Medarbetarskap: kärnan till en hög servicekvalitet? : En flerfallsstudie kring förhållandet mellan en hög servicekvalitet, medarbetarskap och ledarskap

Syftet med denna studie var att analysera förhållandet mellan tre inom detaljhandeln väsentliga områden; ledarskap, medarbetarskap och service.En allt större konkurrens på den svenska detaljhandelsmarknaden tillsammans med utökade krav från konsumenterna, innebär stora påtryckningar på branschens butiker. De som i första hand möter de förändrade kraven är butikernas medarbetare, vilka således utsätts för allt större press från flera håll. För samtidigt som konsumenterna ställer högre krav på servicen som medarbetarna förmedlar, växer företagens interna krav på att göra butikerna så konkurrenskraftiga som möjligt. Följderna blir då ofta en begränsad bemanning och färre arbetstimmar för butikerna, vilket skapar en paradoxal arbetssituation för butikernas medarbetare.Forskning på området för service och servicekvalitet framhåller ett stort värde hos personalen i frontlinjen. Medarbetare bör ses som en förutsättning för att kunna erbjuda en hög servicekvalitet, varpå forskningen betonar vikten av att göra medarbetarna delaktiga i utformningen och utvecklingen av butikens servicearbete.

Integrationens villovägar : En kvalitativ studie om hur personal på HVB-hem för ensamkommande barn beskriver barnens integration i samhället.

This study discloses Swedish human service organizations and their methods of integrating unaccompanied children into the Swedish society. The purpose of the study is to investigate how social workers at HVB-homes for unaccompanied children depict their experience in and knowledge of how the unaccompanied children are integrated into Swedish society. The method of investigating the questions raised by the purpose of this thesis has been qualitative analysis of answers derived from interviewing personnel at HVB-homes for unaccompanied children. In doing so we have made use of a semi-structured method of interviewing the above-mentioned personnel. The data derived from these interviews has thereafter been analysed and filtered through the concept of integration and the theoretical formations human service organizations and street-level bureaucrats.

Bland världsmedborgare och vita världar : en studie av relationen mellan vithet och solidaritet i fyra kvinnors berättelser om sitt arbete med immigranter

The aim of this essay is to examine the ambivalence that I consider work of solidarity carried out from majority position to be associated with, and whether it makes sense to understand the relationship between majorities and minorities involved in this work by using the concepts of race and whiteness. Through Ruth Frankenbergs work on white women and race I consider whiteness to be a racialized position, and through Sara Ahmeds phenomenology of whiteness, which describes racialization as made through the orientation of bodies, I investigate how this racialized position is shaped and maintained by the solidarity work. The study is based on qualitative interviews with four White women engaged in two organizations that works on integration of female immigrants through creating jobs in a cooperative and through educating in national and familial democracy. The work of solidarity told of by the interviewees seems to produce racialized notions about immigrated people of color, which acts as a counterpart to the whiteness that the interviewees themselves possess. At the same time, the work also challenge this binary division, especially by incorporating the non-white women in what in this essay is called "the white world"..

Effektivisering av mindre lager

The project was conducted during a period from November 2014 to January 2015 at the company Westermo Teleindustri AB (WTE). The subject of the project was to make an inventory more efficient. The inventory was located at WTE, but was owned by the subsidiary Westermo Sverige (WSE).The inventory had a high amount of tied up capital. This was due to products that hadn?t been sold.

"The love that dare not speak its name" : om sexuell läggning och flyktingskap

The purpose of this composition was to examine which international and Swedish laws exist to govern the protection of asylum seekers claiming persecution on the grounds of sexual orientation. Additionally I wanted to look at what the need for such a right to refuge would be based upon, i.e. why asylum seekers ought to be granted such protection. In order to fulfil my objectives I based my material on international and Swedish laws, comparing these to studies of what negative impact growing up and living as homosexual in an oppressed environment can have on the individual, psychologically and socially. To highlight and exemplify my material I used Iran as a case-study to reflect my facts upon.I found that there has been, and still seems to be a lack of interest in and commitment to the persecution of homosexuals around the world.

Etiska regler och konkurrensregler inom advokatyrket

Uppsatsen innehåller en studie av hur etiska regler, vilka framför allt återfinns inom advokatyrket, påverkar konkurrensen och de konflikter som uppstår mellan de svenska och europeiska konkurrensreglerna och dessa etiska regler. Mer specfikt identifieras vilka konkurrenshämmande effekter dessa regler medför, och vilka alternativ som finns för att kombinera etiska regler och konkurrensregler på ett sådant sätt att minsta möjliga skada uppstår för konsumenterna av advokattjänster. Resultatet av uppsatsen är att vissa etiska regler bör elimineras eller modifieras, eftersom de påverkar marknaden på ett negativt sätt utan att medföra motsvarande vinster annorstädes. The essay contains a studie on how ethical rules, here represented by the rules for the law profession, influence the competition. Furthermore are the conflicts that appear between the ethical rules and the Swedish and European competition rules identified and analysed.

Sammanställning av möjligheter att konvertera ICD till AIS för bedömning av risken för medicinsk invaliditet : En systematisk litteraturstudie

The aim of this study is to create an increased understanding of shared leadership and how it takes shape in the relationship between first-line managers in human service organizations. Shared leadership is seen as a complement to the traditional one-man leadership and briefly means that two managers share the role that usually is held by a single leader. The study has a qualitative approach based on semi-structured interviews with managers in human service organizations. The interviews mention the mangers thoughts and experiences about shared leadership and gain approval in the hermeneutic science field. The study is analyzed based on symbolic interactionism where perspectives from the theoreticians Mead and Goffman are used.

