Background: The prevalence of dementia increases both in Sweden and in the rest of the world. People with dementia often display some types of behavioral and psychological symptoms. These symptoms include, among other things, aggressiveness, inactivity, activity disturbance, anxiety, hallucinations and depression. The symptoms can create a negative impact of those with dementia, their caregivers and their next of kin. Aim: To describe the effect of non-pharmacological treatments have on the behavioral and psychological symptoms of people with dementia.

The aim of this thesis is to present, investigate and especially to analyse the legal rules that apply in the process of changing of the generation of the ownership of Swedish agriculture and forestry family business. The methods that this study include are: unplanned succession of ownership, i.e. inheritance, and planned succession of ownership, i.e. gift and purchase. The succession method that is the most cost efficient must be established in every single case depending on the situation of the current owners and the successors.

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva personers upplevelse av att leva med ett amputerat ben. 18 vetenskapliga artiklar inom området analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys och resulterade i fem kategorier: att information och support ger framtidstro, att sörja en förlorad kroppsdel, att känna ständig smärta som är svår att prata om, att vid protesanvändning känna oro, begränsning och rädsla för beroende samt att känna sig oattraktiv och obekväm i intima situationer. En benamputation upplevdes av personer som förkrossande och gav en känsla av att livet var över. Denna känsla förstärktes ytterligare vid brist på information och stöd. Förlusten av en kroppsdel ledde till en sorg som kunde jämföras med sorgen efter en kär vän.

Today's planning strategy, densification of cities, makes it difficult for municipal authorities to find spaces to build preschools and daycare centers on. The Planning and Building Act , Chapter 8, § 9 states that " if the site should be developed with buildings that contain one or more dwellings or premises for after-school , preschool, school or other activities, it should be on the property or near it, enough free space which is suitable for play and being outdoors. " Each municipality has to define the expression enough free space and a number of municipalities have established guidelines for preschool and daycare centers concerning dimensions. The guidelines measure the number of square meters of free space per child with the aim of contributing to a qualitative environment. But the size is just one quality and the issue is how other non-quantifiable qualities are taken into account in the planning process. The paper compares three municipalities, Gothenburg, Malmö and Lund.

Bland idrottare idag är återhämtning inte ansedd att vara en av de viktigaste beståndsdelarna i deras träning. För en optimal prestationsutveckling och framgång krävs optimal träningsplanering samt att som idrottare balansera träningsbelastningen med tillräcklig och effektiv återhämtning. Inom idrotten nämns återhämtning som en psykosociofysiologisk process vilket visar på att för att uppnå optimal återhämtning behöver idrottaren återhämta sig ur ett helhetsperspektiv. Syftet med studien är att kartlägga om och i sådant fall hur en grupp svenska friidrottare, 18 år och äldre, återhämtar sig under en specifik träningsperiod. Undersökning skedde genom en webbaserad enkät som bestod av både öppna och fasta frågor.

Abstract:This thesis work has been conducted at the Real Estate Department in Halmstad.The department consists of a construction/project management-unit and an operation/management-unit.Like many other towns in Sweden, Halmstad has had a long lasting problem with indoor environment. Not at least at their preschools.Today they are constructing from current building regulations. They have learned from negative experiences which have occurred in the indoor environment in older buildings.Focus is now on healthy materials, like low emission value, energy efficiency and optimization of the building, but still with soft parameters such as cleaning, interior and choice of materials.The fixtures is provides by the real estate department and the furnishings are provides by the children and youth administration. Together they are trying to provide a great indoor environment.I have, together with the real estate department and the children and youth administration of Halmstad, investigated how to provide a good indoor environment in the preschools with small funds.In my thesis there is one theoretical part with a questionnaire survey of how the preschool staff is experiencing their indoor environment to determine where the problems often start. And a practical part with measurements to try and come down to a result that analysis the cause of the problems and also to make sure that the ventilation systems are fulfilling projected values.The measurements and the questionnaire surveys was made at Lokes preschool in Frösakull, Askens preschool in Oskarström and Gullbrandstorps preschool.There were some differences between the staff-responses at the three different preschools.At Askens preschool they feel that the premises are cleaned poorly.At Gullbrandstorps preschool they feel that the indoor-air is bad because they can´t open the windows.

Inomomvårdnaden kan taktil beröring användas som ett komplement till läkemedelsbehandling föratt lindra patienters olika fysiska och psykiska obehag såsom lindring av smärta, ångest, orooch illamående.

In this project I have created a design for the delivery rooms of Swedish hospitals with the psychological aspects ofbirthgiving in focus. This is something that I think the delivery rooms lack and so far it has been the midwifes job to,without any tools, give the women in labor the mental support and encouragement they need.My goal was to give the midwifes a tool to work with when it comes to encouragement, something helping themhelping the woman to feel safe and relaxed, strengthened, informed and in control of the situation.I choose to focus on the difficulties measuring the physical work the woman in labour had done and what was leftof the labour. I wanted to visualize the process of the birth, allowing the woman to see and being able to focus onwhere during the labour she is, how far she has left and also being strengthened by the amount of work already managed.Further I wanted to make the woman feel invited to take control over the birth and the room in which she isin labour. I wanted her to be able ? if she wanted ? to make her own settings of the mood in the room, deciding forherself if she wanted a more relaxed environment or perhaps a more energetic.

