This report discusses how well the competences the master program in Information Technology, given by the Royal Institute of Technology, meet the demands from the business life. It is made qualitative and about 20 companies have taken part to get the results. The study has been made to see how well the three first years and the entire five year master, with different aiming, meets the demands. The results shows that the master program needs to be remodeled to meet the demands in the more ?softer competencies?, which for example is people management and an understanding about economical, juridical and cultural aspects.

ABSTRACTAbout 17% of all deliveries in Akademiska Sjukhuset end with caesarean section. The purpose of the survey was to study parental pairs experience to undergo a caesarean section and experience of information about surgery. The aim was also to see if there were differences between those undergoing a planned or an emergency caesarean section, as well as differences between the birthing women and their partners. 100 couples participated in the study and answered a questionnaire 1-3 days after they had undergone surgery. The result showed that the vast majority of parental pairs were satisfied with the information they received before the caesarean section.

Syftet med denna systematiska litteraturstudie var att undersöka hur patienter med prostatacancer uppfattade den givna informationen om sin sjukdom och behandlingen av den. Författarna har utgÄtt frÄn Willman m fl (2006) evidensbaserade metod. De vetenskapliga artiklarna som legat till grund för studien granskades i protokoll av Carlsson & Eiman m fl (2003), modifierade av författarna. Studien innefattar tolv vetenskapliga artiklar. Författarna kom i resultatet fram till tre olika temaomrÄden: informationsmaterial och hjÀlpmedel, informatörer och stödgivare samt behov av information.

Previous research has shown that the market reacts on stock recommendations. As the Internet has made financial information more available and cheaper to assess one could believe that the market reflects more available information today. If this is true the market will react less on recommendation made by journalists, which generally consists of processed public information. The stock market should thus be more efficient according to the efficient market hypothesis. This study examines initially if we can conclude that stock recommendations made by journalists generate returns above the expected returns, hence abnormal returns.

In Eskilstuna and Sweden in general the level of reuse of surplus material containing soils and rocks from excavation is low. In this report the potential for increasing the reuse of excavated material in Eskilstuna by using a web-based earth information database has been examined. The purpose of a web-based earth information database is to connect those who have surplus material with those who need material for a fast and simple transaction. The intention is to give Eskilstuna a more environmentally and economically efficient handling of surplus material by increasing the level of reuse and thereby reducing the amount of surplus material that is wasted and emissions given off to the atmosphere during transportation. The potential has been examined in two different ways, by tracing information about a number of projects to see if excavated material driven to the dump could have been used in another project and by interviewing eight of the work leaders active in Eskilstuna.

I sin tur leder det till ett outforskat omrÄde, sen diagnostik och sÀmre överlevnadsprognos.Syfte: Beskriva mÀns upplevelse av att ha bröstcancer.Metod: Författarna har valt att göra en litteraturstudie baserad pÄ sex original artiklar med kvalitativ ansats, granskade efter Willman, Stoltz och Bahtsevane (2011) kriterier. Den teoretiska referensramen var en ansats utifrÄn ett livsvÀrldsperspektiv.Resultat: I studien framkom tvÄ kategorier och fem subkategorier utifrÄn Granheim & Lundmans (2004) innehÄllsanalys. Kategorierna var: Upplevelse av att ha bröstcancer, Upplevelse av delaktighet.

Detta arbete undersöker huruvida sÀttet information i spel presenteras pÄ, kan pÄverka en individs inlÀrning. Undersökningen fokuserar pÄ tvÄ olika teorier inom inlÀrning, den ena Àr behaviorismen och den andra Àr lÀrandet som en social process eller sociokultur som den ocksÄ kan kallas. TvÄ versioner av ett spel har skapats dÀr respektive lÀrandeteori har anvÀnts. Undersökningen har dÀrefter gjorts pÄ tvÄ urvalsgrupper som fÄtt spela igenom spelen för att sedan svara pÄ kunskapsfrÄgor. Resultatet frÄn de tvÄ urvalsgrupperna var spridda, dÀr den yngre mÄlgruppen gynnades mer av ett behavioristiskt lÀrande, medan den Àldre gruppen gynnades mer av det sociokulturella.

Public opinion can be shaped as well as transformed in a number of ways. Government authorities occasionally make use of public information campaigns to educate and steer the public. In this thesis the balance between public and private, the individual and the society is analysed in terms of dimensions of individualism and communitarianism. These dissimilar theories on how the society ought to be constructed can be used when analysing many different policy areas, however, they also pinpoint the controversies seen in the public debate regarding Swedish information policy. Based on this analysis an empirical study identifies what kind of knowledge the state wants the citizens to possess and public information campaigns can be problematic.

 We have chosen to write our thesis within a transport company. The work was carried out at DHL activities in Uppsala. DHL is one of the leading transport companies worldwide. Our interest lies in more efficient and advanced transportation and terminals, as globalization and new trends require effective solutions.The aim of our work is to explain the need for information technology applications in road haulage and associated terminal operations. Furthermore, we analyses terminal and applied information technology.

This paper deals with the use of Internet at Swedish public libraries. The author asks whether public libraries should or should not limit access to information available on the Internet. Starting from the American discussion, concerning Internet at public libraries, the author shows the Swedish attitudes. The paper demonstrates that many Swedish public libraries have adopted rules forbidding retrieval of certain kinds of information, such as hard-core pornography and racist propaganda. The persons in charge of such actions claim that public libraries should provide high-quality educational literature and should not spread mass-produced, provocative information.

Att kÀnna hopp nÀr en nÀrstÄende Àr sjuk kan upplevas som en berg och dalbana. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva nÀrstÄendes upplevelse av hopp nÀr en person drabbas av sjukdom. Litteraturstudien Àr baserad pÄ tjugotre vetenskapliga artiklar som analyserats med en manifest kvalitativ innehÄllsanalys. Analysen resulterade i fyra kategorier: Hopp pÄverkas av information, Andlighet och alternativa metoder ger en kÀnsla av hopp, Relationer med andra mÀnniskor ger hopp och Hopp Àr under stÀndig förÀndring. Det framkom att information och kunskap om sjukdomen bidrog till att nÀrstÄende kÀnde hopp, men att information inte alltid gavs ut rÀtt eller att det uteblev helt..

Sufficient and accurate search support is a crucial factor for successful information searching on web sites. This thesis evaluates the search support on the second version of the web site studera.nu with particular focus on how the web site meets up to criteria formulated on the basis of theories from research in information seeking and information searching. The evaluation is a preliminary investigation that may serve as a basis for a future more comprehensive evaluation. The four major questions for my thesis have been: 1. För att kvinnor ska kunna fatta ett vÀlgrundat beslut om att medverka vid mammografi som hÀlsokontroll eller inte, bör informationen vara relevant och sanningsenlig. Evidensbaserad information som beskriver bÄde för- och nackdelar med mammografi som hÀlsokontroll Àr dÀrför av stor vikt. Syftet:Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka innehÄllet i den information som skickas till kvinnor i Sverige i samband med kallelsen till mammografi som hÀlsokontroll.

Mycket resurser lÀggs idag ner för att uppmuntra till ett hÄllbart agerande, men det Àr lÄngt ifrÄn bra och pÄ mÄnga omrÄden finns brister.
