya stadsdelar där det tidigare funnits industrier, varv eller traditionell hamnverksamhet. Handelshamnen i Karlskrona är ett hamnstråk på Trossös nordöstra sida där största delen av hamnverksamheten flyttat till annan plats och området står nu inför en stadsförnyelse. Huvudproblemet är att hamnen är isolerad från staden och den ursprungliga världsarvsklassade stadsplanen fullföljs inte i hamnen. Syftet med arbetet är att utveckla Handelshamnen till en attraktiv och levande del av staden, vilket kommer resultera i en illustrationsplan. Två olika trianguleringar har använts som bakgrund till illustrationsplanen.

Södra in Oskarström has the ambition to become the best client for silviculture contractors and another aim is that the contractors should feel a strong sense of community with Södra. Several factors play an important role in order for these ambitions to be realized. The purpose of this study was to investigate how the contractors feel about their business relationship with Södra. The study was conducted during the spring of 2015 through a questionnaire which was sent to all ten silviculture contractors working with Södra in Oskarström. Overall, it seemed like the contractors were satisfied with the collaboration.

By remembering and reflecting upon lessons and my own practical knowledge and experience as a teacher in the subject of dance improvisation, I want to examine the ability to improvise as the dance students´ phronesis. Awareness, spontaneity and intuition are vital elements for the comprehension of phronesis and even represented in the basis training in dance improvisation. This study deals with the Adventure Comic Prince Valiant, written and designed by the Canadian artist Harold R. Foster. Focus is on the first two years of publication 1937-1938, where the hero is pictured in his Adolescence. This gives the title of the study: Youth. Earlier writings in the USA on this topic, have concentrated on the artist and less on analyses of the comic itself.

This thesis examines the conditions for participation in the decision making process of a possible mine establishment in Storuman municipality in the north of Sweden. This is done through a case study where the main actors are the mining company Nickel Mountain AB, the municipality Storuman and the Sami village Vapsten. As a theoretical framework Cecilia Eriksson?s division of democratic theories is used as a starting point. Methods as described in deliberative democratic theory, such as discussion by effected community members, are seen as a method within the participatory democratic tradition, not a theory of its own.