AimThe aim of this study is to give a picture of how the brand of Bollnäs GIF apprehends according to the sports club, the municipality of Bollnäs, the Swedish Bandy Association and the local business owners. Following questions has been used: How does the brand of Bollnäs GIF apprehend? Which existing soft value has the brand? What does the association contribute for the community, for local business owners and for the local development? How can the association develop the brand best in the future?MethodThe study is based upon ten interviews with persons representing organization that is concerned. These are: Bollnäs GIF, the municipality of Bollnäs, the Swedish Bandy Association and local business owners. I have analyzed the results compared to selected brand theories.ResultsThe existing value of the sports club-brand is the history and tradition that lies within the brand and the communion and the commitment the sports club creates in the Bollnäs.

Human Resources (en benämning för personalarbetet) är ett yrke som idag blir allt populärare. Trots detta visar statistik att en majoritet av kvinnor både studerar och arbetar med personalfrågor. Studien har därför som syfte att undersöka varför Human Resources branschen har en ojämn könsfördelning. Detta görs genom en historisk inblick i branschens utveckling i relation till samhällets förändringar, där en analys av texter ger en bild av dagens personalarbete. De teoretiska utgångspunkterna består dels av socialkonstruktivism och dels av begreppen mjuk och hård Human Resources Management.

This paper aims to explore the phenomenon urban wind energy, its visual effect on built environment and the factors that affect the opinion towards new elements in the city. A place study of the city Gävle serves as a complement to the theoretical part of the paper. The theoretical discussion opens with an account for the technical and economical conditions of urban wind energy. It presents the technical basics, different types of turbines and a discussion occurring wind related techniques in built environment. Today, the knowledge of how the wind moves and acts in the rural landscape is quite good.

The purpose of this thesis is to study how swedishness is constructed and narrated in two Swedish documentary series that picture the Swedish participation in the international ISAF mission in Afghanistan. The main focus lies on how the Swedish soldier as such is portrayed, on which values, characteristics and qualities that they are said to embody and how these are linked to notions of swedishness, particularly the strong historical narrative, formed during the second half of the twentieth century, that defines Sweden as a peaceful, neutral and humanitarian state, with peaceful, enlightened and democratically minded citizens. Theoretically it draws on the concept of metanarrative to explain how ideas of shared national origin translates in to a broad organizing discourse, that defines, interprets and communicates notions of what it means to be a Swede and what is needed to make claims on swedishness. Another concept, that of national bodyscape, is also used to further define and explain how ideas of nationality are embodied and take the form of specific characteristics and  personal qualities. The meaning-making in these two series makes use of the above mentioned definition of swedishness as defined by humanitarian concerns, democratic ideals and moral superiority to construct an image of the Swedish soldiers as on the one hand soft, humanitarians, who are needed in Afghanistan because of their especially strong sense of justice and moral, and, on the other, as tough soldiers, who are able to participate in every aspect of the war as fighters.

Vad har eleverna i årskurs två på de två olika gymnasieskolorna i Dalarna för kunskaper i hälsa?MetodUndersökningen utgår ifrån en textgenomgång av de konkretiserade betygskriterierna i ämnet idrott och hälsa A på en gymnasieskola och ett idrottsgymnasium i Dalarna. Intervju undersökning om två lärares bedrivna hälsoundervisning i ämnet idrott och hälsa A på de två gymnasieskolorna i Dalarna har genomförts. Slutligen ingår ett kunskapsprov i hälsa på två klasser om elevers kunskaper i hälsa utifrån de konkretiserade betygskriterierna i ämnet idrott och hälsa A på de två gymnasieskolorna. Undersökningen är både kvalitativ och kvantitativ.ResultatBegreppet hälsa i de konkretiserade betygskriterierna i ämnet idrott och hälsa A består av faktorer som påverkar hälsan positivt och negativt, kostens betydelse, ergonomi, avspänning, avslappning, livsstil, livsmiljö, hälsa för livskvalitet samt drogers påverkan.

Sammanfattning: Bakgrund: Bröstcancer är den vanligaste cancerformen bland kvinnor och står för ungefär 30 procent av alla cancerfall. Mastektomi är ett av behandlingsalternativen där hela bröstkörteln tas bort. I Sverige genomgår ungefär hälften av alla kvinnor med bröstcancer en mastektomi. Livskvalitet är ett subjektivt och flerdimensionellt begrepp som innefattar både psykiska, fysiska och sociala aspekter av livet. Då cancer drabbar hela människan blir livskvalitetsbegreppet med flerdimensionell karaktär användbar inom cancervården.
