Background: Low back pain (LBP) is a common disorder in the western world. A majority of those afflicted by a first acute episode is at high risk of developing sub-acute or persistent symptoms. Persistent LBP can be caused by pathological changes in the discs and disturbed neuromuscular activation, which can cause hypotrophy of the extensors strong type-2 muscle fibres. Deadlift (DL) is an exercise that may correct all these pathological transformations. Aim: To investigate the effect of DL-training on patients with persistent LBP.

This master thesis has been a product realization process. Having BRIO:s walking cart as thestaring point the purpose was to further develop the principle of such products and at the sametime broaden their sector of use. The final result is to be regarded as a complete solutionmeant as a foundation for further development at the BRIO Company. The product aims tosatisfy the demands and needs of the target group called theon the go parent. Trends, qualityand purchase power are features that characterize this particular target group.The project resulted in a walking stool namedBRIO Circus after its source of inspiration.

Already in 1988, different levels of participation in the election between different districts of big cities in Sweden were noticed. The problem with low political participation in specific areas has almost always been theoretically explained through an individual perspective. This study is therefore focusing on the problem from a contextual perspective. The hypothesis for the study is as follows, in the case of Malmö the level of participation in elections are affected by social environment in which segregation will be the single highest factor. The dependent variable, participation in the election was tested by the independent variables representing social environment; origin, education, gainfully employed and income.

?Statistical Process Control? har för syfte att genom av statistiska metoder, mäta och analysera variation för att upptäcka särskilda orsaker till variation i processen och sedan genom eliminering av de orsakerna, förbättra processens kapabilitet.Inom SPC finns några begrepp som kräver lite förståelse, till exempel olika typer av variation, skapandet av styrdiagram och tolkning av detsamma för att hitta särskilda variationer. Till författarens kännedom finns idag inget spel som på ett enkelt och konkret sätt underlättar förståelse av dessa teorier.Inom område ?Lean Produktion? finns ett spel (?Lean-spelet?) som har för syfte att förklara begreppet slöseri, olika typer av slöseri i produktionsprocessen och hur man kan förbättra produktionen genom eliminering av de olika slöserierna inom produktionsprocessen. Syftet med detta examensarbete är att se på möjligheterna till ett liknande spel för SPC.Utgångspunkten för skapande av sådant spel var design av en monteringsprocess som färdiggör en produkt (i detta fall en traktor).

My purpose with the study is to investigate if it is possible to argue in favor of organizing public libraries according to the client based theory. To create a base to argue from I have studied UFO, a department focused on young adults at the age between 15 and 25 at the public library of Malmö. This case study, performed by investigating the documentation of UFO as well as conducting an interview with the project leader, is the base from which I then can argue for or against the idea of organizing public libraries according to the client based theory. Public libraries should always reflect the communities they serve. This challenges the staff of different libraries in different regions to arrange their organizations accordingly to their local population and to be flexible enough to follow the changes of this population.

Hydropower is the largest renewable energy source available in today's society. Operation and production is handled by high-tech electronics. This thesis is done on behalf of Statkraft Sweden AB who wants to explore the possibility of replacing the hydraulic cylinder with an electric actuator, generally as well as a case of a small power station on the river Nissan. Whether it is the chaplain or francis turbine vanes are actuated by hydraulic cylinders. Because of Gustavsberg hydropower is inconstant operation, this report is based on power calculations, which are read and computed according to the available hydraulic diagram.

FOU-stationen är en anläggning där man bedriver forskning och utveckling av LKAB'sprodukter. När den byggdes installerades även en dammutsugningsanläggning för att ta hand om damm som bildas vid krossning, siktning etc. Efter ett antal ombyggnationer och utbyten av utrustning fungerar nu denna dammutsugningsanläggning väldigt dåligt. Jag har gjort en utredning för att ta reda på varför det inte fungerar och vad man kan göra åt problemen..

Mellan 1960 och 1970 lades många järnvägssträckor ner sin verksamhet i Sverige, spåren revs upp och bilen tog över vår vardags pendling på allvar. Nu när effekterna av bilens framfart blivit kända är tåget åter ett intressant alternativ och olika gamla tågsträckningar vill återupplivas. Simrishamnsbanan är en sådan tågsträcka och är tänkta att åter förena de orter som finns mellan Malmö och Simrishamn. Veberöd är en av de orter som ligger utmed den forna tågsträckan och orten ingår i Lundskommun och mitt syfte med detta examensarbete är att finna svar på hur Veberöd ur ett ekonomiskat, socialt och ekologiskt "hållbart" sätt ska kunna anpassa sig till ett stationsnära läge, med tyngdpunkt på: Bostadsstruktur, Infrastruktur och Grönstruktur. Detta utifrån ett scenario där Simrishamnsbanan realiseras. Examensarbetet börjar med att problematisera hållbarhetsbegreppet och begrepp som täthet och gleshet, därefter följer en omfattande analys av Veberöds historia, bostadsområden, grönstruktur, verksamhet och service.

