AbstractThe author Selma Lagerlöf was born in 1858 at Mårbacka, in Värmland and died in 1940. Fifty years after Selma´s death were her correspondence released and ten thousand of letters were found in the collection. But it was just the correspondence between Selma and Sofie Elkan who interested people because they wanted to know if Selma and Sofie have had a sexual relationship. Later, in time for Christmas 2008 the Swedish Television shows a film about Selma. "Selma Lagerlöf Society" was critical to the movie and thougt that the movie focused too much on Selma`s sexual orientation.

Because of the large supply of information is today's leisure travelers very enlightened and have firsthand knowledge of what can be demanded on a hotel stay. Along with business travelers, who are not price sensitive, they place higher demands on the standards and service they require. It has become increasingly important to attract the visitors in a unique way.The purpose of this study is to reveal those aspects which hotels focus on in their business in order to keep their guests, despite the strong competition and the new demands of the changing hotel industry. The study has examined more closely if the hotels have specific concepts in their approach, if their servicescapes (the environment where the service is assembled) are designed in a unique way to attract visitors and if the hotels have special relationships with their guests.The study is qualitative and in order to answer the purpose has observations of the selected hotels and interviews with managers and receptionists been made.One of the conclusions that we reached is that the most important aspect in the hotels business is their relationship to the guests. Each respective hotel strives to have a special and unique relationship with its guests conveyed by its staff.

The market for security is one filled with great opportunities. The security services companies are numerous and diverse, the Swedish market is dominated by two large companies: Securitas Bevakning AB and Falck Security AB. In this study we have focused on the bigger of the two, Securitas. This report describes and analysis the security service branch and its surroundings in an involved manner. The target group of the result is mainly people within the security branch.

Syftet med följande arbete är att undersöka om och hur Learning study som är en metod att granska, analysera och utveckla pedagogiken, kan förbättra undervisningen i teater på gymnasiets teaterestetiska inriktning. Jag vill säkerställa att kommunikationen i undervisningen fungerar och förbättrar deras kunskaper gällande begreppet närvaro inom teaterämnet. Enligt den ryske teaterpedagogen Stanislavskij så innebär närvaro en överensstämmelse mellan skådespelarens övertygelse i karaktären och det uttryck skådespelare och regissör vill förmedla. (Järleby, 2001, s. 174-175.) I detta arbete har jag även reflekterat och redogjort för tidigare forskning genom två studier inom Learning Study och en studie i teater.

Teorier inom relationsmarknadsföring har talat om hur företag kan vinna konkurrensfördelar genom att erbjuda kunden ett totalt serviceerbjudande, där kunden och dennes behov står i centrum. Teorierna beskriver vidare humankapital som den viktigaste resursen och talar i anslutning till detta om utbildning, befogenheter och god kommunikation med ledning. För en mindre aktör på detaljhandelsmarknaden krävs nya vägar att differentiera sig när större, väletablerade kedjor erbjuder likartade sortiment till liknande priser. Parfymeri L är ett familjeföretag med butiker i fem svenska städer som säljer selektiv kosmetik. De satsar på att erbjuda personlig service och uppger att personalen är den viktigaste resursen för ett företag i deras position.

Based upon theories founded on social constructionism, and criticism raised against these theories, this study aims to present a more complex perspective on non-heterosexuality from what has earlier been presented in Swedish lesbian, gay, bisexuality and transsexuality research. Fourteen semi-structured interviews with non-heterosexual women were analyzed using a discourse analytic approach. Four discourses about sexuality were described: "definition, preferably as either-or (heterosexual or homo-sexual)", "normality", "sexuality as constant and unchangeable", "sexuality as homogenous". Different ways of relating to and challenging the positions offered through these discourses were discussed. In conclusion, the study discussed which implications these findings have for psychologists working with non-heterosexual women, and how discursive positioning can be understood from within a psychological framework..

This essay aims to investigate how students in upper secondary school perceive the subject religion A. The study is both qualitative and quantitative and I will use a survey to investigate the perception of religion among students both vocationally oriented and theory oriented. I will use questions concerning religious background and perception on the subject in relation to the curriculum but also try to investigate whether there are differences on perception between the vocational and theory orientation. The theoretical approach is mainly based on the curriculum concerning religion A but former research is also used such as books written by Sven G Hartman (2000), Ulf Sjödin (1995), Ove Larsson (1991), Elsie Davidsson (1989) and Anders Törnwall (1988). The result in the study is that students for the most part perceive the subject religion A as something positive and the background has a connection to their present perception.

The aim of this study was to examine the possibilities to enter the regular labour market for pupils and young adults with intellectual disabilities. The method used is tape-recorded qualitative interviews with; Two pupils with intellectual disabilities, studying the last year at a special school. Two young adults with intellectual disabilities, former pupils at a special school and at the moment in search of work at a Public Employment Service office for young adults with disabilities. Furthermore were interviews made with two professionals, one student counsellor at a special school and one representative at a Public Employment Service office for young adults with disabilities. For analysing the empirical data, Iris Marion Young's theory about Five Faces of Oppression, Crip theory and Dalrymple and Burkes theory about empowerment was used.

