Vågenergi är en nära helt oanvänd förnybar energiresurs med enorm potential och många fördelar jämfört med andra förnybara energikällor. Men havsmiljön är hård och krafterna kan bli mycket stora vilket ställer höga krav på vågkraftverkets konstruktion. Detta har förhindrat ett kommersiellt genombrott för vågkraften.Waves4Power har utvecklat ett vågkraftverk, WaveEL, som består av en flytboj och en vertikal cylinder med vattenkolv. Vattenpelaren i cylindern oscillerar i takt med vågorna och driver vattenkolven. Ett hydraulsystem bromsar vattenkolvens rörelser och utvinner energi ur vågorna.

Saab Aerosystems has a long tradition and a lot of competence in the field of flight simulation. Their ambition to broaden the market horizon has led to a discussion about also selling vehicle simulation solutions, both for military and civilian use.The aim of this thesis is to investigate the driver?s experiences of the accelerations he or she is exposed to whilst driving in rough terrain. The results may be used as a basis for future decisions and can act as a platform for the construction of an effective simulation model.To investigate the driver?s exposure of acceleration, some kind of dynamic simulation is needed.

Företaget som studien utförts på upplever ett problem vid hanteringen av underhållsarbete i fabriken. Processerna för felrapportering och beställning av reservdelar är tidskrävande och involverar arbete från flera olika parter. Merparten av allt underhållsarbete som utförs är av oplanerat slag och ett fungerande uppföljningsarbete för att komma till rätta med de pro-duktionsstörningar som äger rum i processen saknas.Syftet med examensarbetet har varit att skapa underlag för att förbättra företagets effektivitet genom att optimera underhållsarbetet med hjälp av förslag till ett underhållssystem och olika tillvägagångssätt för att effektivisera underhållsarbetet.Under arbetets gång har en underhållsloggbok utformats i Excel. Loggboken används till att logga alla underhållsarbeten som inträffar i produktionen. Dessa arbeten ligger till grund för merparten av de beräkningar som utförts under projektet.Beräkningarna syftade till att kartlägga var i processen flest fel inträffar och av vilken karaktär dessa fel är.

ResuméDenna uppsats handlar om informationssystemet Skola24 och hur användning av systemet sker samt elevernas respektive lärare upplevelser av det. Skola24 är utvecklat av Nova Software och innehåller flera funktioner, denna uppsats har valt att belysa Frånvaro24 och Omdöme24. Skola24 är en satsning i statens 24-timmarsmyndighet och systemets syfte är att minska den ogiltiga frånvaron i grund- och gymnasieskolor, med hjälp av kontroll och dokumentation. Intresse för denna studie uppkom då vi läste en artikel i Sydsvenska Dagbladet (2006), som belyste Skola24 ur ett kontroll- och övervakningsperspektiv. Vårt syfte med uppsatsen är att beskriva hur informationssystemet Skola24 upplevs av lärare och elever samt fokusera på hur eleverna beskriver en påverkan av systemet ur ett integritetsperspektiv.

?Halmstads Fastighets AB? is a local real estate company investing in sustainable development. One problem though is that the domestic waste, particularly the source separation, at the three resident blocks for students? isn´t working very well. This creates inconveniences for people and environment as well as decreasing the impression on the estates.This project has had the ambition to improve the domestic waste and increase the amount of source separation at HFAB´s student hostels.

The purpose of this paper is to study how the wooded hay meadow of the forest district of northeastern Scania is preserved today, and what local history it has, to thereby achieve a better understanding of the dynamics of the landscape and the complex of problems involved in keeping a historical element of the cultural landscape alive. To accomplish this, literature concerning the subject has been studied, experts have been consulted and an example, the old farm Sporrakulla in Östra Göinge municipality, has been studied. The paper states that the wooded hay meadow constitutes an important part of the history of northeastern Scania, where it provided leaf fodder and hay for the farmers keeping cattle. Today, however, only a few wooded hay meadows remain. One of these is the studied example at Sporrakulla, where juridical protection like Natura 2000 and financial support of maintenance like miljöersättningar make sure that the wooded hay meadow will remain.

The electrical grid needs to be changed in the future in order to manage more distributed and renewable generation and also to make it possible for electricity consumers to be more active and aware of their electricity consumption. This future grid is usually referred to as a smart grid. With the transition to a smart grid, new challenges occur. One method to determine those challenges is to perform risk and vulnerability analyses. InStockholm, the new urban district Stockholm Royal Seaport is built.