This final project discusses renewal and upgrading of the area of Prim. It is discussed how this industrial area can be an attractive neighborhood with a varied range of services and commercial trade. Prim is located 2km north-east of the center of Barcelona. The area boarders to a deep railway valley that historically has separated Prim from its neighboring districts. At present there is almost no housing, services or commercial trade within the area and the industry is discontinued or the existing industrial buildings are derelict.

Driveability analysis of terrain data offers an important technique for decision support for all kinds of movements in the terrain. The work described in this report uses a high resolution digital terrain model generated from the laser radar data and further processed by the Category Viewer program, and information from the Real Estate Map. Properties of features found in a filtering process are calculated and compared with a set of rules in a knowledge base to get a driveability cost. This cost is then visualized in a graphical user interface. An evaluation of what driveability is and what it is affected by is performed, and a general cost function is developed, which can be used even if not all relevant information is available.

Denna uppsats analyserar utvecklingen av principen Special and Differential Treatment (SDT) i den internationella handelsregimen. Fokus är på förändringen i tillämpningen av denna princip. Uppsatsen identifierar hur principen har tillämpats sen dess uppkomst samt hur ett skifte i det ekonomiska utvecklingstänkandet kom att utgöra en avgörande faktor för den nedgång i tillämpning som observerats. Vidare identifierar uppsatsen också hur nya dimensioner av världshandeln har skapat nya problem för utvecklingsländerna, vilket i sin tur har skapat ett behov av en fortsatt, men i många avseenden annorlunda, tillämpning av SDT-principen.Uppsatsen kommer till slutsatsen att det nya ekonomiska utvecklingstänkandet har suddat ut rationaliteten bakom det forna tillämpandet av SDT-principen. Samma utvecklingstänkande har dock lagt grunden för en ny tillämning.

För att täcka ett behov av laborationsutrustning för enklare felsökningsövningar på dieselmaskinerför första-års-studenter vid Sjöfartshögskolan, Linnéuniversitetet, startades det här projektet. Syftetvar att tre stycken laborationsstationer skulle byggas ovanpå tre stycken kasserade dieselgeneratorersom skolan hade stående. Det skulle på varje station gå att simulera fyra stycken olika fel, och detskulle även finnas underlag för felsökning till varje station. Eftersom utbildningen är engrundutbildning skulle även hänsyn tas till att många studenter helt kan sakna kunskaper ocherfarenheter av förbränningsmotorer.Projektet har arbetat enligt en praktisk metod där problemet formuleras och struktureras samtlösningen planeras och genomförs. Struktureringen gav vid handen att felsimuleringarna bordeomfatta en förbränningsmotors grundläggande system, samt förbränning.

The increasing threat of climate change has led to a increased need for models to predict future climat. In these models the changes in the soil carbon pools due to changes in microbiel degradation of the organic matter can lead to both positive and negative feedback-effects. There is however a lack of consensues on the temperature respons on degradation soil organic matter. This paper aim to give a better understanding on the factors controlling the temperature respons. The factors studied were the carbon substrate qualitity and the physiological status of the microorganisms.

The purpose with this study is to map the research front and the research base in information science, by using the bibliometric methods bibliographic coupling and author-co citation analysis. The research questions are: 1. What is the nature of the research front in information science, regarding which areas that are being studied? 2. What is the nature of the research base in information science, regarding which authors who are most cited, and how they can be grouped? The data used in the study were gathered from articles published in the journal Journal of the American society for information science and technology, published between 2004-2006, respectively 1986-2006.

The purpose of this thesis work is to formulate a model with methods that describe key success factors to get understanding and awareness in organizational change projects. We have used a project within the township of Gothenburg as a case and connected to this single project the purpose is to identify key success factors to get understanding and awareness among employees within the township of Gothenburg. We hope that our result will be useful in other large organizational change projects. Theoretic basis for our study have been models and methods, while our purpose have been to construct a model with suitable methods for anchoring. Theories about coaching and process management are examples of methods to get understanding and awareness among employees in change projects.
