The aim of this study is to explain the paradox of the memberstates willingness to surrender power of important issues such as asylum and refugee policy and therefore partly abandon its sovereignty. We also discuss the relation between internationalization, regionalization and globalization since these processes form the context in which our research problem is found. A case study is used as a method in this paper.In our quest for answers we use a theory of internationalization that we place in its context by primarily discussing the relation between globalization and regionalization. The theory is used as an explanatory force and to give it a concrete form we operationalised its three processes; internationalization of problems, internationalization of the societies and internationalization of the descisionmaking.The result of the case study shows that the increase in asylumseekers leads to a higher risk of negative competition wich give rise to the memberstates need to coordinate their politics.We found that when societies and problems are being internationalized, the state finds it difficult to resolve problems on their own and this leads to the internationalization of the dedescisionmaking. The internationalization of the decision-making process is therefore natural, which in this case means the decisions are taken by the EU rather than by the member states..

The purpose of this thesis was to investigate whether publiclibraries language cafés can support or enable the empowerment of the participants. Empowerment means that the individuals ability to take control of their own lives is strengthened and that the individual becomes more independent. Empowerment also means that the individual takes part in a community. An important part of this is the language. I have developed two research questions: What forms of empowerment can be seen in the respondents' statements? What role do language cafés play for people from other countries, in terms of empowerment? The thesis empirical material consists of interviews whit five people involved in different languages cafes in public libraries in the city of Malmö.

Abstract This Concept Analysis according to Walker & Avant (1995) studies the concept of uncertainty in the nursing context. It consists of four parts where uncertainty in general have been encircled in a semantic analysis (part one) and a qualitative content analysis consisting of an questionnaire, distributed to the staff members at one nursing and medicine institution, with an open question about the meaning of uncertainty (part two). The third part is a literature study of the nursing context to find out how uncertainty is described (part three). Part four is the actual concept analysis based on the three first parts. Uncertainty in the nursing context is an individual conscious experience witch is changeable and impressionable. It is chained together with its antecendents and consequences.

The increasing significance of social economy as a concept is linked to general global processes such as the crisis of the welfare state, neoliberal globalization, anti-bureaucracy tendencies and decentralization, but also to a growing political interest in human rights and social development. In Sweden the idea of the social economy generates wide support within civil society as well as within the government and across party political boundaries. Furthermore, what is problematic in this context is the fact that the discussions on the subject tend to be relatively uncritical and often it seems as if though the expansion itself is the main objective. The emphasis on cooperation and the third sector in terms of welfare production implies a set of risks in relation to state responsibility, democracy and the autonomy of civil society. This paper aims to explore those risks and how they can be dealt with within the Swedish context..

Bakgrunden till mitt val av Karlskrona som arbetsområde är ett intresse för hur förbättringar av cykelvägnätet kan öka förutsättningarna för användningen av cykeln som transportmedel i min hemstad. Karlskrona har en god potential att bli en mer aktiv cykelstad. Trots att staden har en speciellt form med sin placering på ett antal öar är den ändå väl samlad på en begränsad yta. Klimatet är bättre än för många andra cykelorter i Sverige, även om vinden är ett påtagligt inslag stora delar av året. I den teoretiska delen redogör jag för de vilkor och förutsättningar som gäller för planering av cykelvägar.

The climate crisis represents a serious threat to both people and nature and it will exacerbate existing inequalities, especially for women and girls who are most at risk yet have contributed least to the problem. Climate adaptation is critical to addressing the challenges of climate change, and it requires integrating a gender perspective to take into account the specific vulnerabilities faced by women and girls, as highlighted in the Paris Agreement. This study examines the implementation of gender perspectives in Swedish governmental climate change adaptation strategies. By applying a qualitative content analysis to 24 government agencies? action plans, the study investigates how gender equality is addressed in the context of climate change adaptation.

Detta examensarbete undersöker hur man med hjälp av fysisk planering och gestaltning kan skapa förutsättningar för trygghet och säkerhet i 60-talens bostadsområden. Som ett exempelområde har Dalbo i Växjö använts. Efter en historisk och teoretisk genomgång presenteras förslag till förändringar som kan gynna tryggheten och säkerheten i Dalbo En historisk bakgrund till 60-talets bostadsbyggande och förändringsarbeten i socialt utsatta område ges. Den visar att den samhällsekonomiska utvecklingen, tillsammans med det samhällspolitiska klimatet och den nya tekniken under 60-talet fick stark inverkan på vad som byggdes. Erfarenheter från förändrings-arbeten visar att det krävs ett multisektoriellt arbetssätt för att lyckas i de mest utsatta bostadsområdena.

In the forest sector, non-industrial private forest (NIPF) owners commonly interact with numerous stakeholders (e.g. forest managers, timber buyers, harvesting contractors and advisors) for counseling, planning, selling and hiring. Forest management is therefore built and influenced by the relationships between NIPF owners and other stakeholders. In the local context of a Southern Sweden, the Swedish Forest Agency (SFA) and the Southern Forest Owners Association (SÖDRA) are very influential stakeholders in small-scale forest management. Based on qualitative interviews and by means of grounded theory, an analysis of the relationships between NIPF owners and the mentioned organizations was carried out in order to understand the social context at the genesis of forest management decisions.