Ensamkommande barn : En studie om samverkan samt professionellas syn på barnets bästa

The aim of the study was to examine collaboration and professional perspectives on the best interest of the child in regards to working with unaccompanied asylum seeking children. Firstly, our result show that counselling is available for the unaccompanied children from case workers, staff, school counsellors and emergency psychiatric care. All of the participants in this study describe the need for long-term counselling for unaccompanied children, however, providing the long-term counselling is not the primary purpose of the organisations in question. Therefore an additional service-provider working with counselling is a necessity. Secondly, the study explores the participants? professional perspectives on the best interest of the child.

Att mäta generell skam : En analys baserad på Raschmodellen

The purpose of this paper was to investigate whether Suzanne Retzinger?s linguistic cues for shame and verbal behaviors for hiding shame could be used to measure shame in surveys based on Thomas Scheff?s theory of shame. I created a measurement instrument consisting of 30 statements, which were all meant to measure general shame.The instrument was administrated to 180 respondents studying at Karlstad University, of whom 4 respondents were removed from the data set due to lack of standardization. With the polytomous rasch model used for the analysis, data from 176 respondents were analyzed, of whom 124 respondents were female and 52 were male.The result showed that the measurement instrument?s statements should not be used together because the analysis indicated multidimensionality.

The aim of this master thesis is to investigate the mobile library development in Sweden since the start in Borås, Sweden in 1948. We have concentrated on three six-year periods. Our aim has been to describe a part of the mobile library development. We wanted to research the background of the said development. To do this we also studied the library and overall development in Sweden during the same years.

Möbelbranschen - hur små företag kan överleva på den svenska marknaden

The furniture retail industry in Sweden has gone trough large changes during the last decades. Today the industry is tough and in the maturity stage where few new companies enter, especially if they do not have a unique offer. The furniture companies have become larger and fewer, the changes have lead to difficulties for smaller and medium sized companies to grow and be profitable.Our purpose is to analyse, evaluate and compare three smaller companies in Stockholm with the intention to find what kind of marketing strategies they are using to survive on the Swedish market. First we interviewed the three companies to see what they do to survive on the market, then we asked 100 persons to fill in a questionnaire to see if they had the same opinion as the companies described.With help from theories we prepared questions which laid the foundation to the empirical part of the essay.The result from this study shows that the three companies differ from each other when it comes to using relationship marketing and placing the customer in the centre. All of them are aware of the importance of doing so, but because of different limits and possibilities they can not fully adjust everything to the customer.

Aim:The aim of this study is to examine similarities and differences in eating habits in students ages 16-19 in high school.Questions:How do eating habits differ between adolescent athletes and non-athletes?What significance does living conditions and religious background have on the eating habits of adolescents? Method: This study is of a quantitative approach using survey questions.The method used was questionnaires. Three schools participated in the study. The school provided programs with and without athletic orientation. My purpose was to give out 200 surveys but in the end the total of handed out surveys landed on 141.

Informella sittplatser i det offentliga stadsrummet : applicerat på gråbrödersplatsen, en ny plats i Lund

This thesis is about informal seatings, those which are planned to merge into the city core environment and to supply a flexible public space. The thesis discusses how a diverse range of elements could result in different functions and social meanings. These are illustrated with visual examples and conceptual drawings. The position of the seating in a small public place is important, as well as its location in the city. Furthermore, the detail design of the seating, such as the form and dimensions have to be considered in order to create an informal seating appropriate for the user. This leads to the broad scope of this thesis which deals with the small scale - how the seatings can create a good environment in a small place; and the big scale - how a site can influence the city. This thesis suggests the physical design of some informal seatings and also investigates how these seatings can strengthen the place through their function and how they relate to their surroundings.

Servive med förhinder : Hur man som butikschef för Systembolaget kan förbättra kundservicen utifrån företagets försäljningsregler

Denna rapport baseras på en undersökning som går ut på att ta reda på vad man sombutikschef på Systembolaget kan göra för att förbättra kundservicen inom ramarna för despecifika försäljningsregler som företaget måste följa på grund av det monopol påförsäljning av alkoholhaltiga drycker som föreligger.I rapporten tas teorier om servicekvalitet upp där vi bland annat har utgått ifrån tekniskoch funktionell kvalitet, olika teorier om kundservice och personlig service,påverkansmetoder samt teori om organisationens betydelse för servicekvalitet.Vi har använt oss av en kvalitativ undersökningsmetod där vi intervjuat butikschefer i treav Systembolagets butiker. Vidare har vi även använt oss av observationer ochbenchmarking. Det sammanställda resultatet har tillsammans med teorin utgjort en grundnär vi analyserat resultatet av undersökningen och tittat på likheter och skillnader mellanteori och praktik.Den centrala slutsatsen vi kom fram till är att Systembolaget ligger efter i kundservice, dådetta ämne börjat uppmärksammats fullt ut först på senare år. För att utveckla sinkundservice rekommenderar vi bland annat att företagets butiker i större omfattning skallanvända sig av både extern och intern benchmarking för att på så sätt förbättra den egnaverksamheten. Vi kommer även med rekommendationer på åtgärder som vi anser skullekunna öka kundservicen inom Systembolaget..
