This bachelor thesis examines the library as a public sphere in the notion of Jürgen Habermas? theory from 1962. The questions asked concerns how the public sphere is discussed in relation to Swedish public libraries today in our late modern society. The analyzed material consists of the Swedish Cultural Bill of 2009 and five qualitative interviews with librarians. The material is analyzed with two of the four social actions presented by the sociologist Maw Weber: value-rational and instrumental.

AbstractThe aim of the study was to examine how a school team works with formative assessment in compulsory school for pupils with intellectual disabilities. The study had a particular focus on formative assessment in relation to pupils with moderate and severe intellectual disabilities. Since there is a lack of research within the field of formative assessment and pupils with moderate and severe disabilities this study may contribute to new knowledge in this field. A sociocultural perspective has been used as a theoretical framework. A central concept in the sociocultural perspective is that people develop knowledge in interaction with other people and that communication and language is important.  The methodical framework was inspired by an ethnographic approach and the empirical material was concocted by participatory observations and by interviews.

AbstractAim: The aim of this essay has been to study how the Swedish church has created the image of their religious activity through media. This has been by studying the three commercial campaigns launched by the Swedish church during the years 2000, 2001 and 2003. Questions asked are: How has the Swedish church chosen to profile it self? Which discourses can be recognized in the campaigns? Which messages has been communicated through the campaigns? How has these discourses created the image of the Swedish church?Method: The methodological framework is critical discourse analysis inspired by Norman Faircloughs? three-dimensional model. Thirteen images all part of the campaigns are analysed using a semiotic method.

You now have the possibility to communicate by the phone or through the Internet to get information about the train you want to take. Development in mobile technology gives us new possibilities to communication. We want to find out whatever SMS would be a suitable approach to inform passengers about delays. The problem formulation is ?If the technology is available to inform the passengers about delays in an more effective way than today, then why not use it? The ?Kustpilen? that operates in Blekinge and Skåne is the case for our study.

Sammanfattning/Abstract Syftet med denna studie har varit att undersöka om klassrumsobservationer med efterföljande diskussioner i arbetslagen kan vara en metod som leder till ett ökat kollegialt lärande. Att vi lär oss i samspel med varandra är inga nya tankar. Det hävdade den ryske utvecklingspsykologen Lev Vygotskij redan på 1920-talet då han lanserade sin teori om hur vi lär oss. I hans sociokulturella perspektiv på lärande är just interaktion en av hörnstenarna. Abstract: The purpose of this thesis is to study the importance of having a website for traditional service companies as well as the factors that might influence its importance. This is done by answering three research questions that all contribute to the answer of the main purpose. A qualitative study has been performed including eight interviews with respondents from eight different service companies presenting four different types of businesses. The empirical findings of the study are analyzed with the help of the theoretical frame of references in order to identify the most interesting conclusions. The results of the thesis state that the main purpose of the website among the studied companies is to rationalize and save costs.

AbstractThe aim of this study was to highlight who represents elderly immigrants and apply the theory of social exclusion. We chose channels for representation that we found important in relation to this group. The first part is a study of available litterature of the subject. We found three main arenas: participation in elections, participation in associations and clubs and representation in political institutions. The findings showed a democratic deficit among elderly immigrants, which gave an indication of social exclusion from the political arena and from participation in associations.For the second part we decided to concentrate on the arena of participation in associations and clubs that represent the elderly and/or immigrants.

Hur yttrar sig eventuell motsättning mellan individuellt självförverkligande kontra att anpassa sig till en annan människa?3.

Abstract Syftet med det här arbetet är att undersöka och få kunskap om hur pedagoger på förskolan arbetar med språkutveckling hos flerspråkiga barn. Jag vill undersöka pedagogernas förhållningssätt till flerspråkigheten och vilka resurser de har för att stimulera språk-och identitetsutveckling hos flerspråkiga barn. Får att ta reda på pedagogernas uppfattningar och få in deras svar genomfördes kvalitativa intervjuer med pedagogerna inom förskolan. Resultatet med hänsyn till pedagogernas svar och uppfattningar visade att det finns olika fakta som påverkar språkutveckling hos flerspråkiga barn, bland annat familjen och miljöns betydelse i den processen. Familjen och hemmamiljön påverkar flerspråkiga barns modersmålutveckling.
