Under 2010-2011 genomfördes ett projektarbete hos företaget Bioservo för att undersöka huruvida ett tilltänkt hjälpmedel för droppfot var lämpligt. Droppfot är en relativt vanlig åkomma där den drabbade patienten helt eller delvis saknar förmåga att dorsalflektera, d.v.s. vinkla upp, en eller båda fötterna. Bioservo ville ha svar på vilka krav som ställs på ett sådant hjälpmedel, om det var möjligt att konstruera ett hjälpmedel utefter deras designlösningar samt om det fanns utrymme på marknaden för hjälpmedlet.Denna rapport avser att presentera resultaten av den bakgrundsstudie som genomfördes, den prototyp som byggdes och de resultat som erhölls.Det tilltänkta hjälpmedlet skulle ha aktiv styrning och använda Bioservos patenterade Soft Extra Muscle-system (SEM) som kraftöverföring. SEM-systemet består i tunna vajrar som leds utmed en befintlig kroppsdel och fungerar på samma sätt som kroppens egna senor.

Nowadays, packaging design is seen as a competitive tool and its importance for corporations is becoming increasingly apparent. The rivalry within homogeneous markets puts high demands on differentiation and the ability to create something more than the product itself. With this fundamental question, the soft drink industry has been examined and a case study of the brand Coca-Cola has been performed. The aim is to investigate how packaging design is used as a tool for strengthening a brand and to explore which additional values this contributes. In addition, the study observes the most important factors in the development of packaging design.A theoretical work of reference, consisting primarily of theories related to branding, design development and visual identity, has been developed to support the study.

The harness racing industry has roots hundreds of years back in time and breeders through time have changed the horses to a mix of potential, harmony and speed. Breeding has changed the conditions and created a horse that perform better and better. A risk with high-performance horses is that injuries related to training and racing may occur more often. In training and racing situations, lameness is the most common injury. There are many factors affecting the occurrence of injuries and lameness of the trotter horses, such as how the horse is trained and raced, the surface condition of the racetrack, banking and angle of the curves of the racetrack and how fast injuries are discovered and treated.

Man började skära med vatten i USA för över 30 år sedan. Något senare kom idén att blanda tillabrasiv tillsats i form av sand vilket gjorde det möjligt att skära i hårdare material. Tekniken ärunder ständig utveckling och efterfrågan på möjligheten att vinkla skärhuvudet har på senare årökat.Vid skärning med munstycket och jetstrålen vinkelrät mot bearbetningsytan skapas ett litetvinkelfel vilket medför att snittytan blir konisk. Munstycket kan då vinklas för att kompenseradetta fel, så kallad vinkelkompensering. Munstycket kan också vinklas för fasning av detaljervilket är vanligt i samband med beredning före svetsning, så kallad fasning.

The project has been performed in a close collaboration with Hörsam who works in the field of hearing technology. In a first meeting with the company, the Project group was showed a few existing storage boxes for hearing aids. The company thought they were unnecessarily large with plenty of unused space and wanted a new, smarter solution to be developed.The project began with user studies in which audiologists, maintenance technicians, future users and others were interviewed. The purpose was to obtain their views on today's storage boxes and to find out how well the users maintained their hearing aids. It proved to be a large lack of knowledge regarding the management of hearing aids within the users.

The project ?Investment proposal for grinding station for service work of screw feeders? has been performed during the spring semester 2014 for the course Bachelor?s thesis for degree of  Bachelor of science in machine engineering at Karlstad?s University. The project has been performed in cooperation with Fiber Workshop which is a service department in the company Valmet AB. Valmet AB is a company that develops and manufacture soft paper tissue machines. The screw feeder is a part that is used to feed, and squeeze out the water out of woodchips.

Den temporomandibulära leden (TMJ) är den led som vi använder mest i vår kropp. Vi använder den när vi pratar, tuggar mat och när vi sväljer. TMJ är sammankopplad till närliggande anatomiska strukturer så som cranium, clavikula, atlanto-occipitala leden, samt cervikal och thorkal och påverkas av dålig postural hållning. RDC/TMD är den mest använda protokollet för att klinisk diagnostisera temporomandiblar dysfunktion. Dysfunktion i TMJ är fyra gånger vanligare bland kvinnor än män.

BakgrundBeröring är ett grundläggande behov hos människan genom hela livet. Det är inte ovanligt att palliativa patienter saknar närstående och kan därmed uppleva brist på beröring. Sömnproblem, oro, ångest, smärta och illamående är vanliga symtom som kan drabba den palliativa patienten och dessa kan lindras genom beröring.Palliativ vård har som syfte att lindra och främja patientens livskvalitet i livets slutskede och enligt Virginia Hendersons teori är sjuksköterskans uppgift bland annat att hjälpa individen att utföra åtgärder som leder till en fridfull död. Beröring är ett sätt att hjälpa den palliativa patienten att möta döden fridfullt.SyfteSyftet med studien var att beskriva faktorer som påverkas vid beröring hos den palliativa patienten.MetodEn litteraturöversikt valdes som metod för att sammanställa tidigare forskning inom ämnet. Databaserna Cinahl, Medline och PubMed användes för sökningar vilket resulterade i 16 vetenskapliga artiklar.ResultatStudiens resultat visade att beröringen kunde påverka flera faktorer hos den palliativa patienten.
