I interventionsstudien var vårt syfte att undersöka om det finns ett samband mellan intensiv läsundervisning och ordavkodningen hos elever som har en långsam och osäker läsning. Vi genomförde tre läsrelaterade tester på 29 elever i årskurs 2 för att kartlägga deras ordavkodningsförmåga. Utifrån resultaten gjorde vi ett urval av fyra elever som vi kallade försöksgrupp. Dessa fick en-till-en-undervisning i olika ordavkodningsstrategier under fyra veckor vid 16 tillfällen, varje gång i 25-30 minuter. Vår undervisningsmodell inriktade sig mot fonologisk, morfologisk, syntaktisk och semantisk lästräning.

Tryckkvalitet för tryck med inkjetteknik kan kvantifieras på en rad olika sätt, bland de viktigaste är färgåtergivning och skärpa. STFI InkJet Test utvärderar just dessa. Frågan är om denna mätmetod korrelerar med den visuella upplevelsen. Syftet med studien var att finna vilka samband som råder mellan tryckkvalitet som uppmäts med instrument och den subjektiva tryckkvalitet som uppfattas av det mänskliga ögat. I undersökningens första del gjordes instrumentella mätningar med STFI InkJet Test på olika typer av papper.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att analysera hur ett antal makrovariabler påverkar på och samverkar med priserna på småhus. Även hur variablerna reagerar på chocker sinsemellan studeras.Tidsserieanalysen bygger på månadsdata från år 1996 fram till 2006, som innehåller alla försäljningar av småhusfastigheter i hela Sverige. Det kvalitetsindex som används för att analysera priserna är K/T- talet. För att studera skillnader, avseende samverkan och påverkan, regioner emellan görs en uppdelning av landet i regionerna Stockholm, Göteborg, Malmö, Glesbygd samt hela Sverige. För att testa olika makrovariablers påverkan på K/T- talen används Grangers kausalitets test.

Upprepad testning vid inlärning förstärker långtidsminnet. Fenomenet är även känt som testeffekten (Roediger & Karpicke, 2006). Huvudsyftet med föreliggande studie var att undersöka testeffekten och jämföra den med inlärningseffekter av gruppdiskussioner. Andra syften var att undersöka om inlärning påverkades av individuella skillnader samt av testfrågornas komplexitet. Experiment genomfördes under fyra tillfällen och sammanlagt tolv studenter medverkade.

The expectations of a successful outcome are great during childbirth. The overall objective of prenatal care and birth care is that midwives contribute in creating the most positive experience of pregnancy, child birth and infancy as possible. During the past 30 years there has been a significant increase in sectiofrequency both in Sweden and the rest of the Western world. More parents feel an overall insecurity when it comes to child labour. The purpose of this study was to describe how midwives experience the work of creating a sense of security and good nursing when meeting the expectant parents.

Arbetet har utförts på Ejendals AB i Leksand. Syftet var att ta reda på vilken inverkan stötdämpning i skor har på användaren och hur man ska anpassa stötdämpningen efter användaren. Genom intervjuer, enkäter och litteratur har kunskap om ämnet samlats in. I nästa steg genomfördes ett test på Clas Ohlsons centrallager i Insjön. 21 personer fick testa ett antal olika skor från Ejendals sortiment.

Background Calprotectin is a protein expressed in the cytoplasm inside the neutrophile granulocytes. During inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), the neutrophile granulocytes are involved in a complex interaction at the inflammatory area where they die and release their content into the intestinal lumen. Therefore, calprotectin in stool is a suitable marker for diagnosis and measurement of the disease-activity in patients with IBD. The most commonly used method to detect calprotectin in stool is ELISA, but the process of manual preparation of stool samples is time-consuming.Aim The objective of the study was to evaluate an extraction method that could replace manual preparation of fecal samples and to compare different methods for measuring Calprotectin in stool using two ELISA-methods from two manufacturers and one rapidtest.Methods For extraction of calprotectin from stool samples we used sample collector tubes from Epitope Diagnostics and fecal preparation kits from Roche. Two different ELISA-kits for measuring calprotectin concentration in stool were compared.

AbstractWorking with child and youth welfare is one of the most difficult challenges a social worker might face in the field of social work. Those who work with child and youth welfare are more exposed to stress and burnout than other comparable human service occupations. Research links the prevalence of stress and burnout to several key variables, such as demographics, working conditions and personality factors. In contrast, even though social workers in this field face many negative work-related problems they report a high job satisfaction. The aim of this study is to examine how uplifting and straining experiences affect social workers, who work with child and youth welfare, through the use of The Critical Incident Technique and interviews.

Websites are often developed by small businesses, organizations or individuals which may lead to that the testing gets left behind; the focus is on getting a finished product that can be deployed as quickly and as cheaply as possible.Functional testing is important also for websites and a variety of aids exist. With the right tools and methods the development work is facilitated, and it leads to products with fewer faults.This report shows in the form of a case study how an appropriate tool for functional testing can be selected and how it can be used within development of a website. An analysis of the tools available is reported and JSystem is selected as the most appropriate for this case.It turned out that JSystem could not be used fully as intended in terms of deployment, but a well-functioning alternative solution was developed.A number of test cases were created without any unsolvable problems and JSystem performed well. Background: Good quality of communication has a significant role and is essential in the care, and there are many factors that have an impact on the communication between nurse and patient. It is important that the interaction and communication is directed to and focused on understanding in broad sense in order to make sure that the meeting between nurse and care taker will result in something positive. Through a greater understanding the cooperation between nurse and the patient will be facilitated, which will create opportunities for both sides to be part of and contribute to a meaningful rehabilitation.Purpose: The aim of the study is to describe how the elderly patient and the nurse experience the communication within the health care, however also to identify what factors that are essential for an optimal communication.2Method: In this study the method that has been chosen is metasynthesis. The metasynthesis method implies that qualitative studies, that illustrate elderly patients and nurses perceptions and experiences of communication within health care, have systematically been reviewed and compiled to a result.Result: The analysis of the study?s results in a composition that consist of the following three themes; the patients and the nurses perspective on how information should be conveyed, the role of the time aspect in communication and the impact of the attitude on communication.
