The purpose with this essay is to look at how categories of "us" and "them" are created, reproduced and categorised. The areas of politics and media are in focus, though they are powerful and influential actors in generating discourses.The method is qualitative analyses of current research and analyses of discourses, contexts and resources from an intersectional perspective. Intersectionality presents a theoretical tool for complex understandings of power as it takes its point of departure in an understanding of power as multidimensional and one where gender, ethnicity and class are constitutive and bearing principals. Intersectional analyses aim to understand how these dimensions are created and changed in relation to each other and how they interact with specific gender orders in specific contexts.The analyse shows that "immigrants" are in a subordinate position compared to "Swedish" when it comes to resources, contexts and discourses. The analyse indicates the relation of power between "us" and "them", where "us" have the power and with that preferential right of interpretation in discourses, contexts and resources.

The intension of this study is to investigate the interaction between teachers and social workers in two diffrent countys. The study is focused on how teachers act upon suspicions when there are children at risk and what kind of support the teacher gets from social workers. Another importent question is if the teachers know what kind of rules regarding to confidentiality and if it would be better for the pupils if there were no confidentiality.To get answers to my questions, i have interviewed teachers and social workers in both countys.In this study I assume that the power has three dimensions and that there are four levels of interaction.Due to the law about confidentiality the social worker has the power over the teachers. Because the law about confidentiality it is difficult for teachers and social workers to interact.If the teacher want help from social services, she or he must call the social worker because the social worker will not call the teacher. If the social worker want to help the teacher and give her advice, the social worker can do that without breaking confidentiality.

This study has a double purpose. First, it explores and maps out the use of quantitative key indicators in social performance reporting within a microfinance portfolio. This was done on behalf of Storebrand Asset Management, who would like to aggregate and report the social results of their microfinance investments to their customers. The study concludes that the extent of social reporting and types of indicators used varies, meaning that it is hard to aggregate data for use in further reporting. Thus, the work towards the goal of social reporting has only just begun.

Fonologisk medvetenhet, ordavkodningsförmåga, bokstavskunskap och arbetsminneskapacitet har visats predicera den tidiga läsförmågan. Syftet med föreliggande studie var att undersöka hur dessa olika kognitiva förmågor tillsammans förklarar läsförståelse hos barn i första klass. Läsförståelse, ordavkodning, fonologisk medvetenhet, bokstavskunskap samt arbetsminne undersöktes hos 36 elever i årskurs ett med normal hörsel och svenska som modersmål. Resultatet visar att ordavkodning och fonologisk medvetenhet tillsammans förklarar 62 % av variansen i läsförståelsen hos deltagarna. Syftet med uppsatsen är att studera de två huvudkaraktärerna i Marie Lus Legendtrilogi för att undersöka om och i så fall hur deras egenskaper är formade av deras klass- och könstillhörighet, vad som möjliggör eller orsakar deras klassresor samt hur de påverkas av att röra sig mellan olika samhällsklasser. Studiens teoretiska utgångspunkt är att det inte enbart går att analysera en maktordning utan att även ta hänsyn till andra maktordningar.Jag har utgått ifrån Maria Nikolajevas uppställning av stereotypt manliga och kvinnliga egenskaper, Roberta Seelinger Trites teorier om hur makt fungerar både förtryckande och frigörande för subjektet, samt Sanna Lehtonens teorier om normbildning kring klass som identitetskategori.I uppsatsen kommer jag fram till att karaktärernas egenskaper är mer kopplade till deras klass, och mindre till deras kön. Flickan från överklassen sätter större värde på sig själv, medan pojken från underklassen värderar sig själv lägre. The purpose of this thesis is to examine how social workers perceive the concept of knowledge within social services, particularly within children and youth services. Our goal is also to study the employer's expectations and demands on graduate social workers. The main questions we address in this thesis are; What knowledge is seen as useful by employers and graduate social workers working in social welfare offices? To what extent does university education bring useful knowledge to the work being done by social workers? What practical knowledge is there in the workplace for social workers to learn? When recruiting, what expectations does the employer have of graduate social workers? What challenges are there with recruiting a graduate social worker?We have interviewed six social workers and four employers in the social childcare division in different municipalities in Skåne region, Sweden. We have used epistemology in our analysis.

