AbstractThis research is about how some swedish teachers in high school choose literature in schools. The purpose is to underline the reasons for how some teachers think about selection, canon, classic and contemporary literature. Two survey methods were used to find the answers, wich consisted of interviews and questionnaires. The letter methods was used to obtain informations about student´s views on literature.Previous research shows that there are different opinions in what kind of literature the pupils should read in school. The results of literature, questionnaires and interviews also showed that the underlying reasons for the choice of literature, varied among those interviewed further forward ofthe students also prefer to read books during lessons, and that they prefer reading books by popular contemporary writers..

This essay presents a business plan for the idea of a Pet Shop in Stockholm. The initial purpose of the essay was to investigate weather the company would be financially profitable or not. During the process we encountered problems and pitfalls that we felt contributed to the fact that our business idea is yet not realized. Therefore the second purpose of describing the process that an entrepreneur goes through when starting a new business came about. Besides the business plan for Pet Shop we present a selection of the theories that we found relevant for our situation, among others behaviour of entrepreneurial teams, network theory and execution.

Uppsatsens syfte är att studera två antologier, Dikt och tanke I-III från 1967 och DialogKlassikerna och Dialog 1900-talet från 2000 för att ta reda på om det skett någon förändringvad gäller urvalet. Jag gör en kvantitativ översikt av utvalda antologier, jämför deras innehåll samttittar på tidigare forskning i ämnet. I uppsatsen använder jag mig av fyrafrågeställningar/påståenden. Dessa är: Vad lägger antologiförfattarna vikten vid i sina förord?Hur presenteras de litterära epokerna i respektive antologi? Vilka kvinnliga författare finnsmed i Dikt och tanke respektive Dialog? Hur stor skillnad är det mellan Lgy 65 och Kursplani svenska? Jag fördjupar mig även i den kanondebatt som pågick 2006 och tittar närmare pådefinitionen av en litterär kanon och om gymnasiet skulle vara betjänt av en sådan.Skillnaden vad gäller urval skiljer sig till stor del.

The aim with this study is to illustrate the underlying causes of students? difficulties in Mathematics from a teacher perspective. The approach that has been used through this study is qualitative, method wise interviews were used. The selection for the study consists of five teachers with many years? experience in the subject of Mathematics.

This paper deals with knives excavated in the Birka Garrison between 1997 and 2004, in a selection of 100 knives out of approximately 400. The aim is to measure and analyze the material to find out if certain elements in design points to a specific craft. Two groups of knifeblades can be seen, one with a convex bevel and one with a flat bevel of the blade. Considering osteological evidence, historical sources, and the main suitabillity of the knives, it is concluded that some of the flat beveled knives may have been used for crafting leather and fur, whereas the convex beveled knives are of an allround type..

The scope of this master thesis is the scientific publishing at Uppsala University's Faculty of Arts. The aim of the thesis is to investigate publication patterns and publishing strategies. To investigate how the publication patterns of the faculty is structured and what priorities and considerations the researchers have regarding scientific publishing. Furthermore, the aim is to compare these publishing strategies and publication patterns to incentives and selection principles of the bibliometric indicators in the performance based research funding systems on the national and local scale.The thesis is based on the theories of disciplinary differences developed by Richard Whitley and Tony Becher and Paul R. Trowler. These theories suggest a framework based on organizational and sociological perspectives, that offers ways to explain differences in publication patterns between different scientific fields.The study is based on two empirical studies of the faculty.

Syftet med detta examensarbete har varit att utveckla beredningsarbetet av infrastrukturbehov i Bodens Garnison. Examensarbetet bestod i att analysera befintliga rutiner och föreslå utvecklade rutin-och metodbeskrivningar för rangordning och urval av infrastrukturbehov. With the introduction of the Swedish Code for Corporate Governance in December 2004, most companies listed on the major Swedish stock exchanges were required to have a nomination committee responsible for, among other things, evaluating the incumbent board and nominating new candidates. This master thesis aims at analyzing the effects of these nomination committees on institutional investors in their corporate governance, through a qualitative study of 13 interviews. We have found that institutional investors have become more active through their participation in nomination committees and that they have gained more influence over the companies in which they own shares. We believe that in reality nomination committees have more influence over the selection of the board than was intended when the Swedish Code was written..

Inledning: Hörapparatsutprovning är en stor del av audiologisk rehabilitering. Flera intresseorganisationer inom hörselområdet har dock påtalat att det förekommer skillnader rörande utbildningsnivån hos hörselvårdpersonal inom Europa samt att tillhandahållen hörselvård i vissa fall är bristande.Syfte: Att jämföra hörapparatsutprovningsprocessen i ett urval av Europeiska länder. Fokus ligger på att belysa vilka yrkesgrupper som är involverade i hörseldiagnostik och hörapparatsutprovning samt vilken utbildningsnivå dessa har. Utöver detta kommer ländernas finansiering av hörapparater undersökas. Eventuella likheter och skillnader mellan länderna kommer sedan diskuteras ur ett patient perspektiv.Metod: En integrativ litteraturstudie har genomförts.Resultat: En jämförande beskrivning av de yrkesgrupper som patienter träffar under hörapparatsutprovningsprocessen i de studerade länderna samt vad hörapparaterna där kostar patienterna.

This paper is a study of female liminal developments in a selection of Grimm's fairy tales using van Gennep?s and Lincoln?s theoretical bases. An inductive technique has been used to analyze the results according to the theoretical agendas. To my help I have used Swedish translations of the Grimms? fairy tales from 1883, 1946, 2003 and 2007.The study shows that the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm fairy tales display the transition rituals identified by Van Gennep and Lincoln.

The purpose of this thesis is to study the difference in value generation and its drivers between leveraged buyouts and listed companies. The primary objective is to observe if differences exist. A secondary objective is to understand the differences and attempt to provide an explanation based on earlier research on Private Equity. A selection of large Swedish LBO-transactions, carried out between 1998 and 2012, are analyzed and their value generation drivers subject to comparison with a weighted index of companies listed on the Nasdaq OMX Stockholm. A clear difference in value creation is observed, both in size and composition.