Detta examensarbete innefattar en kundenkätundersökning i Kalix kommun där 500 st slumpvis utvalda personer får medverka genom att besvara 47 st frågor som handlar bland annat om gator, parker, vatten och avlopp samt sophämtning i Kalix kommun. En viktig del i en kommuns trovärdighet gentemot medborgarna är att de får göra sin röst hörd. Ett sätt är att medborgarna får medverka i en kundenkätundersökning där de kan svara på frågor som gäller den tekniska servicen i kommunen. Med hjälp av denna undersökning kan kommunen ta del av medborgarnas svar och synpunkter och bemöta dem. Syftet med examensarbetet är att undersöka vad Kalixborna anser om kommunens gator, parker, vatten och avlopp och sophämtningen, och hur de kan vara med och påverka kommunens tekniska service och på det sättet underlätta för Kalix kommun till förbättringar inom dessa områden.

SyfteSyftet med intervjuundersökningen var att ta reda på om eleverna medverkar i planeringen i ämnet Idrott och Hälsa och vad de kan påverka. Delaktighet har olika innebörder i olika sammanhang, delaktighet i yrkeslivet kan handla om arbetsmoral och delaktighet i skolan om integrering eller elevinflytande.Metod6 elever i åk 4-6 intervjuades i en ostrukturerad intervjuundersökning där de först deltog i en gruppdiskussion. Från dessa sex elever gjordes ett urval där tre elever fick medverka i en personlig intervjuundersökning för att ta reda på hur väl eleverna kände sig delaktiga och vilket inflytande de hade i skolan i planeringen inom ämnet Idrott och Hälsa . Vid intervjutillfället användes papper och penna.ResultatEleverna ansåg att läraren bestämmer det mesta i innehållet i ämnet Idrott och Hälsa. De aktiviteter eleverna hade varit med och planerat med läraren var olika lekar och bollsporter.

E-handeln har haft en enorm tillväxt de senaste åren och börjar konkurrera ut detaljhandeln på marknaden. Internets utveckling har bidragit till att konsumenter idag kan handla enklare och billigare genom e-handel. Ett problem som företagen ständigt står inför är att identifiera vilka faktorer som tillfredställer konsumentens behov på bästa möjliga sätt.Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur faktorerna; avstånd, tid, pris, bra service och information i relation till varandra påverkar konsumentens val mellan e-handel respektive detaljhandel vid köp av mobiltelefon och böcker. Dessutom avser vi att studera likheter och skillnader mellan män och kvinnor.Resultatet från denna undersökning bygger på en kvantitativ enkätundersökning utförd med hjälp av studenter i Ekonomikum vid Uppsala Universitet. Studenter anser att pris och information är de viktigaste faktorerna vid köp av mobiltelefon, medan pris och tid är mest viktiga vid köp av böcker.

Kommunen har som mål i samhällsbyggandet att förnya och förtäta det bebyggda stadsområdet. De vill fortsätta med stadsbyggandet bland annat längs med Bäveån till Inre Hamnområdet. Kommunen vill även ha en blandad bebyggelse med bostäder, verksamheter och service. Att förnya och förtäta i befintliga områden, i det här fallet Inre hamnområdet, leder därför till korta avstånd för de boende till arbete och service. I och med en utbyggnad av Inre Hamnområdet kommer centrum att utökas mot sydväst och därmed få större vattenkontakt. En förnyelse skall stärka samt komplettera stadens centrum och attraktivitet. Inre Hamnområdet utgör med andra ord ett högintressant område med ett centralt läge med möjligheter till bra kommunikationsmöjligheter, service och attraktivt boende.

In today?s ever-evolving society the use of cash is replaced by digital services in the banking sector. Some local banks restrict manual cash handling while others remove it completely. This essay examines how management accounting is affected by restricted cash handling. The theory clarifies that management accounting strategies create guidelines and provides specific framework for employees and managers in the organization.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate and analyse the private researchers encounter with the Royal Library, national library of Sweden. The main focus is on answering the two questions: who is the private researcher and what is his/her impression of the Royal Library? These questions are answered from the vantage point of the following theoretical perspectives: library anxiety, Bourdieu, library architecture, gender studies and service management. The methods used are qualitative interviews, and textual analysis using the printout of these taped interviews along with notes and an earlier user study as material. The conclusions are that barriers with staff is the most frequent factor of library anxiety in the private researcher at the Royal Library, and mechanical barriers the least frequent.

The purpose of this study is to examine immigrants' experiences of social services' treatmentand their expectations of social services. In this study we have used the following questions:how immigrants have experienced the treatment of the social service, the way in whichimmigrants would like to be treated by social services as well as what kind of beliefs andexpectations immigrants have concerning the social services' duties and powers. We haveused a qualitative method in the study that consists of ten semi-structured interviews. Thetheoretical concepts we have used are culture, ethnicity, cultural competence, professionalismand social psychology. The survey reveals a majority of negative experiences, such as afeeling of being ?tossed around?, suspicion and discrimination by the caseworkers due to theethnicity of the respondents.
