Through teaching, pupils are given the opportunity based on their personal experiences and current events to express and consider their views in relation to others who hold different views. As a result, pupils should be encouraged to get involved and participate in an open exchange of views on societal issues (Skolverket, 2011d, s. 189). To assess pupils orally in the subject of civics in primary education is an unexplored field, which makes this field relevant to explore. There are numerous researchers? who with the help of deliberative methods, formative feedback, formative assessment and studies regarding classroom climates whom all speak positive about using discussion/dialogue in education to upraise and develop learning among pupils.

Denna uppsats utreder hur Sydsvenskan, Svenska Dagbladet och Aftonbladet mellan den 1 januari 2007 och den 31 december 2007 i sammanlagt 152 artiklar framställde problematiken kring fildelning. Utredningen görs genom att lyfta fram de motsättningar som finns i medierapporteringen av fildelning.En kvantitativ innehållsanalys utgör grunden för den kvalitativa studien. I den kvalitativa analysen använder vi oss i huvudsak av teorier som berör mediepåverkan och etik. Till exempel använder vi oss av Maxwell McCombs teori om mediernas dagordningsfunktion och Göran Collstes beskrivningar av konsekvensetiska teorier. Resultaten pekar på att det existerar en osäkerhet i de studerade tidningarna kring hur man ska förhålla sig i fildelningsdebatten.

User education is an important aspect of university libraries' service to its users. This Masters' Thesis is about online user education. The aim of this study is to analyse five Swedish online user courses in relation to information literacy and learning theory. The web-sites were explored through textual analyses to find how concepts of information literacy and learning theory are expressed. The theoretical framework is based on Carol C Kuhlthau's three levels of user education, Paul Ramsden's three theories of teaching in higher education and Christine Bruce's different aspects of information literacy.

Detta examensarbete ifrågasätter om motion och hälsa kan sägas vara en social förmån. Avsikten har varit att undersöka barns attityd, motionsvanor och fritidssysselsättning med avseende på skillnader i deras boende. Min litteraturgenomgång omfattar såväl människors behov av motion i det dagliga livet som samhällets direktiv beträffande fysisk fostran uttryckt i tidigare och gällande läroplaner.För att få svar på mina uppställda frågor har jag genomfört en enkät på tre skolor som ligger i olika socialt ansedda områden. Min enkätundersökning är inte stor nog för att kunna ge några generaliserbara svar. Men vad jag kan se är tendenser som överensstämmer med tidigare forskning kring idrott och sociala skillnader.Forskarna slår larm om en allt sämre hälsa medan politikerna ser till att skära ned på idrotten..

The debate in the media on a new Swedish sex education movie sparked our interest in this study. The twenty-eight minutes long movie ?Sex on the map? is the first of it?s kind in twenty-five years. It is also part of a bigger sex educational project that contains, apart from the movie, a book about sex education, a documentary and a teachers guide. The project is a co-production between the Swedish Educational Broadcasting Company (UR) and the Swedish Association for Sexuality Education (RFSU).We were interested in how teachers received information about the project, and what their attitudes were towards it.

Det här är en kvalitativ studie om medarbetarskap som har genomförts på specialförlossningen på Östra sjukhuset i Göteborg. För att genomföra studien har sammanlagt sju kvalitativa intervjuer genomförts, sex med medarbetare och en med vårdenhetschefen. Metoden för att genomföra studien har utgått ifrån hermeneutiken, och jag har intagit ett interpretativt/konstruktionistiskt förhållningssätt till studien.Syftet med studien är att analysera och få kunskap kring hur intervjupersonerna på den undersökta avdelningen upplever sitt medarbetarskap, med betoning på ansvar, påverkan och delaktighet samt kompetensutveckling. Jag vill också undersöka hur chefen på avdelningen kan ge förutsättningar för ett aktivt medarbetarskap.Resultatet karakteriseras av olikheter i synsätt. I en diskussion om ansvar så finns en stark koppling till patientansvar.

I uppsatsen undersöks förutsättningar och möjligheter för att genom Öresund Networks medlemsnätverk kommunicera varumärket Öresund till externa målgrupper. Nätverksmedlemmars uppfattningar och behov analyseras utifrån varumärkes- och nätverksteori. Det empiriska material som legat till grund för analysen har samlats in med kvalitativa intervjuer.Resultaten visar att varumärket har en positiv image hos nätverksmedlemmarna och att det finns goda förutsättningar för att kommunicera varumärket genom nätverket. Nätverket utnyttjas dock inte till sin fulla potential och bör anpassas efter nätverksmedlemmarnas behov. Engagemanget för varumärket måste också höjas för att skapa ett starkt varumärke vilket är en förutsättning för att nätverksmedlemmarna ska kommunicera varumärket.

This thesis is based on the conception that class is relevant. The thesis discussesclass relevance and consciousness of class amongst personal at the department ofsocial welfare in Lund.I have studied different theories of class from Karl Marx, Max Weber and PierreBourdieu. The study´s empirical survey is based on interviews with the personalat the department of social welfare in Lund. Then I have applied their view onclass on models based on the theories mentioned above.Out of my analysis I can draw the conclusion that the consciousness of class ishigh and that the applied models matches the interviewed personal. An importantaspect is that class perspective is bound to class.

This thesis has the purpose of developing a normative theoretical framework based on different political philosophers and scientists view on deliberative democratic theory, discourse ethics and a modified norm of citizenship. This framework is supposed to contain the ideal communicative situation for people seeking asylum. Hence, the thesis argues that political influence is best practised through communicative rights, and that people seeking asylum are in title to such rights. We conclude that the standards needed to be met in order to reach the ideal are: translators, translated information, arenas for- or channels of communication, language education, and deliberative education. Once the framework is established we focus our interest on the Swedish state.

The purpose of this study was to examine how young people who have chosen not to drink alcohol experience themselves and their surroundings. The aim was to find out what role temperance plays in their perceived identity. I also wanted to find out how they experienced the views of them, temperance and the temperance movement in their surroundings. This paper was part of the ongoing cooperation between the Swedish Civil Aviation Authority and the Department of Psychology at Lund University. The purpose of this study was to develop a self-report measure regarding human factors, for the air traffic controllers to fill out before they start their working shift. This in order to aid the team leaders in their judgment regarding the air traffic controller's ability to perform at the right safety level. The self-report measure would also serve as an aid for the air traffic controllers who have a responsibility regarding their own performance. If successful this self-report measure would make it easier for the air traffic controllers to be alert regarding certain factors that can have a large impact on their performance.

This essay presents a picture of swedish reggae listeners and how their love of music give meaning to their lives and unite them in a sub-culture. Based on interviews with six young men about their involvement in reggae, it also investigates the relationship between music and identity, or more clearly; how identity is expressed through music. Furthermore, I discuss the notion of taste according to Bourdieu, and argue against his statement that taste in music affirms the class and social background of an individual. Results from my empirical data have indicated that reggae music is difficult to associate to a distinct lifestyle, which inclines me to argue that it has managed to transcend phenomena such as ethnicity, class and cultural affiliation..
