This is a report on the development and implementation of the web shop ?Urballa Ur?, a web application developed by nine students at Linköping university. The report illustrates the methodology and process with intention to answer the question ?How can an online watch store be implemented to increase sales??. During the process the agile method scrum has been used as a working method.

Vi har tillsammans formgivit ett mönster till barn i åldrarna sju till tio år, med textilier som slutprodukt. För att uppnå ett gott resultat krävs det noggrann planering av de olika arbetsprocesserna. Vi har använt oss av totalt sju processer, planering, avsmalning, färger, typsnitt, skisser, mönster och rapportering samt trycktekniker. I formgivningen har vi arbetat med temat svenska skogsdjur och växter, med inriktning mot de norrländska arterna. Färgerna vi har arbetat med har vi valt ur PANTONE Solid uncoated, totalt har vi arbetat med tretton färger.

Under hösten 2008 gjordes ett examensarbete om utvecklingen av luftrenare på ett företag vidnamn AD Air Design AB (AD) beläget i Åkersberga utanför Stockholm. Examensarbetetdelades i två delar där den första delen behandlade dokumentation av en existerande modell.Bakgrunden för det var en licensförsäljning från AD till Humanscale i USA för nyttjandet avDEP (Disposable Electrostatical Precipitators) luftreningsteknik, men Humanscalemisslyckades i sin produktutveckling med tekniken. AD tog därför fram en fungerande modellåt dem men ritningsunderlag saknades. Syftet med att ta fram ritningsunderlaget var förprojektgruppen att fördjupa kunskapen om hur luftreningen fungerade för AD:s maskinerinför examensarbetets del 2.AD:s företagsidé är utveckling av luftrenare med en speciell elektrofilterteknik kallad DEP.Tekniken bygger på det revolutionerade sättet att tillverka en filterkassett av papper till ettelektrofilter där partiklar fångas i filtret när de laddas med hjälp av en coronaström från enborste. Den existerande modellen innehöll denna teknik och dess delar måttades upp.

Symbols in the hands of politicians can be a powerful tool of manipulation. The usage of symbols in speeches or texts can change a person?s will, without him or her ever knowing it.We have compared the usage of symbols in the articles surrounding the ratification of the constitution in 18th century America with that of today?s European Union, to see if any similarities between these two cases exists, and what implications this could have for the future of the EU. We have divided the symbols in both cases into different categories so as to enable us to compare the cases to each other. With the help of Masters Theory and the writings of Benedict Anderson and Murray Edelman we have concluded that there indeed exist some similarities between 18th century America and the EU.

Umeå University 17/6 ? 2014 Pages: 21A thesis was made on Billerudkorsnäs production unit in Karlsborg where lime kiln in the causticising department of chemical recovery plant does not meet the required production. Causticising department is the final step in the chemical recycling unit. There, the filtered green liquor is mixed with lime to recover the cooking chemicals used in the pulp factory. The cooking liquid is called white liquor.

The most suitable method to answer the issues of this study was to do a combined literature- and questionnaire study. The literature part of the study was based on Original Research articles, Review Articles and books with a list of reference literature after each chapter and the purpose was to answer the questions ?What feed items should be given to rabbits in different life stages? and ?Which problems may develop from an inadequate diet?? Two questionnaires were constructed. One was sent by e-mail to small animal veterinary hospitals to be answered anonymously by veterinary nurses. The other was linked to from two internet forums, that with rabbits as their focus.

The aim of this study is to find and highlight the differences and similarities in the strategic communication in two real estate businesses with different proprietaries. In order to achieve the purpose, theories and previous research on public relations, strategic communication, mediatization, framing and new public management has been used. The study was conducted through interviews with two different organizations, Lerstenen who is based in Umeå, and Övikshem who is based in Örnsköldsvik. The analysis and results showed that the key difference between the firms was the spontaneity that influenced the private one, in contrast to the public firm that relied on Solid structures to manage their communication. The results also showed that differences in basis conditions both allowed and hindered the possibilities with the communicative efforts that the two firms could do..

The outcome of the research is that there are some indications that show important factors which are essential when it comes to marketing artists.

Hemp is a versatile plant with many uses that has been around for thousands of years. The plant is highly adaptable andwill cultivate in almost any soil. It has excellent remediation properties and has shown to be relatively consistent when itcomes to crop yields. The aim of this literature survey is to examine how hemp can be used to be considered asustainable energy crop in Sweden through database searches and interviews. Hemps characteristics as an energy cropand its remediation properties is evaluated and compared with other plants that are used in Sweden.

Every year about 210 000 tones dry weight of sewage sludge is produced in Sweden. Most of the sludge is applied to agricultural land, plantsoil and landfill cover. Sewage sludge contains essential nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorus. Nitrogen is limiting growth on Solid ground in Sweden and can therefore be used as fertilizer to increase productivity. In order that the sludge can be spread to forest land it requires first a conversion of sludge to pellets, to make it more manageable.

Därför vill företaget undersöka möjligheterna att utveckla och lansera en ny blodvagga primärt avsedd för den amerikanska marknaden. I detta projekt har systematisk problemlösning används för att strukturera utvecklingen och dess faser. Projektet inleddes med informationsinsamling där konkurrentanalys, intervjuer och observationer gav en bas av kundbehov för produktutvecklingen.

The purpose of this thesis is to create opportunities for an efficient interchange of information between humans and technology, especially for the skilled user, and put the designprincipal for informative structures and features into practice. Informative structures and features in a large number of information items helps the peripheral visual system to automatically capture knowledge through logical patterns.A field experiment was done to evaluate if informative structures and features, implicate efficient human information-processing, even in a small study. The results was ambiguous because the quantitative part of the investigation didn?t show any significant differences, whereas the qualitative showed that people prefer a dynamic document with a high degree of informative structures and features over a dynamic document with a low degree of informative structures and features. Even if this study was inconsistent, probably because to few subjects where used, the implication of the research that?s behind it is Solid.

Holmen Skog AB is an important supplier of conifer pulpwood to the Iggesund Paperboard mill. After logging and transport to the landing by a forwarder, the wood is loaded on trucks for further transport, often by using separate loaders. During this handling process considerable amounts of stone material is sometimes mixed into the pulpwood and this causes problems for the industry. The aim of this study is to identify which part of the chain from forest to pulpmill, that contributes the most to this contamination. Sizes and total volumes of the contaminating stones were also investigated.