Syftet med denna studie har varit att beskriva, analysera och diskutera tre barnböcker som är vanligt förekommande i den förskola som ingår i studien. Utifrån ett intersektionellt perspektiv undersöks och tolkas hur makt konstrueras genom att samverka mellan olika identitetskategorier som kön, ålder, klass, etnicitet och funktionsnedsättning i den valda barnlitteraturen. Detta har även gjorts för att se ifall makt tillskrivs en mångfald av karaktärer, eller ifall makt tillskrivs karaktärer som följer stereotypa könsmönster. Sedan har textanalysen analyserats utifrån ett utvecklingspsykologiskt perspektiv, för att se vilken inverkan den valda barnlitteraturen kan ha på förskolebarns könssocialisation och identitetsskapande. Studien visar att makt tillskrivs karaktärer som både följer och utmanar stereotypa könsmönster i dessa barnböcker.

AbstractThe aim off this study is to research social workers´ knowledge, use, risks and possibilities of social media in their work with clients. Because today the society is using social media networks in daily life and social media has become a tool in social work as well. How does social media and social work cooperate? And how does social media effect social workers? For example the website Facebook has grown huge and many people use it everyday. Where is the line between work and private life? To reach this knowledge in this study, qualitative interviews have been done with six social workers that work with children, youths and families.

This B.Sc. Thesis examines how Swedish Large Cap companies communicate CSR in social media. We describe the current state of CSR communication in four different social media channels, Twitter, Youtube, Facebook, and blogs. This research, supported by interviews with stakeholders and a quantitative survey, analyses the potential risks and benefits from communicating CSR via social media and provides concrete advice on the development of a CSR communication strategy for social media. Although some benefits have been realized, many companies have failed to truly reap the potential benefits from an effective social media strategy for CSR.

The main purpose of this study was to examine own and social influence on perfectionismwith individual athletes. The participants (n= 96) of this study represented ten different sportsand their ages was between 15 and 44. An interview with four of the participant wasconducted. The instruments used for this study was the Positive and Negative PerfectionismScale (Terry-Short et al., 1995) and for the interviews questions was based on own and socialinfluence. The results showed that there was a relationship between positive perfectionismand own influence, negative perfectionism and own influence, negative perfectionism andsocial influence.

Today the school is a given place for preventing social problems. The school struggles continuously to live up to the expectations of balancing preventive social work with pedagogy in a satisfactory way.The purpose of this essay is to get a picture of priorities of social work in school. I want to know what it is that affects and controls the principal's decision about what kind of social project they will accept and be a part of.This essay shows that only one of the eleven principals interviewed apply projects based on evidence when they decide about participation in a social project. Instead, the decisions are based on references from other schools. The reason why the principals do not base their judgement on projects which are based on evidence is because they consider the search for results too time consuming.When there is no requirement that a certain part of the social work in a school must be based on evidence, it leads to the children taking part in different social projects which we can not guarantee are good for them.One solution can be to guide the principals through a national social teachingplan, which can assure that social work based on evidence are being applied in the municipality schools as well as the independent schools..

Studien syftar till att undersöka problemlösningsprocessen då elever arbetar i grupp med matematiska problem samt uppmärksamma de uttrycksformer som används. En jämförelse mellan skolår fem och skolår nio görs för att upptäcka betydelsefulla skillnader. Metoderna som använts är kvalitativa i form av observation och intervju. Två grupper från respektive skolår har studerats, där varje grupp bestod av tre elever. Resultatet visar att grupperna i klass 9 är mer resultatinriktade och uppvisar en enkelriktad problemlösningsprocess, samtidigt som grupperna i klass 5 vid flertalet gånger går tillbaka i problemlösningsprocessen och vågar göra kvalificerade gissningar.

This thesis investigates and analyses the social media strategy of eight companies. How the companies measure and evaluate their activity and investments in social media channels in general, and Facebook in particular is studied through qualitative interviews. The findings are then compared and analysed. Findings indicate that companies' social media presences to a large extent are dependent on individual employees with high levels of interest for the area and that companies that have integrated social media into their others operations see more value from their efforts..