Den första provisoriska strandskyddslagstiftningen infördes i Sverige 1950, även om man tidigare hade skydd för vissa naturområden för att säkra allmänhetens tillgång. De första lagarna som gav stränderna ett skydd skulle fungera i samspel med allemansrätten som då lyftes fram och fick en ny betydelse i samhället. Den provisoriska strandskyddslagstiftningen ersattes av en permanent några år senare, och har därefter har kompletterats och förändrats. Den största förändringen skedde 1975, då strandskyddet blev generellt och därmed obligatoriskt. Strandskyddslagstiftningen gäller vid alla kuster, sjöar och vattendrag och innebär att inga byggnader, anläggningar eller verksamheter får uppföras inom 100 meter från strandlinjen, både i havet och på land.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate industrial branding, which as a relatively new concept, both for practioners as well as academia, comprises a less explored application of the brand concept. The theoretical background of the study consists of marketing theory concerning the brand concept, and theory concerning industrial marketing. The empirical foundation consists of case studies of four industrial companies, based on interviews with representatives from the companies. All four companies have engaged in activities which they themselves see as industrial branding. Initially, the study sets out to determine the occurence of industrial branding, according to this study?s definition, and continues to tentatively explore the implications of branding in an industrial context.

Att samråda med sakägare och medborgare är sedan flera år en obligatorisk del i kommunal fysisk planläggning, både när det gäller detaljplaner och översiktsplaner. Inte minst har medborgardialog under 2000-talet framhållits som en viktig del i strävan efter den socialt hållbara staden. Att samråda om framtida planer med allmänheten syftar bland annat till att öka insynen i planprocessen, öka legitimiteten i beslutsfattandet samt att förbättra beslutsunderlaget med ytterligare information från de boende på platsen. Enligt aktuell plan- och bygglag är plansamrådet det enda momentet i detaljplaneprocessen där kommunen måste erbjuda allmänheten att delta i diskussionen om planändringarna. På så sätt kan plansamrådet ses som ett minimikrav på den del kommunikativ planering som kommunen är skyldig att tillämpa, däremot är kommunen fri att initiera en utökad dialog med medborgarna.

Our purpose was to investigate when a specific phenomenon is taken out of context and used in a manner not originally intended for. Facebook is meant to be used in the private sphere as a way for individuals to communicate and keep in touch with family, friends and acquaintances. However, Facebook has begun to be used increasingly in the professional context like recruitment. We have through qualitative interviews explored how the respondents, professional recruiters and future job applicants, think about the use of Facebook in a recruitment process. By applying theories dealing with roles and lifestyles we have been able to pinpoint our empirical data.

Web 2.0 is a relatively new concept which has made significant progress on the Internet. More recently, corporations as well have begun to get use of the different types of applications that are assigned to the Web 2.0. Organizations are primarily interested in making use of Web 2.0 in two areas: inside the company to increase efficiency and productivity, and from the organization to the customer to improve revenue and customer satisfaction. We have chosen to take a closer look at this last area, as can be seen as a CRM context. Our interest is to investigate how such a context may change by implementing some kind of Web 2.0 technology.

So called honour based violence is a present problem in Sweden. Although recently there has been a steadily growing political and academic awareness around so called honour based violence, there are still problems in the face to face meeting with the victims. This dissertation contributes to the understanding of these victims. The empirical material is based on five young women's stories about growing up in a context of 'honour' and their experiences from breaking up from this context.  My ambition is letting these stories be heard and told as to lead to an increasing understanding of how these women experience themselves and their surrounding society. The purpose of this dissertation is to illustrate how young women interpret their self in the light of a separation from their families.

Detta examensarbete på kandidatnivå i Fysisk Planering på Blekinge Tekniska Högskola är en studie av översiktsplanering över kustzonen. Syftet med uppsatsen att identifiera svårigheter och möjligheter med kustzonsplanering inom översiktsplaneringen genom att utifrån teorin analysera hur ett antal valda kommuner arbetar med kustzonsplaneringen och dess frågor i respektive översiktsplan med utgångspunkt i frågeställningen som lyder följande: ? Hur behandlas kustzonsplanering i översiktsplaneringen hos kommunerna? ? På vilket sätt tillvaratas relevanta miljömål, riksintressen och lagstiftning i kommunernas kustzonsplanering enligt översiktsplanerna? ? Vilka planeringsfrågor hanteras på översiktlig nivå inom kustzonsplanering? Fallstudien består av en analys av Blekinge Läns fyra kustkommuner Karlskrona kommun, Ronneby kommun, Karlshamns kommun och Sölvesborgs kommun. Analysen utgår från forskningsfrågorna. För att få en bakgrund och ett stöd till fallstudien har ett teorikapitel utarbetats.