Syftet med denna förstudie var att hitta en ny arbetsmetod för Argentum Group samt att hitta ett sätt att få in mer testning i det dagliga arbetet. Det primära syftet var att undersöka om detta kunde ske via automatisering av tester samt om det skulle vara lönsamt. Genom intervjuer, en enkät samt observationer på Argentum skapade jag mig en bild av de behov som jag anser fanns och därefter undersökte jag agila metoder som Scrum, RUP, Kanban, Lean Software Development, eXtreme Programming (XP) med flera och fann att Kanban, Scrum samt XP var intressanta för Argentum. Argentum önskade även att få rekommendationer om hur deras testning bör förbättras varav jag utarbetade ett förslag på projektprioriteringar, samt vilka krav dessa prioriteringar ställer på en utvecklare. När det gäller systemtestning bör Argentum börja använda sig av testfall till alla projekt.

The purpose of this study is to first investigate how a group of Syriac women participating in the Syriac/Aramaic Academics Association (SAAF ? Syrianska/Arameiska Akademikerförbundet) at a Swedish university perceive their ethnic identity, and maintain it in the mainstream Swedish society. Furthermore, it considers whether SAAF as an ethnic institution provides an arena for the reproduction of social capital in interaction with the women's families. This study is based on previous research and theories of ethnic identity and its role in the building of social capital within so-called ethnic groups. The method used for this study involves qualitative interviews, to achieve its aims.

AbstractThe purpose of this essay was to determent if the authors? idea to replace a personal trainer with a training program, which is provided by software, is viable and if there is a market for such a product. The method that was used, included eight people who enrolled in a training program which were designed by the authors in Microsoft excel. The programs were based on principals of periodization, and included the phases: anatomic adaptation, hypertrophy, maximum strength and muscle definition. The training program was personal and based on individual goal setting.

De tropiska regnskogarna är några av de mest komplexa och artrikaste ekosystemen i Världen. Stora delar av de naturliga Dipterocarpa regnskogarna har under de senaste decennierna försvunnit helt p.g.a. ändrad markanvändning (oftast jordbruk), eller degraderats till sekundära regnskogar p.g.a. torka, bränder och selektiva avverkningar. Det finns därför behov av rehabilitering för att få tillbaka artrikedomen i skogarna. Syftet med det här kandidatarbetet är att titta på hur överlevnaden hos plantor i ett rehabiliteringsprojekt i en sekundär regnskog påverkas av olika ståndortsfaktorer.

AbstractToday there is an opportunity to reinforce concrete with steel fiber reinforcement. In some cases, completely replace the conventional reinforcement. Replacing conventional mesh reinforcement with steel fiber reinforcement in slabs on ground has shown economic benefits, less crack width and less reinforcement amount.Today there are no Swedish standard for designing steel fiber reinforced concrete, what is there is different international recommendations.In this work, design methods for steel fiber concrete are used according to RILEM and Bekaer Swedish AB's software DRAPRO. For other design methods Eurokod 2 is followed.In this work, the design of slabs on ground that are not exposed by large tension strength been designed. Design of crack-reinforcement and restrictions of crack width have been conducted in three different slabs on ground.The calculations have been performed using only conventional reinforcement and only steel fiber reinforcement, and the results are then compared.The results of the theoretical analysis are summarized in tables that compare the amount of reinforcement, crack width and economic cost.This work showed that the slabs on the ground reinforced with steel fibers provide less crack width with a minor amount of reinforcement.

Common species of freshwater mussels may, like the freshwater pearl mussel (Margaritifera margaritifera) have a drastic decline in number and there is several reasons, like sedimentation, a decline of host fishes, introduction of alien species, nutrition leakages from agriculture and pollutants of medic drugs and poison. Ann Gustavsson made in the year of 2007 a study over rejuventation of freshwater great mussels in nine watersystems and considered that the rejuventation within the populations were all along the line poor. This study orients from her work and points to determine if there is a connection between the poor juventation and pollution of nitrogen and phosphorous from industries and private sanitations. The study was performed with the software program ArcGIS9.2 to take out drainage areas for the concerned habitats and contact was made with the concerned authoritys. When it comes to supervision of private sanitations is it the countys and for industries is it the county administrative board.

Center of rotation and the axis of rotationof a joint are fundamental parameters in motion analysis. However,the ability to create individualized analysis is limited by the lack ofaccuracy when these parameters are calculated.
